- Etihad Airways' flight safety video provides travelers with safety information in both English and Arabic. The video includes a travel prayer from the Holy Qur'an and explains each safety procedure on board. It's played at the start of each Etihad Airways flight before take-off and includes details surrounding seat belts, oxygen masks, emergency exits, life jackets, and in the safety card. In addition, it highlights rules regarding smoking, hand luggage, mobile phones and electronic devices.

Hello I went with Etihad about a week ago From Abu Dhabi to Manchester and I also made a trip report and quite a brilliant flight I'd say apart from the landing the landing wasn't the best
flown with you alot on the Manchester Abu Dhabi which is now the 8th most popular route by Etihad Airways with one of the highest average passenger loads so you will always be with us thanks for the support.

Flying to Australia soon and as it’s a long flight just wondering is there on board WiFi on the a380 and do you have to pay for the wifi
we are planning to travel to Australia with you from Dublin but have never been on a long haul flights and are a little nervous, we will be flying economy can we walk around on the flight or do you have to remain seated

Even if you are a frequent traveller
Please watch and listen carefully
as we demonstrate the safety features of this aircraft
Your seatbelt must be fastened whenever the fasten seatbelt sign is illuminated
Your seatbelt is fastened like this
to adjust pull the strap
To unfasten lift the metal flap and pull the belt apart
in the unlikely event that emergency is required in flight,
masks will drop down from the panel above you
quickly fasten your seatbelt
and pull the mask firmly towards you to start the flow of oxygen
Place the mask over your nose and mouth and breathe normally
Place the elastic band over your head
and adjust the mask by pulling on the straps
Fit your own mask first before assisting others
There are 8 emergency exits on this aircraft which are clearly marked
Please keep in mind your nearest emergency exit which may be behind you
In the event of an emergency
the path to the exits will be illuminated at floor level
Instructions on how to open the exits can be found on the exits
A life jacket is located under your seat in business and economy class
or inside your leg rest in first class
When instructed by the crew to use it
remove the lifejacket from its container
take it out of its cover
and place it over your head
fasten the life jacket around your waist like this
and tighten it like this
your lifejacket should only be inflated as you leave the aircraft door
inflate it by pulling firmly like this
or by blowing into the mouthpiece
there is a light which comes on automatically when in contact with water
pull the yellow tab to put the light in standby mode
Lifejackets and cots will also be provided for babies
The safety instructions card located in your seat pocket details important safety information
please take a moment to read it before takeoff
we would like to remind you that all Etihad flights are non smoking
smoking is prohibited in all areas of the aircraft
including the toilets
which are fitted with smoke detectors
tampering with a smoke detector or non adherence to these directions is a criminal offence under national law and international civil aviation regulations
all carry on items must be secured in the overhead stowage
or under the seat infant of you
Mobile phones must remain switched off throughout the flight
electronic devices such as laptop computers, cd and mp3 players
must be switched and may be used
once the fasten seatbelt signs have been switched off
In preparation for takeoff please ensure that your seatbelt is securely fastened
your seatback is in the upright position
your handset, footrest and tray table folded away
and all window blinds raised
Your cabin crew will now pass through the cabin to carry out a final check
