Have you thought about using a collapsible funnel and a coffee filter paper to get your water filtered. Because the funnel folds flat it wouldn't take up much room in your pack. A great view and I look forward to your next trip out.
Joe, maybe you and your brothers will come to the US some day. We have many national parks but one that I think is special, Isle Royale National Park in the middle of Lake Superior. I think you and your brothers would really enjoy it.
the underwear filter was a good idea but you created a flat top for the water to spill- do it again next time but push the underwear or whatever you use into the bottle creating a pocket to pour the water into the bottle- but thank you for the video! been waiting - you mentioned the other fellas having channels...any way we can get their channels in your next video? thanks again for the camping escape from the states
Another great video! I've recently discovered an Australian site called Scotty's Gone Walkabout; he uses a ferro rod and a steel knife to strike a spark and build a fire. That avoids the risk of matches getting damp or running out. You do need to have some dry tinder in a watertight container though, to catch the spark. Just an idea. Also I think that your water was discoloured from the peat; once boiled it should be safe to drink.
Be careful PDNP don't allow camp fires anywhere in national park 🔥 esp in that location as its a notorious rogue wild campers who unfortunately do leave their trace
The cold plunge bathing was my favorite part too.
You're fantastic, Joe! I'd go camping anywhere with you!

Drying your feet at the fire was cute lol
