The only person with attitude in this video was the white lady customer making faces checking her watch constantly thinking she's above/superior to the cashier "in my opinion" let the cashier lady do her job she did nothing wrong!
cowboyz 4life That's funny, because the cashier's attitude communicates that she thinks she is above the customer, the job and the company. It's as if she is expecting a thank you just for showing up to work.
I thought the customer was pretty nice, she just looked at her watch, she didn't make any snippy comments or anything.. the cashier was looking away from her, anyway.
Bull. Her attitude was what was wrong. And plus she lied about the return policy. You can't just return whenever you want. You have a certain time limit. Plus at the end when she went to break was uncalled for. If it's your break time, you wait for someone to take over for you. If it's your break time and it takes a long time, you call over a manager. I do this all the time. If I don't know the information, I'll offer to call a manager over. If the customer wants me to, I'll call them over so they can get the right information. Yes, not every customer in the right, but this one cashier out of probably a hundred will probably not last in her job if this was real and not acting.
She was already wearing the vest and name tag when she pulled up. Could have just taken her place then and let her go to break instead of getting in a huff.
I'd walk off to my break too! Lol. Managers don't care if you've been standing in the same spot for 4 hours with no break. This is comedic gold to people who really know how things work at these stores.
+FastZebra Zoom At our Goodwill we do not just stand at our register. When there are no customers at the registers we are usually taking care of clothing or picking up after customers that drop things on the floor and don't bother picking it up. We also have to check the fitting rooms and clean those out and take care of the clothes that people didn't want and also take care of the items behind the register that people didn't want and also take care of returns. We cannot just go take our break whenever we feel like it. We have to make sure there is one other person on the sales floor before we take our breaks
+kubotaman85 Well if you noticed, there were people in line in this video. And that's the problem because you're forgetting that things get busy and clerks need their breaks because there will be a lot of standing. Managers don't care to relieve them in two hour increments (like they're supposed to) because all they care about is having a warm body standing there to push the buttons. it's the manager's job to make sure breaks happen on time and it's their job to juggle it and make it happen. Too many times managers just drop the ball and only send people on break when it's convenient for the store and that's wrong. And it's cruel. They call it a "break" for a reason. People need them.
+kubotaman85 No I don't. You're implying that a worker has free time to tend to other things in the store when there are no customers in line. Correct? In this video there is no such scenario. Correct? Now re-read what I wrote and it will make sense. This video does not address, but should address, what happens to a clerk when the line is long. That's why it's so funny and I admire the girl for just walking off and taking her break. Because in reality the managers don't care that clerks stand on their feet waaaay past their proper break time.
Most customers think they are better than you when working in customer service you can be the nicest person ever and they will still fuck up the entire day for a cashier as a cashier if a customer gets loud with me I always get one of my managers before the can get to "let me get the manager"I do it first it pisses them off more(:

I never go to break until I am finished with who is in my line.I always ask my managers if I can shut my light and go after I finish up with those who've been waiting.
What I meant was, if I'm in the middle of ringing someone up, as in the middle of a transaction, I'm not gonna just stop and go to break.I'm not a minor, so no, I don't need to take my breaks when it is due.My store is usually good at giving breaks, but if someone is running late, I have to wait until they come, doesn't really bother me, I personally don't need a break on a 4 hr shift anyways.
***** I think it is not right to not take break in 4 hour shift. You need to go for drink and eat or just pause for 10 min to catch up. I can go without break for 8 hours work but, I think it is not right. So what you do is your choice I can't tell you what to do. I just posted what I think is right.
No, if it's time for your break, and you notice a little old lady inching towards your till with an overflowing trolley - sure, your manager's gonna bark at you to give up your break and sort that rubbish out - but what you do, is say "With respect, madam, I've been stood in this one place for four hours, and I'll be damned if I'm standing here another minute. My manager will happily come down from his high horse and serve you, as he's only smoking cigars and laughing at his lowly staff over CCTV anyway."

