True! Primary school teachers spend a lot of time re-tying young kids' shoes. Secondary school teachers can use the Ian Knot to capture their students' imagination.
ProfessorShoelace I hope you don’t mind. I work at Sports Direct and I’m always telling customers, especially those with kids, about your website and your ‘Ian knot’ the world’s fastest shoe lace knot. The looks I get when I tie laces in a second or two is quite amazing!
Now *that's* excellent! You're right at the coal face, so to speak, showing how to tie the "Ian Knot" while people are buying new shoes. The perfect opportunity to demonstrate the "Ian Knot" to a captipe audience. I really appreciate you spreading the word, Nathan.
I should be more active in UA-cam, but alas, my website keeps me way too busy. Plus, not many people seem to get excited by my videos. (Too busy watching funny cat videos?)
Rather than blaming the method of tying we should instead blame the manufacturers for making shoelaces too long. Personally, I always shorten new shoelaces to length whenever I buy new shoes. I'm pretty sure that *none* of the shoelaces in this video would have been long enough to touch the floor.
Samuel Sung You're right, everyone "cheats" by showing only the finishing bow. If I included the starting knot in my video, I'd be the world's second fastest and no-one would watch, as you can see by how few people have watched this video: ua-cam.com/video/iEHKhQi9C_k/v-deo.html. Kind of a dilemma!
I can do that too with no problem Ian. You are the best Ian.
.
Can you maje a video about how to make barrelfish laces on sperry shoe. Please please please
Okay, will do. Just give me a couple of days.
Excellent! Be great for school teachers!

He lives! :D you should be more active, you seem like an interesting and quirky person.

The problem with this method is that you'll still have parts of the shoelaces dragging on the floor.
