I remember stumbling upon this song as a teenager in foster care. I was going through such a difficult time. Feeling like I wasnt important enough for my parents to get their shit together and do what they needed to in order to bring me and my siblings home. I had a lot of people in my ear telling me not to get my Hope's up and to accept it. I listened to this song over and over crying, wanting to be my parents one and only, wanted them to see that we were worth fighting for. I love how songs have the ability to speak different stories to people for different reasons. One of her best songs in my opinion!

I cannot really relate too much to love songs since I haven't been in love, and I usually think people are overdramatic, but when I put myself in your shoes while listening to the song, I immediately started crying. Sure Rolling in the Deep, Hello and Someone Like You are amazing, but you miss so many hidden gems like this, along with Take it All, Don't You Remember, Right as Rain, Turning Tables and I'll Be Waiting when you don't buy the full album. 19, 21 and 25 are all classic albums that should be enjoyed in full and not taken apart one song here and there.

This song makes me feel so much emotion because of my "uncle" he was a close friend of my moms and like a brother to her. He was in a physically abusive relationship out of state, and would run away and live with us when things got bad. When he would finally cave and go back to the relationship, he would usually leave at night, because he didn't want to have to say goodbye. So he would be gone in the morning. This happened a few times. He'd show up, then he'd leave. I always missed him when he was gone. It got to the point that I would cry when he would be back in town, because I missed him, and I knew he would have to leave again. Each time he left, he would leave a hat. He knew that I would keep them, one day i fell asleep in the livingroom and woke up at about 2am to him leaving. He looked at me surprised, since I had woken up, and he didnt say a word. He just hugged me tight for what felt like forever, then he left. The last time I saw him was probably 8 years ago? Before he left, we sang this together. It will always make me think of him. I hope that whatever he is, he's doing well and getting the love that he deserves.

This song makes me feel so much emotion because of my "uncle" he was a close friend of my moms and like a brother to her. He was in a physically abusive relationship out of state, and would run away and live with us when things got bad. When he would finally cave and go back to the relationship, he would usually leave at night, because he didn't want to have to say goodbye. So he would be gone in the morning. This happened a few times. He'd show up, then he'd leave. I always missed him when he was gone. It got to the point that I would cry when he would be back in town, because I missed him, and I knew he would have to leave again. Each time he left, he would leave a hat. He knew that I would keep them, one day i fell asleep in the livingroom and woke up at about 2am to him leaving. He looked at me surprised, since I had woken up, and he didnt say a word. He just hugged me tight for what felt like forever, then he left. The last time I saw him was probably 8 years ago? Before he left, we sang this together. It will always make me think of him. I hope that whatever he is, he's doing well and getting the love that he deserves.

My ex sang this for me when we were freshly together. I was already in love with her at that point, I fell even more in love with her as I watched her sing with such beautiful emotion. It was a highlight of our short relationship. She was always beautiful, but when she sang, she was so free, and so at peace. I felt so betrayed. She could have told me to my face 30 minutes before. Why hide behind the phone and break my heart? I'll always have some love for her in my heart. She'll always own a part of my heart. And as beautiful as this song is, it is so painful to listen to now. But I still have the video, where her best friend recorded me looking at her singing, awestruck, and so in love with her in that moment. I hope you're still OK, Lily. Some days I miss you and want you back, but hopefully you found better. And hopefully one day I will find someone that will love me.
