8 months ago we were in the midst of the BLM protests, vast majority of which were peaceful but were met with violent suppression and 50+ vehicular attacks. Privilege to worry about riots rather than extrajudicial state and vigilante executions and discrimination.
it's so cool they tried to portray what each generation is kind of feeling and even now a lot of people can still relate to this show after so many years
Amy is a genius. She made an entire show over the course of a decade or longer to get a character to be exactly like her mother. stop reading my comment if you haven’t seen revival series *spoiler** Lorelei was good, intelligent, then did a thing. She had a child with a man that wasn’t right for her. Had to raise her on her own. Luke came later. Rory was good, intelligent, then did a thing. She will soon raise a child with a man who isn’t right for her (Logan), will have to raise it on her own. Jess will come eventually.
i disagree. i don't get it when people relate logan to christopher. i get it that they have some things in common like they're both wild in a sense and does things in the spur of the moment but while christopher never grew up, never matured and had trouble committing, logan changed. he was like that before he met rory but then he really grew alongside her and while he kept his wild side, he also matured and learned how to stay. he was always there for rory. while christopher always failed to be there whenever lorelai needed him, logan was there for rory. i'm sure if he's aware of the baby and finds out rory needs him, he'll go to any length to support her in way she require. and while jess might be good for her now, we can't ignore how he treated her earlier. i get it was all his upbringing and the stuff he was going through that made him like that but that still doesn't excuse how he acted towards her, his girlfriend. i think logan is the one for rory but that's just my opinion. i respect yours too.
@@khadijahzzx4736 -Have to disagree about Logab, he cheated on Rory with all of his sister's bridesmaid, even though Rory said they were broke up and Logan said they were on a break, but then in the revival ,he is engaged, but still cheating with Rory, so don't think he has changed, just got older. Far as Jess ,he was a jerk and still isn't best for Rory.
@@khadijahzzx4736 WHOA WHOA WHOA! When did Christopher NOT commit? HE wanted to marry Lorelai and be a family in HIGH SCHOOL! HIGH SCHOOL!! Most hs boys, especially those with wealthy parents like Strobe and Francine, would have RUN. Parents would have insisted on paternity testing and done everything to blame her for being promiscuous, as was evident in the disastrous dinner in S1. Big $$$ would have been exchanged to bribe her to "get rid of it". 🚩Lorelai turned CHRISTOPHER down. He showed up or called every time he was asked to, aside from Richard's 2nd heart attack. The minute he found out about Sherry being pregnant, he broke things off w Lor and committed to Sherry. When Sherry ran off to Europe with no warning that we know of, Chris became a single dad and threw himself into it without hesitation. I don't know how people can possibly see Christopher as a bad guy. He wasn't right for Lor, but he did absolutely everything to be there for her and Rory. Chris was a kind, sensitive guy from all we see. He was ditched by not one, but TWO women, the mothers of his children and really loved them all (meaning moms and kids). He did all of this despite being raised by horrible people. That leaves serious scars that impact kids forever. Give Christopher a break and see him for all he DID do and the pain he suffered repeatedly. Logan can't hold a candle to Chris. He was a horrible, manipulative boyfriend up to the end. He was a BONESMAN. His dad was absolutely correct about him (and about Rory). So many people are blinded by the family money, it's really quite scary.
Just finished the whole season and the 4 chapter after...it was indeed a great show hopefully there are more shows like this...brave to show the world's greatest issue ...
We need more shows like this. Between the pandemic and the crazy riots we need normalcy back...
