    Thank you for this video. I hope you’re watching this ladies videos Thor Industries. Not only to see the types of modifications she is making, which I believe every person who is considering purchasing a Thor Sanctuary 19P would like to see you implement in your future upgrades. But also to see the very disconcerting poor quality in your assembly plant. These issues certainly cause me to hesitate purchasing a Thor Sanctuary. I do hope you will up your game. You have a great product but there’s no advantage to having your lower price point if those who purchase your camper vans have to make immediate repairers due to poor workmanship. I’m looking forward to seeing the upgrades Ryker Mom is making as well as an improvement in your quality control.

      Larry, Believe it or not Thor is watching my videos and has even reached out to me in the past asking if my issues had been addressed. The funny thing is that they never responded to my response to them. I guess I am just a little fish in a big pond, but maybe someday they will realize that even little fish can have a big influence especially since my channel gets over 2000 views a day and is growing faster and faster each day. I too hope that these videos make a difference in future models. Thanks for Watching!

    Excellent as usual, will check mines as well. When I picked my van up, it leaked at the filter. Also, if you have ice or ice tray and they defrost, the water runs down and on the floor, sucks. the fridge works very well.

    Thanks for sharing, it’s incredible they didn’t perform the seal and left sharp screw to cause damage. Could easily fixed while building it. They also should added water tray to catch leaks uneder plumbing and route them to grey tank to avoid floor wood damage by excessive water in my opinion. Maybe the hole was left to allow water spillages to drain.

    As a fellow Tranquility owner I'm shocked at the substandard quality of the workmanship in these vans. If I were you , I would have returned it to the dealer for a warranty claim. Like you, I have fixed several issues myself, as well as the van going to the service center three times in five months. Pretty disappointed. Great videos, very helpful., Thanks RS

      Hi Ruby, Returned last week from a five day trip up 395 above Bridgeport Ca. Actually, every system in the van worked flawlessly. Camping was off grid and enabled the van to kind of stretch its legs. Used my dual fuel generator about an hour or so every morning to replenish the lithium batteries. Even used the shower, at 190# was tight but definitely doable . Feeling better about the van than I was a few weeks ago. One negative was upon arriving home thought I would replace the water filter, only to find there was no filter in the canister . More proof of weak quality control. I think if Thor focused a bit more on that, they would really have a good product.
      Cheers RS

    Please do a video showing how you got to the screw threatening the water tank. Does the screw go into the water tank & there is a hole created by the screw? I just bought this same RV & have yet to overlook this, my deal hasn't even left the showroom floor. I'm not sure why did you needed to fill in gaps? Those clamps will not be able to be tightened or replaced if you seal the clamps. I was wondering where they loose & did they leak too? I did like your first video & awesome mods that you did. Also how secure was spare tire on? Did you put wheels locks on? What about securing your catalytic converter on the underside of the chassis?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the compliment. I was able to use a hack saw blade to cut the end of the screw off however the screw did not cause the leak I had experienced. As for the gaps, the issue was that critters could get in from the outside of the van through those gaps and the foam insulation is easy to remove if needed. The spare tire is very secure and I did not put wheel locks on as I am changing the rims to the black rhino rims. As for the catalytic converter, I have not had any issues with that. Thanks for Watching!

    Great Video...If we just bought a Tranquility 19-L I was wondering if we find repair issues like
    the screen on the entrance being completely wrong for the entrance...wouldn't Thor be responsible to replace with the right screen that you showed in your video that I watched earlier? Thank You! Michelle

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom 2 роки тому +2

      The short answer is yes Thor would be responsible for correcting any "defect" with the RV while under warranty. There are however a couple things to consider. First, Thor may not consider the screen issue a defect. Second, getting replacement parts is tough as everything seems to be on a 6-8 month back-order. Third, getting your RV into the dealership can take months as their service departments are extremely busy. Considering these, some RVers like myself find it easier to just repair thing on our own. Thanks for Watching!

    Thank you so much for this video! I have not seen any water leaks yet (except caused by myself for forgetting to use a pressure regulator when hooked up to city water) but will inspect those areas based on what you have experienced. Still, it’s a shame that you and possibly others have to go through this since it should not have happened in the first place. Thanks again!

      I do hope this video helps others and makes them aware to check out these areas. Hello. Your videos have been a Godsend since we purchased our Sanctuary two weeks ago. One question related to the water tanks. Where is the fresh water tank overflow valve? We are trying to prep our van for the first trip with onboard water and are struggling to find this valve. Any guidance would be so welcome. Thanks!

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom 2 роки тому

      Hello Tim and Jill. The water tank has a small hose attached to the top of the water tank. If the tank is overfilled, the water will run through that hose and spill out onto the ground under the RV. I believe the outlet is hard to see because it is above the grey tank but may be in a different location on your RV. Hope this helps and Thanks for Watching!

    Thanks for the informative video. Do you think the issue with the holes in the floor not being sealed was a build issue (they forgot to seal the holes) or a design issue (they never seal the holes)? Have you checked the other holes in the floor to see how well they're sealed?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom 2 роки тому

    Question: how do you like the Truma heating system? Does it use propane only? Or is there a option to use electricity or both? If there is more than one energy source, have you noticed which one is more efficient and/or faster to get the desired temperature? Thank you.

      Hello Will, The propane system powers the cooktop, the Truma system (hot water & cabin heater), and the generator. I do like the Truma systems but it would be nice to have a larger propane tank. Some RV manufacturers use the diesel tank to power the heating & hot water while using Lithium batteries to power the cooktop. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent video and I'm jealous of your skills. The more I research Class Bs the more I'm dissuaded from purchasing because of the poor QC issues I've seen. Owner videos of Travato, Coachman and now this Thor are pretty sobering. The dealer repair issues are scary and when considering my lack of tool and repair skills (apparently needed immediately), that's pretty much a deal killer for me. Is there one manufacturer that rolls them out solid and (relatively) trouble-free? Embassy?
