More of a plastic than paper iirc
These videos are already cool, but I have this model and it is very difficult to pose without bits falling off. This must have been more of a pain to make than other kits, so this is even more awesome.

Just finished watching Thunderbolt and kinda wish it were an hour long mini series but the fights were intense and satisfying. Hopefully you get to build the MG Psycho Zaku to rival this Gundam.

I can say from owning multiple Ver. Kas (Wing Zero, Victory 2, Sazabi, Tallgeese), the FA Gundam's vinyl joint wraps are exclusive to that unit.
They’re exclusive to the thunderbolt designs, and they really aren’t that bad

Long time ago I got Fighter Macross fighter in metallic. This Gundam in metallic wight would be special.
Glad you were able tp pull it off. Those things were a tad, good thing bandai actually gave more than what the builder actually need.

Can i ask why on this kits are used those black plastic paper pieces?
I've saw them on the NT 1 (Alex) Gundam video too
Not sure about the Alex Gundam but the pieces you’re talking about are vinyl wraps to cover the joints of the full armour gundam.
The in-universe reason for them is to keep debris out the mobile suits’ joints as it was intended specifically to operate within a shoal zone in Side 4.

I actually had to buy another one because my old one had broken shoulders on both arms. Its actually quite annoying since now I dont know what to do with the other parts I have.

The wraps come with the kit. It’s part of full armour gundams design.

Are the vinyl a necessary part of this kit? Its on my to buy list but those just scared me a bit.
not necessary, just there to replicate the in-universe soft joint covers that are prevalent through the designs in Gundam Thunderbolt

@@Tahu33446 Haven't built the kit myself so this is not from personal experience, but as far as I can tell they're not structurally important at all, so you could totally build the kit without them.
