This was stunning. Headphones on and in fullscreen on my 13" laptop (2160p mode on YT), this was quite an experience for a hosted video on YT. Great production and creativity, thank you.
Disclaimer. This video was edited in Dolby Vision and shot in 12 bits Rec2020 with Blackmagic Cinema Camera. UA-cam is playing it back in HDR10. Same thing as I shot with my iPhone 12pro in Dolby Vision but YT is playing back the files in HDR10. Dolby Atmos Music is spatial audio and compatible with headphones and different from film multi channel audio. Is the same technology used by Apple Music and other services. To enjoy put headphones.
If I'm not mistaken, UA-cam does not support Dolby Vision HDR, so even with a display that supports it, you're still not seeing it. It either plays without HDR or it converts it HDR10 or HLG.

The telescope scene plays out like a meme format, where you have "The Society" and "Me" :D On a serious note, those 8 telescopes (prove me wrong, didn't put much effort in counting them) are on a serious big game mission!
UA-cam cannot play dolby vision, only HDR10. So when I play the video on my LG CX (dolby vision capable), it only activates HDR, not dolby vision. What's the point of uploading videos with dolby vision to youtube then? I'm asking because I've seen tons of videos like this claiming that they are dolby vision but it just makes no sense XD
We always export in Dolby Vision and actually it looks better than HDR on YT. Here is a picture of the settings that we used on the video facebook.com/galamediafilms/posts/1935223366636599?comment_id=1936556239836645¬if_id=1626425685194943¬if_t=feed_comment&ref=notif
@@jennifergala yes, it may look better, but the main advantage of dolby vision is dynamic metadata (as well as more precise colors, more brightness, etc.). If YT is not able to play dolby vision, then the video is just a regular HDR10 video, with static metadata
@@TheSaker20 Actually we need to 12bit panels and 10000nits to enjoy Dolby vision. OLEDS are max out at 700 or the A90J at 1300 nits plus Dolby Vision looks dinner than HDR10. The video was mastered in DV and yes it looks great actually it looks better than if I were to master it in HDR10 directly. Is the same with our Blackmagic 12K camera and the 4K. When we shoot in 12K and downconvert to 4K thé footage looks better than shooting directly in 4K. There's more information. Thx.
@@jennifergala That's true, as you say, no TV is able to get more than 2000 nits right now, and DV is prepared for 10000 nits, and 12 bits. So I think that the main advantage we look for when using DV is dynamic metadata, and we lose that advantage in YT. Still, I think that is not very important for a YT video, given the short duration of the videos; dynamic metadata is fundamental especially for a movie. So at the end, if colors look better when mastered in DV, even if YT is not playing DV, you're right
@@TheSaker20 DolbyVision is the future, but right now it's not great or the best. No Oled on the market is capable of displaying correctly HDR, or even DV. Check out the links: ua-cam.com/video/XPzM3NDGuSc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/FwcSCgW47rY/v-deo.html FYI samsung have been selling 4000nits displays for quite a while now @jennifergala A90J will not be able to maintain 1300 nits for more than a few seconds, after which it drops to 800 nits, so we have to question how much of a benefit the "brighter OLED panel" In this HDR video the moon covers about 50% of the screen, when the sun shines on the moon, a QLED will display the moon as bright white and an OLED as grey; both keep the same blacks
While I have you here, how long have you had your LG CX and what do you think of it? I've only had mine for just over a week & it is the most beautiful screen...and also the most troublesome.

Watching it on my iPad 12,9 2021 mini led « XDR » display. Amazing. Better than OLED to me. Blacks are really blacks, and Color’s pops like they could never do on an OLED screen. Amazing what Apple has done with those Mini-led screens. And I see no blooming effect AT ALL in this vid.