If the phone rings while you're busy, ignore it, or if you have to answer it, just say "Hi, let me call you back, I'm with a customer right now." If the customer is paying with a card they need to sign for, check the signatures match. If you're not sure they do, call a supervisor and explain to the customer what is happening. Smile and say "Bye now" as the customer leaves. Wait till one customer is clear before beginning to serve the next person in line. If somebody you suspect may be underage tries to buy alcohol, ask them for ID. If they cannot provide it, then refuse the sale. If they become belligerent, then call for the supervisor or security. ( Remember, it is you who could get into trouble for serving somebody who us underage. ).
Why is no one mentioning the elephant 🐘 in the room? 🙄 Did she pay with a 'check'!? Dear lord, I have read in history books that people used them over a century ago, but in the 21st century? How old is that video or what backward country is that? Somewhere in Africa? Or are these government stamps? I am not trying to judge/insult, I am just extreme curious.
Why doesn't the second cashier who supposedly "exceeded expectation" don't even have eye contact with the customer when she talks to her and she's not even smiling and saying goodbye properly...that is not very good customer service at all.
Lol if you never worked at cashiers before you probably won't understand the stress they have. There are usually limited numbers of cashiers but with long line ups, and of course no one would come and help even after you page for help six times. Managements don't support the staff even if people are obviously trying to rip off the stores. I know there are lazy cashiers and they're those who haven been there long and know how to avoid getting fired. But those who work hard don't get paid enough.
I like receiving better because you are in the back and it's all calm. You don't have to deal with assholes all day! Just Vendors. The pay is just as good!
if you look closely at the second woman in line she is wearing a goodwill vest but later it is missing she is the cashier in the second part of the video
The first scenario when the customer was so upset was becasue her bill was a hundred dollars more for the exact same shit as the second scenario for $38 😂 also she’s the one asking the dumb questions and writing out checks taking more time for the cashier to do her job, but impatient when it takes more than a minute! Get a debit card, read your receipt about the return policy, just because you’re a customer doesn’t mean you have to be so rude to the cashier!
My second boss will love first customer service person because all workers he love to roster with are his relatives and friends. Whoever works hard , but whoever is not his friend, he hate and use lots of body language to bully.
First she don't greet the costume when she start cashing when the customer ask her if the shoes can't fit if she can return it then the casher sa you can return it any time the custom want she should of say to the customer keep the resete safe and bring it back before fourteen days and tell her be safe thank for shopping have a good day the last lady did it well customer was wating in the line she should of finished cashed them as well I can cash good but I don't like it I rather pack the grocery and go out side and get my tip I socialized with the customer more
She was reading a book instead of stepping out of the register to find something to do , she didn’t greet the customer, harsh response when the customer asked a question. Didn’t say sorry I. Have to take this call and then pages and slams the phone , which can be heard over the intercom. She didn’t even thank the customer for shopping . That’s why the customer snatches the recipes from the cashier for bad service 🤣😂🤣
OMG the second cashier when you offer your kindness to the customers they will give you same kindness and it's good to know and tell the customers about the promotions in the store thts is running
message to customer: if you don't like the service 1 go to the self checkout 2 go to another store 3 shop online also use credit cards and not cheques!!!!
I would like to work at Goodwill. They don't sell alcohol or cigarettes which are the one and two main reasons cashiers get arrested on the job. They pay less but aren't as held criminally liable by police.
Managers have to be reminded of break and lunches. They gave everyone else their lunch while I got there first and was literally with so much lines that I didn’t even have time to tell them until I saw everyone else go except me… like y’all need to make sure everyone is going in order. And ask everyone not just one person cuz that person might assume someone went but didn’t even ask them. The managers accused me of going when I went to the bathroom and that’s why they didn’t give it to me.
