48 days later...... she contacted me. We had a conversation, we might meet up soon. We have been broken up for close to 3 months now. Guys, I had the nightmares. I had the panic attacks. She went from saying she wanted to get back together one day to saying she would date other guys first. I begged I pleaded... I did everything. The only thing that worked was no contact. If you dare to text your ex, i’d recommend having done a lot of work on yourself and knowing what you’re going to say. Prepare to be disappointed. You’re rolling the dice with your heart on the line.
Put yourself in their position. If you have ever dumped someone.. your either happy it’s over and slowly forget all about the person, or you see a few days/weeks later that you really miss the person. I’ve dumped girls and everytime the girl contacted me I felt bad for them and wish they would get over me. I’ve also dumped a girl and regretted it a few weeks later like hell and guess what I did? I REACHED out and got her back. I e also reached out to girls I’ve dumped 2 years ago but guess what, during that entire time I didn’t think a second about that girl.. I just wanted a easy booty call. I know it sucks but it’s the way it is. @@fooshoo2006 I totally understand your situation. I’ve been there too. I think with us guys we’re more likely to reach out to an old flame we broke up with in the past just for a booty call. Women don’t seem to do that as much in my experience. I wouldn’t give up on your ex though if she doesn’t contact you right away. I’m 38 (old, I know) and have had an ex from 9 years ago reach out to me. A girl who had a crush on me in high school 20 years ago even reached out to me on Facebook but we were too far away to hook up. Never say never👍

Last month she asked for time apart as her feelings had slowly faded over the course of the last three months. After giving it some thought, I told her the fair thing to do would be to break up. She insisted that she actually didn’t want the break up, but that she felt nothing for me (she said she truly loved me, but didn’t have feelings). She gave it some thought and agree that the best thing to do was to break up. I contacted her 5 days after our breakup for answers but the quickly gave up. Two weeks after no contact she reached out to me and I waited 6 hours to reply to her. She responded immediatly and kept the conversation going until I had to stop her. I said I had to do something and offered to get lunch the next day. She agreed. A week after this she sent me a random text, to which I replied with a short message. She didn’t reply. It’s been a week and we haven’t contacted each other in any way.
My ex is too prideful, arrogant and stubborn to even think about coming back and yet my stupid behind still loves him 😔
Since I’ve been broken up with my ex, I’ve noticed she’s putting on weight. I’ve lost 30 pounds and put on muscle in 2 months, I have also started a skin care routine, I’ve noticed her staring at me at work and I don’t know how to read it. Could this be a sign she misses me?

Me and my partner split over some petty shit and the way it ended wasn’t nasty, just a mutual understanding of incompatibility. To be fair I said some hurtful things which triggered her to “stone wall” me. This made me furious and I acted out of anger, which probably stemmed from low self esteem (overweight and bad skin)
I felt crushed to the point of wanting an affair, I know it sounds horrible. We slowly drifted apart and kind of mutually broke up. It wasn’t until after the break up and weeks of grief, I had done some research, and realised I needed to address these “insecurities” of mine.

@@vibrantnubian27 I’m sorry to hear that, I couldn’t take back a cheater so I don’t blame you. Our break up was over something petty, a poor selection of words stemming from personal insecurities. My partner was hurt and threw up her walls, giving me the silent treatment and I took the bait. I got upset and said “If you want to end this relationship then just say it” I know it’s a childish reaction. We messaged back and forth for months, then things spiralled until we broke up.
We’re both too stubborn to reach out, assuming she may have residual feelings. But I’d rather be alone then ask for her back.
But the best thing is to do me, improve in every aspect or at least the ones that count.

Me and my ex love each other. We broke up because of the pandemic, he had to move and has decided to stay there long term. We were together for nearly 4 years. I understand that his attraction dropped for me not to be worth the distance anymore.

Thank you Coach Lee! I was dumped by my boyfriend of 14years. We raised our children together. But then things began to fall apart. I thought it was just all my fault until sadly I discovered he was cheating me and then turned this love affair into a "relationship" I have not had the guts to go into no contact. But I know that is the only way I can heal and the only way to see if he will come to his senses. If not at least my kids will no longer see me cry over him. We lived and loved for 14 years and it is so hard to let go of him. But I have no choice. He made that for me.

As for me, I think I will continue moving forward with the no contact. I don’t want to give that man any more power than he already has. It’s been 11 months now and I have no desire to be the first to break no contact. Like Coach Lee said I don’t want to give him the satisfaction that I’m not over him. And I know what Coach Lee says when your at the mercy of an ex to the point where they have control of the relationship. Years ago I was in a situation like that and one reason I would not ever break no contact with an ex is because what if it has the potential to turn into that situation again. So I would rather leave it alone and move on as best I can with my life.

