I love shooting long range centerfire, but there is something so rewarding about target shooting with 22lr. I have way more time behind my 22 than anything else. You two are a good team. Keep the vids coming!

One of my dad's favourite summer pastime with us, 22lr as far as we could get on Arizona desert squirrels. Don't think we hit much beyond 440yards with our marlin 60s, but good fun and practice, much like this. Good videos, great chanel, doing the good work here👍

When I was in high school back in the 80s, my best friend and I would take our 22 rifles to an old abandoned quarry and set up targets (clay pigeons and other things) at the bottom, then climb up the rock cliffs to an elevated position and plink targets at different ranges out to several hundred yards. We didn't have any decent camera equipment to record it though. It was a lot of fun

Great video and fun to see you all having a good time. 22lr is about the only fun we can afford these days! Still WAAAAAY more fun than staying home. I always say, "Even if you miss, the gun still goes bang!" Thanks mates....cheers!

I have a Hawke Advantage scope on my 452. The BDC reticle is spot on for my subsonic ammo out to 200 yards. It makes an exercise like this really easy.... apart from the wind and a little compensation for spin drift at longer ranges.😀
    Great fun.

Couple days ago I was able to hit a steel Target at 300 yards away with my 17 HMR. Didn't think I was able to hit it with that strong wind but I was able to. The scope made a great difference

I enjoy plinking with my. 22LR as much as anything, next to hunting. I can't think of anything I do with my wife and grandchildren that is more enjoyable outside in nature. I've never thought about using that much holdover to shoot shots of several hundred yards, however, so, weather permitting, I might give it a go this weekend. Thanks again for another awesome video.

My 8 year old son and I have been shooting my savage a22 target out to 325yrds but we are using 10” steel at 200 and 20” at 300+. It’s a ton of fun and a lot harder than I expected. Good shooting!

I like to set up "hostage situations" with hotdogs or clay figures, with "friendlies" you avoid shooting and targets behind hard cover you have to "wall bang". Potatoes make good targets they explode white chunks everywhere and you dont have to pick them up after, they are really cheap here since I live near Idaho. Great shooting

I did something similar a while back and noticed big ES in velocity with CCI standard ammo (~75fps ES). I brought out an old box of CCI Green Tag I bought over a decade ago and it was much better (~20fps ES). I should have bought a whole lot more of that ammo back in the day! 😂

22lr is just good cheap fun.
    I have a cz457 with a cheap 3-9 and a bergara b14r in a mpa hybrid chassis with a mid range 8-34.
Managed to hit an 8in gong at 300m 6/10 times after the first impact.
Hardly impressive, but not bad considering I have less that 1000 rounds of total rifle experience.
    Damn good fun

Mighty fine shooting there Mark & Sam . A lot of shooters never practice with their 22Lr rifles out past 100 yards . More shooters should fire more rounds from prone to using all field positions out to 150 or 200 yards with cheap 22 Lr ammunition. Just find an accurate brand of ammunition that shoots well in your rifle and fire away . There is no better practice.

I love shooting my .22 lr . My record for a rabbit is 200 yards but I was cheating some used the atn X sight 4k with the abl 1500 but still good fun . I think there's something about using a underdog to touch at range makes it more fulfilling. Plus a smile on your face .
Question now what you think of none lead rounds ? I know they more hunting UK laws coming in means that deer and game food must be shot with lead free . Will it mess with accuracy much or same ?
