The little pixies with the flower hats, have got to be my fav of the day. So cute! Trains are always nice to watch and listen to. The clickety clack, slow rythm is so relaxing. As a kid, I lived on "the other side of the tracks" and would cross them to get to school or a friends house. Once in a while, on a still summer's eve, I can hear a train horn in the distance, mingled with the sound of crickets chirping.
I found a postcard online that my grandmother wrote to her parents in 1920! She mentioned her baby (my aunt). My grandmother died before I was born but I knew my great grandparents very well. I was so excited to find the postcard. Her handwriting was just like my aunt and my mother's. The Palmer Method.
I love this place. I could spend all day there. I thought of you yesterday while watching Michael's (The.Cult.of.Vintage) new video. He was at a Vintage & Antique Mall that had a whole Soda Shop set up in it...plus a vintage Drive-up Diner. 💖
...And, OMG! I love that Fenton Green Tree... It's just incredibly amazing how many different shapes and colors of glass they produced over the years....so much variety. 😁
My iPad was overheating with you two cute guys on my screen! That is a very nice shop and you found some good items for your sales. Miss seeing Blondie (Barb) shopping with you but understand her family responsibilities. Thanks Blue Eyes!
The train depot was lovely inside. Such nice displays in most of the booths. You a bunch of great stuff. When you said it was the Wabash Train Depot I couldn't help think of the song about the Wabash Cannonball.
I like the platter the postcards were on, I would have brought that home. I made a ceramic Christmas tree when I was a kid, just the size of the one you picked up. I wish I still had it! Thanks for another trip around that store, a fun place.
Another great video with you and Aaron y’all to crack me up it’s like Seeing me and my partner interacting with each other have a great weekend and a great sale tonight
One more comment I like finding out what you collect,,,I guessed Christmas type trees,,and now I see it’s true ,,the other is poodles and blue birds,,still watching episodes to find out,,I❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been obsessed with the troll dolls I would have grabbed that Barbie and looked at the bucket of trolls on the ground. I love the ones with gem Belly buttons!
the glitter houses we had a whole village it was my job every year at Christmas to set it up . we would get small lights and place them in each house ... always hated the holidays
What fun! I hope to get to that place one day when I'm older. I do enjoy your eclectic and changing interests. There was a time you would have snatched up that brown dripware cups and caddy. My only problem in a place like this I would spend 4 hours in one booth looking at each thing. Oh and! Thanks for the BONUS Aaron. :-D Perhaps he'll be your Vanna tomorrow?
I’m watching all your episodes,,I love everything you do,,it’s taking me a minute to get use to your sister,,the man who likes trains he’s quiet so I dont mind him,,plus you don’t have to throw everything in your cart fast as with your sister she like the same stuff you do,,keep on working,! Love it all ,,I’m a new subscriber and I’m staying🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good morning Jeffrey and Aaron. Those postcards are beautiful. Those fish cups were great for shrimp cocktail but a bit pricey. The pink glass elephant would sell easily. Those winter plates were beautiful. I myself love plates. Oh man, you returned the hobo elves. I would have bid on those. Love them!
I really need to take a drive to Decatur, Illinois… I say that every time you film at this antique store. I could really do some damage to my checking account. All the swung glass and the amberina nubby butt floor vase.😍. Thanks so much for taking us along!!
Tubby is a Monchichi!! I still get the theme song stuck in my head! .... "monchichi monchichi oh so soft & cuddly! With their thumb in their mouth their really sweet! Love to snuggle their little feet.... how I love my monchichi....."
I was born in Decatur Illinois! I remember taking a train one time from Decatur to Shelbyville when I was very young. It might have been from that depot!
You could have given those elves a home. Next time to Illinois I need to stop there. It's just a slight detour. Yes Occupied Japan is more collectible. My dad occupied Japan. When he passed away I discovered he brought quite a bit home. I've collected it for 30 years. It's either pretty or ugly. Luckily it isn't very expensive.
Currently, there is a scandal involving the bust of Queen Nefertiti residing in the Louvre. There has been a discovery of a bust manufacturing company in Egypt from around the same time as Nefertiti lived. The archeogist for several busts in various stages of production including Nefertiti. Everything about the bust, looked exactly like the museum version, making this one of a kind theory go out the window.
...and that optic stretch glass vase would make an excellent Christmas gift for Barb. It's Epic!!!! Does she have bow picture window in her house. It would look great sitting in front of a big window.
The poem collection was made during WWII. Maybe to help the person who collected cope with the struggles of the times. You may gain a higher profit marketing and selling on eBay. Thanksgiving postcards, especially that include American flag also sell very well on eBay. You got a fantastic deal at the perfect time to resell them.
*Me watching the video* Jeffrey: "Girl you are doing great things in my hand." *My 13 year old cousin from across the room:* "Are you watching OnlyFans?" Me: "No you pervert!"
