Thus, they became entertainers and not wrestlers. Jhara had good potential but due to lack of support had to fight fake bouts to make money. I did watched this wrestling in tv when i was just 12 years now i m 62 years.what a thirling context it was.what a power had jhara that once he slapped anoki and was down on ground just like kid. There was a match between mucle power of jhara AND experience of Anoki. My God breath taking context and at the end experience man recognized the power of jhara. Someone who defeated bob backlund the world champion wrestler, has to be the mightiest wrestler of the world and that genius was inoki. Inoki is even a greater human being. Respect is not demanded it is earned. I feel happy in praising him. Inoki defeated zubairs uncle Akram. He offered the family his help to teach them the art of modern wrestling.
World will never see a wrestler like Zubair Jhara, he was king of the kings. I remember his fight against Bili, Zubair just wrenched him in his arms and just threw him on the ground, Bili was having nothing in him.
My father always loved watching Gama wrestle. This family of Butts of Kashmir Valley have extraordinary talent in wrestling. Gama was a genuine wrestler and one of the best ever. Jhara had great potential but sadly lacked support and not even the Pakistani government supported him otherwise he had the potential to be genuine world class wrestler. He like all later Gama family members evolved into Noora Pehalwans to survive. Thus neither Jhara nor his friend Inoki are known as genuine wrestlers but Noora ones. Do not blame Jhara he needed money for his family to survive. Similar is the case of Dara Singh who had good potential but became a Noora wrestler. Gama was a genuine wrestler but was fortunate to get support from Indian rulers. This bout is not wrestling but Noora Kusti.
Being Pakistani and Muslim, Zubair was supposed to take lead on same moral ground but unfortunately he did not. In fact Anoki won due to high moral ground but not by power.

Pakistan was ahead of its time in Asia in so many things, to name a few; for instance in 1962 Pakistan launched Rehbar-1 became the third country in Asia, first country in South Asia, and the tenth in the world to launch a rocket vessel into outer space. We introduced classic rock music in the subcontinent etc, In sports we earned world trophies in four different games; squash, cricket , hockey and snooker. We were the first country in the subcontinent to begin color transmission as well. So our past is indeed glorious which we must be proud of.

He went into the ring with the greatest known athlete Muhammad Ali for a fight too. Jhara is not much known locally even. If he was that good he should have challenged world wrestlers at the top spot.

Someone who defeated bob backlund the world champion wrestler, has to be the mightiest wrestler of the world and that genius was inoki. Inoki is even a greater human being. Respect is not demanded it is earned. I feel happy in praising him. Inoki defeated zubairs uncle Akram. He offered the family his help to teach them the art of modern wrestling.

My father always loved watching Gama wrestle. This family of Butts of Kashmir Valley have extraordinary talent in wrestling. Gama was a genuine wrestler and one of the best ever. Jhara had great potential but sadly lacked support and not even the Pakistani government supported him otherwise he had the potential to be genuine world class wrestler. He like all later Gama family members evolved into Noora Pehalwans to survive. Thus neither Jhara nor his friend Inoki are known as genuine wrestlers but Noora ones. Do not blame Jhara he needed money for his family to survive. Similar is the case of Dara Singh who had good potential but became a Noora wrestler. Gama was a genuine wrestler but was fortunate to get support from Indian rulers. This bout is not wrestling but Noora Kusti.
Being Pakistani and Muslim, Zubair was supposed to take lead on same moral ground but unfortunately he did not. In fact Anoki won due to high moral ground but not by power.

Zubair was 17 at the time. Anoki is great man who became Muslim...a better human being. Competition was ended without any decision but anoki gave credit to Zubair.
