This is hands down, the best powerboat video in existence! Awesome piloting and videography. The swell in the shallow Miami ocean & the resulting jumps, the cocaine crazed pilots driving this beast without vests or helmets, the noise of those motors at full throttle pinned on redline through the heads is just awesome, every part is just awesome. I have no other words.... Thank you for the upload and please never delete this video
Who are these guys? Is the Razz the boat or one of these guys? I literally got that rising tickle in my stomach when I watched this. I've never seen insane pleasure boating like this before... ever. This is definately not your father's Oldsmobile.
Hi guysThat is me on the right Ricky Racer and that was on New Year’s Day 1990 I have the original video...The motors were 588 tunnel Rams built by Pete Vankirk at Offshore engines
Rick Racer I was ten years old during this race. You guys got serious air numerous times. Kick ass job rick you guys killed the competition. Hell what competition haha. You’re a lucky guy I would love to be on one of those boats. I could only imagine the rush had to be incredible. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Rick, thanks for the motor info. I always wondered what you guys were running. And i'm genuinely jealous ! 588 Tunnel Rams......The music of my people!
What are you doing these days? I've always LOVED the look of Apaches. When I was younger, we had a 30' Superboat. It's a business in Lindenhurst, Long Island. I LOVED that boat! But u could only dream of a huge Apache!
One of my favorite videos on youtube, love the raw sound of those engines. Nothing on youtube captures the essence of offshore this well... mercs roaring in a 41' apache thru 8 footers with balls of steel... it really doesn't get better than that!
For me, this is the best video of a Powerboat, not only Apache, if not the whole powerboats. You can find everything, crazy sound, speed, jumps, and sometimes you can see the man with the white shirt, pushing more and more. I LOVE THIS VIDEO.
For me, '41 Apache's were the best deep-v offshore racers ever. This is a great video that really captures how the '41 was a wave crushing, solid tracking monster. GREAT engine sound captured here too. The air she catches around 7:00 and for the next several seconds is unreal.
@@garlandremingtoniii1338 On some of the higher jumps where she gets several feet of air it scares me she might have gotten some hull cracks, but I hope that didn't happen. Serious impact on the drop.
Wow what an amazing machine. This boat handles the rough water better than any I have ever seen. Great driving to launch so high off the waves and land without missing a beat.
If I had the keys to a time machine I would go back and be a passenger on this run. Then hit rewind on the time machine like 40 more times lol. Absolutely incredible balls to drive a boat like that. I cant help but smile the whole time I'm watching this.
Poetry in motion. I've always loved listening to throttlemen working both their magic and talent. Hearing the engines sing in this video, coming off the throttles and back on as the boat flies over waves on their way to crashing into shore is simply amazing to me. TYVM for sharing this awesome ride in the boat. Only thing better would be occupying that 3rd bolster!
Brendan Perry not in waves like in this video. Nothin faster in rough water than Apache. That boat will do 30-40+ mph faster in those seas than anything cigarette can bring to the table
Just glorious, apart from the great visual demo', the harmony of those engines when she cut inland and trimmed up was a symphony of steel and fuel. Tip top.
About 10:20. Did they pass through the inlet wide open throttle!?!.. Not sure about the thoughts behind that, but it must have been a sight so se that´s for sure.
Old cinematography just makes this so badass. Not sure it’s because if I’m 41 and remember the progression of video. If this was in HD I’m not sure it would be as cool! Freaking Rad! 😂
@yvesbelanger @rickracer: Is there any more video of this boat? Or any further info about the boat's history? I would love to know more. This video is in heavy rotation around here!
The only other video that gets the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up in excitement is the video of ben Kramer and the boys in their Apache warpath just hammering down in rough seas at 90+mph. these 2 videos show you what real offshore racing is about!
And holy hell when they got into the inlet and let that bad bitch eat was a thing of greatness. I put it on the surround sound Bose system at 2:00a.m. and had some scotch and enjoyed my quiet time lol
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Apache I had a 22 Apache it was a blast I think the helicopter pilot could’ve done a little bit more to help the cameraman out though he kind of seemed all over the place I watched a lot of Apache race in the 80s and 90s and OPT and APBA the INXS 47 Apache with triples was awesome The drives had names, Moe, Larry, and Curly.
Rick I'd like to take a copy and have it digitized and cleaned up both audio and video. This footage deserves to be preserved. Please contact me so we can work something out.
I seem to recall reading one of the comments on the original Razz video [the one that was taken down] that Yves wife rented a helicopter and did the filming herself....
I just want one drive. Before I die. Holy crap, that air is insane. And he keeps pushing it. Btw this is what I determined as a kid a long time ago as to get the most air on a jet ski. Around 35 degrees parallel
I bet he is exhausted when he gets back to the dock .. handles that beast like a boss .. when in doubt Gas It is his life’s mission statement.. probably needs a few gallons of jet fuel… wow what a show !! Thank you .. oh and my 91 Baja 320 w twin 502 Mags just realized that’s how the real cool kids get down on a Saturday afternoon .. Content in Colorado .. Cheers !!

