Hi, smooth on crew. I love your work and videos. I have a question if you don't mind answering: how do you calculate the shrinkage of gfrc table top? I have cast a dfrc table top and it shrunk 2mm from total of 1612mm length. I have a project were I am about to cast kitchen island tabletop with legs and thickness is about 40mm, and length- 2000mm. How woould you estimate? Thank you
Hello, Thank you for your interest in our products and videos. However, as a customer support agent, I'm unable to provide specific advice on calculating shrinkage for a GFRC tabletop. I would recommend reaching out to our technical support team for more detailed assistance. They can be contacted through the Smooth-On Technical Service Department page: www.smooth-on.com/support/. I don't think that durability is not only related to strength as you showed on the last part of the video! Mainly resistance to freeze and thaw, abrasion, carbonation, staining etc ... constitutes durability. Anything related to aging of the concrete!
Hi there! This is a good question for our tech support team, can you send them a ticket here? www.smooth-on.com/support/ticket/add/agree/ Thanks for watching!
Hi, from Argentina! I do love al your job and techniques. What I really want to know, is the correct combination between air pressure, air flow and air nozzle size (I have three, 4, 6 and 8 milimeters, in order to obtain the finest concrete face coat finish. Here in Argentina we don’t have enough information about almost anything. Thank you in advance from a big fan of you in Argentina! Gonzalo Molina
Amazing work and content guys! With regards to pouring a cast on a hot day how much ice per total water amount is needed to help keep the mix cool and pliable?
Great video! I'm about to build my own concrete kitchen top, but I'd like it to be thin. What's the minimum thickness I could use? 3/4 inch could be ok? It would lay on all the cabinets, so I guess It won't get much stressed. Or maybe could I reinforce it with steel, or even lay the slab on plywood? Thanks for helping!

Is the measurement of "Parts" done by volume or weight? For example 100 parts cement, 85 parts sane Silica sand, is it weight or volume that determines the measurement?

Great vid. How will you repair or change the air lines and electrical if you need to? Shelves are glued on, might be hard to service.
The top shelf has access points which can be removed. Thank you for watching!
what is diameter/size of spray ?
Is the measurement of "Parts" done by volume or weight? For example 100 parts cement, 85 parts sane Silica sand, is it weight or volume that determines the measurement?
"parts" refers to proportions so it doesn't matter if it's by weight or volume. Works both ways.
Hope you have tables by now
Can this be done on a strong table or does it have to be done on a floor?
If the table can hold the weight of the mold and casting, yes.
great video!
What adhesive did you use?
A silicone construction adhesive was used.
شكرا جزيلا / ابدعت