My ex was texting me until yesterday, sending pictures etc. Then he arrived in his vacations destiny and desappeared. Will I text him? No! He just want to have me under control cuz I'm going to travel to a better destiny and he freaked out.
3 months now and all the mistakes made; from texting to sleeping together, lesson learned: not worth it. Go no contact no matter how hard it is. Or u will have them back or u will slowly stop missing them until the point u will just forget. Being in touch just delay your progress.

I texted him last tuesday at 6:03pm. A casual text. Ya know, just asking something important it’s not really about us though. He replied casually. And we ended it simply. Hahahahaha now i regret doing that😅 How about you? Updates?
No contact when you have children together is unbelievably difficult. My ex and I have to communicate obviously and as she knows me so well, no matter how cool I play it and try to keep it professionally focused on the kids, I know she can tell that every time I see her face and hear her voice that I’m in a million pieces on the inside. I think you can physically see my heart beating as it’s about to jump out of my chest every time I see her.. and the crazy thing is that I had the same reactions to her when we were still together. I’ve never been so attracted to someone in my life and never imagined another person could have such an impact on me, and she knew that I felt that way about her. Maybe that was part of the problem looking back on things now. We had our troubles and both needed to make a lot of improvements but I would have went to my deathbed trying to get this right with her, and yet she chose to close up shop, end things between us and then replace me with someone else only days after she asked me to move out, rather than fight for me.. for us, for our family. And yeah I know this new guy was probably lingering around for a while before she decided to break it off with me. Just such a shitty thing to do to someone. I know things will get better and I won’t always hurt like I do now, but I also don’t believe there will ever be a day that I don’t think of her or not remember what we used to be.

Being in no contact is making me forget her and she doesn't seem attractive to me it is declining. Overall I don't feel jealous when I see her with other guy
The breakup was 37 days ago. No contact for 23, radio silence for 15 until today. I opened a whatsapp status by accident, so she may see the read receipt, but that's all so far. It seems like she's happier without me and intent on moving on. In a couple more days she's going to leave for a trip we planned together since the start of our relationship, alone. The amount of loss I feel every day not hearing from her is incomprehensible. The pain only goes away when I am too fatigued, too sleep deprived from her loss, that I can't think at all. These videos help a little, but I always find myself thinking "yea, but does she even care, will she even give me a chance?"
I have so many beautiful memories looping through my mind. I think she's keeping herself too busy to think about them.

I wish I saw this sooner. I messed up my no contact. I initiate contact. Became so vulnerable the way I talk to him. Now my no contact is useless. Maybe radio silence can work, i was so depressed after he dumped me but then i did radio silence for my own mental health, i know its hard but believe me if you dont watch their stories or posts youre gonna heal slow but it will work. I always looking forward to coach lee video because it is nice to have the reassurance of no contact and stay away from me hurting myself again. Even after 176 days. It is normal that there are days that I missed him, but I accept it that I need to move forward and heal as much as I could.
I messed up I went back 2 days before the 5th week. Should have waited for her to contact me I think she was close she had lost weight from not eating or sleeping much but she is stubborn. And although she was happy to see me our relationship is at a point where she acts like she don't need me I feel if I had waited I could have had her begging me and turned the tables.

Rejection breeds obsession. There is better fit for you out there, even if u can't believe it now due to your emotional state. Take you time and focus on moving on, not getting her back. I was in your shoes. Focus on your self and moving on. Trust me. More you abondone hope and less you trying and focusing on getting her back - lesser stress and misery you will put upon yourself. Rip off the band aid (which is hope of getting her back) as soon as you can and let that wound become a woumb for stronger you.
It could take few years before you meet perfect person for you. And you have to be ok with that and re-learn to enjoy your own company.
Focus on improving yourself in every way and focus on your purpose. Not to get your ex, for you. That is the best thing you can do as a man. Women gonna come naturally as by-product. Basicaly, that's the whole idea of no contact, it's not a mind trick to get your ex back.

I've been thinking about this. Haven't talked in 5 months and I'm content in NC. However, I've been working on a lot of things in therapy, and would like to tell her how her behavior has effected me. Basically, manipulation and emotional abuse. She'd probably perceive it as an attack, but I'm just talking about stating facts. Im totally not trying to get her back either. Just so I don't have to carry this around anymore. I just want to forgive and move on
Personally, I wouldn’t do that. First, there’s a chance she doesn’t care which will affect you probably even if you think it won’t. And you’re in therapy trying to heal - not wound reopening. Second, it’s giving them satisfaction that they had that much of an effect on you. But, it’s up to you. :)
Wow! Your comment is exactly how I feel. Sometimes I want to tell her all the emotional damage she caused to me for months. Then I think again and at the end of they day she will not care and probably reject me or not answer and that will probably affect me and hurt me more. you know it’s funny, I don’t know if anybody else feels this way! I typed out a message this evening on my notes app, I found it helped to get my words out.
It’s mainly an apology for my reaction in the first two weeks. It will be a month since the break up on the 8th of June. Currently on 10 days NC, my last message was a clean slate message but it didn’t really say much beyond I’ve recognised I was out of line and respect her decision, stopped short of saying sorry and I feel like I should have been more sincere.
Toyed with the idea of adding an apology for the mistake I made which lead to the break up and saying this isn’t what I want for us. As I say I won’t be sending the message

