Guess what, 8 tracks don't play any more either, but the songs still exist.
    Very interesting interview... thanks both.
The debate about the term comic especially.
Sequential art is too dry, story art is pretty apt.

      Glad you liked the discussion.
What do you mean with your 8-track comment?
There's no perfect term, so I keep settling on Comics as default. I'm pleased MCAD, where I teach, has a Comics program rather than a Sequential Art program, no slight meant to Eisner.
I still prefer the term "Movies' over "Film" and "Cinema," too. "Cartoonist" bugs a tad, when applied to a comics practitioner, for a few reasons, but is also my default term...for now. :D

@@comixcrush Oh, the points made about digital art, talking about CDs were not well conceived.
I haven't played a CD in years but I did transfer them to data when them time was right.
I've never seen the mona Lisa... not in real life and apart from the work I've made and some friends, I've never seen original comic art, just the print.
The anti digital bias is fine, just get a less flimsy argument to defend the trolling I'd say. :)

@@chuzzbot Oh, I see. To each their own, it's just opinion - but I think he was talking mainly delivery than the work itself, at least in regards to Toth. I keep my hand in both traditional and digital, and see the value of both, and encourage my students to do the same. James and I have spoken before, and agree that owning or viewing Toth originals is not all that important to us - the work as the reader/viewer experiences it is the thing.