Does anyone know Bzneref Chi Bonkia? Well recently he was a cashier at Walmart and one customer asked him if they had sex toys. So all he just showed him was where the pube removal and extra large expensive condom section was. What a cool cashier fucking beast
That looks more like a dollar store. Also I hate how the customer keeps looking at her watch. I'm a cashier and I'm not very good at conversing with customers but I always make sure I smile and ask how they are. I also always ask if they'd like something and not just assume.

If somebody you suspect may be underage tries to buy alcohol, ask them for ID. If they cannot provide it, then refuse the sale. If they become belligerent, then call for the supervisor or security. ( Remember, it is you who could get into trouble for serving somebody who us underage. ).
Yes but chatting holds up customers very often. I do not believe most people want to chat. Being polite is just fine.
Kurt Cummins definitely. I often have to wait while the cashier chitchat nonstop with the customer before me.
Staff attitude and how company treat staff are equally important.
lol "break time for me bye"
This is an insanely high quality video for 2009
It wasn't the 1950s,zoomer
@@Brandon-lw1wx When's the last time you held a job?
@@BlakeGM What kind of question us that, Zoomer?
Lady hosting looks like she got her outfit right off the rack!
What does that got to do with anything.
The second scene is how every cashier should act. That’s not exceeding expectations. 🙄
She doesn’t make conversation with costumers and she eats while assisting costumers 😂😂😂😂
My first job was at good will and I always give very cheap almost 25 cents when my costumer looks really poor 😥
That's a lie, no goodwill store is that NEAT & quiet!
Jesus Loves you.
I like receiving better because you are in the back and it's all calm. You don't have to deal with assholes all day! Just Vendors. The pay is just as good!
Tag yourself I'm the first cashier
instead of doing all that goodwill shopping do something with your raggy hair
Maybe she likes her hair.
if you look closely at the second woman in line she is wearing a goodwill vest but later it is missing she is the cashier in the second part of the video
greating a costomer is very important
Of course the "below expectations" cashier is chinese.
Ya right , they purposely put a chinese lady there to be races. Shure lol
Goodwill is a great store for savings except the one on Shiloh and beltline in Garland Texas terrible people work there .
False advertisement!!! They dont sell chips at goodwill
wow this is old, did she write a check
I swear when the Asian chick picks up the phone she says “Hello Google”
Yia Xiong really needs to work on her editing skills. I saw the same football sitting out on the counter after it was bagged.
Saturday, I’m really busy Gabriel but now I’m gonna have to go shower now, but you can make me on Sunday to go to the park
Saturday, I’m really busy Gabriel but now I’m gonna have to go shower now, but you can make me on Sunday to go to the park
3:00 Looks like a typical Goodwill experience to me.
nigga goodwill dont sell chips
OMG the second cashier when you offer your kindness to the customers they will give you same kindness and it's good to know and tell the customers about the promotions in the store thts is running
I’m 😂 at the first cashier she say yall gotta wait for somebody else. I’m going on break.
She only wrote out a cheque because of the cashiers bad attitude, otherwise she’d have paid cash or card
i believe in the second demostration, the cashier shouldve asked if the costumer needed help
message to customer: if you don't like the service 1 go to the self checkout 2 go to another store 3 shop online also use credit cards and not cheques!!!!
Is this a real Goodwill? The store sells food and it seems the products are new not donated.
can you tell me the name of the software they're using
The costumer became a better cashier lol
This is helpful though
That 140 you spent at goodwill you could have went to salon
I would like to work at Goodwill. They don't sell alcohol or cigarettes which are the one and two main reasons cashiers get arrested on the job. They pay less but aren't as held criminally liable by police.
Nothing I can see anything how to use casheir machine
I got a job at iga and go for training at iga I idk what the fuck I’m doing
I work as a cashier in a supermarket. When I have a break, I either have to send customers to another register, or have someone come take over.
She didn't scan the green sweater @ 1:21
Fail
How in the world did I end up at this video?!
