I never understood the obsession's with this era - the time-preiod was hell on earth - construction of geocide that countries have yet to recover from - even the life of the oppressor was bad. Even if you had your bloodline all right as woman you had gone from complete control to being unable to inherit, even as a man there was social compression - even if you had it you didn't - it goes against everything that is right in the world - its a miserable exitance - its so evil it ropes back around to being pathetic - they destroyed the world and imprisoned themselves. It is one of the few times you cannot separate clothes from the era due to the clothes being a show of the eras delusion of grandeur and a cornerstone of its belief system. Their claim was absolute grandeur, even if you were Scottish or upper middle class you are dirt beneath their feet - they are superior to everyone and everything - and THIS is what they come up with? THIS? Take it out of its era its ok - but after you see it reflected up against the belief that they are superior than God himself - its rather uninspired. These are the outfits they wore as the slurped up food of labor of the people they were staring to death - cuz they wanted to wipe them off the face of the earth( Ireland has yet to recover the population it lost, they were near reach 9 million before the geocide, to this day they have yet to reach over 5 mil). That just the tip of the iceberg. Its truly the portrait of "all ego no substance". They amounted to nothing and were one of the height's of regression in society. "Regencycore", the mere concept feels as uncultured as gucci blackface turtle neck. You cannot reimagine what is rotten. To see people follow it without a hint of irony is rather baffling. All that research and not once did one stop up and evaluate that maybe one should not glamorize one of the most horrid eras in human history - especially the ones who's core belief is that - what they have created (including their fashion) is superior to everyone and everything. Maybe not that one. like Y2k main fashion statement was NOT that the designers of the clothes were the ONLY ones that were considered truly human. Regency clothes' had that as their main statement. They are superior and others are not considered human. You see how that fashion statement cannot be glamorized. If anything it should be made fun of how utterly delusional it is.
