    Learn from Lenny Cooke. No matter how good you think you are in something, hustle like your head is on fire. Never be stagnant and learn to say no to anything that drains your energy. There's always someone that wants what you have more and is working hard to get it on your day off. Be humble, keep your eye on the prize and put your ego to the side. Take accountability for your mistakes and try your best not to point fingers at others. Learn from the mistakes of other people to make yourself better. Great interview! Salute to QueenzFlip & DJ G Money!

      @KD SWAGGER I tell my son this everyday, he is a basketball superstar in my city. I tell him to humble himself and everyday to push to be greater than yesterday. He sometimes gets blinded by peers telling him how good he is, and I have to tell him that it’s much more levels to being a great player then where he is at now.

    Lenny is beyond one of the greatest examples we have of somebody that has been able to reflect on his potential greatness WITH evidence and a positive outlook. He continuously brings up how he wouldn’t been better than anybody now that he grew up with, he made specific mistakes that cost him everything, and most importantly he puts the blame on himself because he KNOWS the ball was in his court. Not too many people reflect like this while they’re still young

    • @d.felixphoto2260

    Lenny was a great talent I played at CardoZo a few years before he got on the scene but I seen him play played against him once or twice…. LeBron success had nothing to do with how his career turned out, he just didn’t do the right things his self, he got out of it what he put in… we all know the saying..:rather LeBron hit a shot or not that doesn’t change your status….. if LeBron lost that game he still would have been LeBron…. NO disrespect cause I'm a Celtics fan, but I think that game w/Lebron was a TEST, they wanted to see how he would respond as a professional, not the high school ABCD star Lenny. Kind of like how they do the old vet NBA players by not playing them and seeing how they respond on their respective teams. Can you be a professional, suck it up, and still root for the team, or you going to sulk and react emotionally in the moment.

Putting it on his boy instead of saying Lebron beat me straight up. Who was also younger at the time. I think Cooke was like 2 years older then him. Which makes a big difference at that age. He really think not playing Bro in a preseason game sto[ped him from playing in the NBA is DUMB. He still chasing that 17 kid who had it all and blew it. He's never gonna come to grips with that from the way it looks. He did a skit in his movie saying. If the old Lenny could of talked to the young one. He said all the right things. @EIB At the Rucker and in Semi Pro leagues.....there's a different level and you cant go by those numbers. There's no way to verify. Also I'm saying he was 3 years older than his competition, at that level especially it makes a huge difference. He could get away with shit at that level because of his maturity. Nba scouts realized numbers don't tell the whole story, he played against kids younger than him but didn't play for 18 months and they didn't get to see what he could do at the next level against guys his age as mature as him. He would've been a 21 year old freshman, for NBA GMs those years matter when looking at a player.

    Lenny Cook was a Goat it’s crazy how back then a performance on the court will make you or break you NOW today that shit doesn’t even count crazy how shit changed bol🤦🏾‍♂️💯💯💯

      That performance didn't make or break him he was still top 5 in the nation and killed in one of those hs all star showcases leading up to the draft. His attitude was his downfall.

    Just looked up those summer league stats...The lebron game was the first game for the Celtics. Lenny had a DNP for that game and the Celtics 2nd game. From what I see, the most he scored was 14 points that was the Celtics last game of the summer league. He had another game with 10 points in 8 minutes, and another game where played only 1 minute...there were only 6 game so i'm not buying into the whole conspiracy that they purposefully left him out the game. I need more evidence.

    • @KingJaffeJoffer
      @KingJaffeJoffer Рік тому +1

      Of course there was no conspiracy but there's obviously still alot of self delusion at play w/ Lenny Cooke. Even though he acknowledges his role in his circumstances, he still has to have someone else to share the blame with. Lebron James got dunked on by some random white guy in his first summer league game...but Adidas (who Lebron didn't sign with) via Sonny Vaccaro...conspired with the NBA to DNP Lenny Cooke to "protect" Lebron in a summer league game LOL. These are delusions of grandeur.

      Its def weird cuz why WOULDN’T the Celtics want a lebron type talent? Im glad u said the context so its clear. Your analysis makes way more sense than a damn conspiracy. The celtics aint got shit to do with the cavs lol. And the STAFF made that decision not the NBA. I just wish lenny wouldve listened to the right people.

    • @JohnDoe113
      @JohnDoe113 Рік тому +4

      @@DJRashadHayes Factz! There's no conspiracy. Like you said, the Staff made that decision. There were probably more pro-ready players on ahead of him. He's undrafted out of high school competing against guys that played college ball and even overseas so it's understandable why might have not gotten much burn.

      Yeah I don't get how he thinks he was ever better than Lebron lol. Lebron made his name off of outplaying him in that game. What he SHOULD be saying is "I was the man before Lebron"...which would be more accurate of a statement.

      And Lebron was 16 going into his junior year. That game was in the summer of 2001. Lebron was 16 & Lenny was 19-20 yrs old. Lenny was ruled ineligible due to his age in the winter of 2001. He declared for the draft in 2002. All facts.
