Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
I have changed the blade to a mulching blade and created a flat bottom underneath to prevent grass buildup. It saves a lot of time emptying and I think improves the health of the soil if it receives a moderate amount cuttings. I think the rule is, cut one third the height. And the finish usually looks the same as if collection was done.
That was one of the more well rounded looks at this mower. I've seen a lot of reviewers that either hate this mower unreasonably or love it so much I wonder if Makita gave them some money.
finaly did you finally buy the machine? what is your opinion? I'm thinking of buying one myself. thanks did you finally buy this machine? what is your opinion? I'm thinking of buying one . thanks
Im a carpenter for 18 years now . I do concrete , frame , stair , finition etc ... I have burn all tool , the one who last longer are makita . I have kill hilti , milwaukee , ridgid , makita etc . The one who last longer is makita .
I have a lot of makita tools already and 4 batteries a 6 a 5 and two 3s one of the 3s is very old I suspect I'd need another 6 but electric is the future my 18month old petrol mower has died but I do have a sizeable section excluding the house and trees and shrubs I think it still would be 1100 or so square with varied terrain too
Hey, I really enjoyed your review. My corded 1700w lawnmower died today and I am thinking of getting this one. But since I am in the DIY e-bike battery scene, it would be very easy for me to put together a 36V battery myself. Do you know if the lawnmower works if you apply just 36V DC across the two farthest of battery connectors? Or does it NEED to also see a makita BMS in each of the slots in order to work?
I think the electrics are simple enough on these that you could but I'm not sure. Though it does have a battery meter for each battery. One thing I did discover the other day was the red safety breaker key (not sure the proper name) had melted a bit and broke the circuit. So I bypassed it and it worked fine.
I got Makita battery kits from Aliexpress, the 5s 3p ones, and put in samsung 30q cells, welded with 2 layers of .2 nickel and installed balance taps in the air vent holes so I can balance charge them, so im going to use them in a Makita mower and trimmer, I run 4 of them on my ebike giving 72v 9ah.
Note that it's a lot cheaper to buy cheap 18650 batteries and print samsung on them than it is to actually buy samsung 18650s so I wouldn't believe they're real.
Great review thank you. Your battery link has been removed from eBay, could you post another please? Are they much cheaper than the oem ones? With thanks

Barry Jenkinson is there a chance you could connect two batteries in series and give it a try for me?

Hi, the link to your generic Samsung 7.5Ah batteries is broken. Can you put up a new one?
Great review... I will subscribe as I think you did a great review 😀😀
The ''design flaw'' looks to me that the frame/plastik have been bent so that it does not fit.
Exactly.
champion! I'm researching mowers for my brother. Any thoughts on the quality of the after market batteries? Thanks for posting this up mate.

Thanks you for your review.
Awesome review. Thanks
The basket DOES NOT have a design flaw, you just probably failed its fittings by attaching it wrongly.
Top review.. Thank you kind sir.
Great review, going to pull the trigger. Where did you get the batteries?
@Mike M any links?
Honest review I like ot
Poor motor and warranty issue
Watch the kid man..
I’m the 4 year old yippe😂
Too bad it ONLY has a 17" cutting width. My gas mower has a 21".