THIS is the Best offshore video I have ever seen and heard !!! I watch this at least twice a week, brave men, fast boats.
Apache that looks like a pint of Rainbow Sherbet and the engine sound of a demon on methamphetamine. Beautiful.

Believe Razz is a 47', had triple NA engines.
@@pawtasticdadof532 41' Dual Engines
They really were! Not a boat in the world could hang with them in rough seas!
Ive watched this video at least 30 times.
Fourteen minutes of pure art in motion
When men were MEN . In dress shirts , gold rim sun glasses ,gold rolex . 105 mph "cruise" off the coast during lunch break. 👌🇺🇸
Those were the days!! Balls of steel.
Back when most adult men didn't wear shorts. Slacks, khakis and jeans. My grandfather even called them short pants.
@@BeardMan01all those types of clothing is what they actually did wear but I see what your saying
11:00 my favorite he lays right into tht monster you can hear the fuel gauge falling lol,my favorite go fast boat vid on UA-cam period!
My god that thing is a beast!
I want to know the speed.. fuckin crankinnnn
It smoothed out enough to finally trim her out and let her eat.
Hello Yves, Thanks for posting the uncut footage. The sound of the engines is unreal. Sheesh

There will never.....ever......be a better exibition of the absolute mastery of the controls than this video. This is an absolute treasure.
That was fucking EPIC. Easily one of my favourite videos ever! Thank you!!
This video is Pure Gold, a hidden jewel . The best ad for Apache 🤤🤤👍👍👍. Crushing those waves like there is no tomorrow, this Apache takes no prisoners
I cannot stop watching this. That is 100% beast mode. Awesome, in the true sense of the word.
I want an Apache,I want to do this once in my life
i could watch this boat all fucking day, gives me the chills, i'll never be this cool
There is no denying what genda those guys are....😂 my favourite offshore power boat video of all time...
I'll ride with dis captain anytime
I just smile from ear to ear every single time I watch this video and that's a couple times every month I drag it out of my favorites list
There were a few deep water rollers I didn't think they were gonna recover from but this Boat mastered them with perfection.
And that my friends is how it's done
Nothing and I mean nothing handles the ocean like an Apache.
Cigarettes Tiger would keep this Apache 41' honest,,,,,,,😎

About 10:20.

Sure did
Damn... I would have paid money to see [and hear] Razz roar on by wide open !!
Ill wonder if those motors needed rebuilt after this run ?
That boat is an absolute animal!!
At 7:24, Thats SICK! Shoot the Moon. Did helm freak out? Awesome AIR
Whoever was at the helm and throttles is a bad man.
I knew the driver and throttle man. lol!

Wouldn’t that make yves 15 at the time ?
Very unusual elongated swells for South Florida. Must have been a hurricane to the northeast or a massive nor’easter
The sound and power! Wow any gear head would luv this video!
Where money meets balls . Wish we still
Had powerboat racing I’m not into sports but I can appreciate this type of skill

Yes It was My Girl friend in the Chopper
This re-defines every metaphor ever said... Balls of steel, hold my beer, No F_cks given etc, etc etc, etc. Pure raw power in all its glory!
What sort of speed were they rocking
I want to say that Razz ran low 90s as a top speed.
All of it