Coach this helped out a lot. Would you be able to do a video of long distance relationships even though he still loves me and broke up for the distance and covid because of the pain? We broke up two weeks ago. He has reached out to me a couple of times since the break up to know how I am and to tell me he loves me and misses me and I thought perhaps I could reach out to him but sadly he now thinks it's best we don't speak as we have broken up and are just causing each other more pain. I am very lost and not sure what to do as he himself reached out after he broke up and I feel like I slightly broke the no contact rule by contacting him as well thinking it would be acceptable as he did it to me.

It’s been over 2 and half months of break up and NC, but today I feel really weak and almost texted her. I wrote the message but didn’t send it. I keep looking at WhatsApp to see when she online and after a while I feel like an idiot. I keep deleting her phone number from my phone so I don’t Have the temptation to text her. But why I should text to my ex? I think that in most cases we don't have to tell them anything. I wouldn't recomend that, in my opinion, If she/he made the decision of the break up and you tried everything before.
So what happens when he text you and you say don’t ignore him. Because my ex has this pattern of just randomly texting me like hey just checking on you. But it never really goes further then that. Ive initiating seeing him and it went great but he’ll Go a couple of days text me and then it’s just a vicious cycle. This is realy hard , but i do think i am ready to go no contact , the textung goes mostly one way , but when i stop she kind of gets back in contact afther a day or two .. i realy need to take controle of my emotions. My ex and I, unfortunately, broke up a week ago due to her travelling to Spain for 6 months in February 2021, she is going with a friend who studies the same course as her at university. Their course which includes a year abroad (in Spain) got cancelled due to the pandemic but she decided she will go to Spain anyway (We both live in the UK). She thought the relationship couldn’t work because we don’t see each other much anyway as I have graduated and we live quite far away from each other, 2 hours, so to see each other even less she said would be too much for her. Can I assume that no contact would not work because she will be in Spain with her mate having the time of her life, meeting new people and creating amazing memories? I really need some help on this, I am very upset, we are still communicating but I think I might stop this soon. We got on so well and we still do! We said that we just met at the wrong time. It will certainly be a tough few months for me, it will be great if she does come back but I don't really want to wait 6 months for that possibility. The future is by definition unknowable and all I can do is create a great platform for us to reconnect if we both want to, whatever happens will happen :) Yes, I just stumbled upon his videos today and have watched a lot already, he provides a cool level head which is helping me see things from different perspectives.

@Jason lol I’m a sista 😂 but that’s ok. Yes, I did reach out to my ex about a month after the breakup and I got a mouthful of abuse. It just made things worse. I shouldn’t have bothered because it didn’t help my case, if anything it probably sealed my fate.
It’s been over a year since I broke up with my ex and so this post is pretty old but my advice is the same, don’t contact them. No matter how much you want to. You’re better off walking away like you don’t care and letting them rethink it and if there’s any hope at all, they’ll come to you. That’s just how it has to be my friend. Hugs to ya 😊

Going through a break up now. At night it’s always the hardest, after crying I just pull some videos of Coach Lee and listen to calm and reassure during no contact when all I want is to reach out.
I’ve listened to his videos on my way to work, and sometimes during my lunch (when I find myself almost about to cry at work). It’s helping me just get through each day.

Update! Listening to Coach Lee’s videos before work and before bed has helped me a ALOT. It’s officially been 4 weeks since break up and found out ex is on Tinder already looking for rebounds. Not sure if I want him back now if he can easily move on to the next, but I am a little stronger now. I’m focusing on me. Like Coach Lee says, THEY walked away from you. Give them the breakup. You’ll be stronger and although he hasn’t reached out, he will feel the loss even more I stay in NC. If he tries to come back, I’ll hopefully know how to respond.

No Contact works like a charm. But if you’ve waited 3-4 months, move on with your life. You’ve won.

If I didn’t hear back from my ex after 3-4 months of no contact then I still wouldn’t reach out. It might set me back. If they don’t come back, keep moving forward. If someone is dumb enough to let you go, be smart enough to let them.
