I've never been to prom either. I regret it now. A couple days after my junior year prom, a girl who I sort of knew told me she was taking me to next year's prom because I told her I had never been. She never asked me when prom came around, and I spent that night the way I spent most nights, alone in my room playing Skyrim. It still hurts, and that was 5 years ago. Now that I think about it, maybe she was expecting me to ask her. But I had no idea how to even approach her just to talk, how the hell would I have asked her to prom? Having Autism sucks. I feel like I unintentionally pushed her away just because my Autism manifests as social anxiety and lack of expression, which makes me seem anti-social and uninterested. It was only recently that I've experienced having friends in my co-workers. Sorry for this wall of text. I just started typing and it just all came out. I guess I needed to vent.

Just found this. Honestly this makes me wish I had at least attempted to go to homecoming and prom at least once, but I got crushed so hard first year of I could've gone to homecoming I never even bothered to even try again. Every year was the same after that. Spent it alone with only my games to keep me company I searched something to help with loneliness and you never cease to stop popping up in the search with videos to help me when I really need it. Thank you.

I saw the working part of the day through then when asked to attend I replied “the last few years have been a complete and excruciating waste of time, see you all in hell.” And it was a girl that asked me to attend. I'm sorry if this script or series made you feel that way. I wrote it to provide comfort and positivity from a negative moment in my own life. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and everyone's tunnel is a different length. It's supposed to show that happy endings do exist. Sure it takes a while to get there, but when you finally get there, you appreciate it that much more. At least I will once I reach that ending for myself. So until then, keep on trucking through the tunnel. Let people around you help guide you in some way to the light. And if you're alone, think of it as if you have more control over how you move through the tunnel. It will be rough, sure, but I know you can do it. We all can. Just gotta keep on trucking through. In times like these, I'm glad there's no such thing as "prom" here. Still, even if there was, no way in Hell I'd attend, always hated these events, even gym ones, all of them. I always preferred to do things alone. Story-wise...a bit of lolz. *le me, thinking* _"Well...this turned out less worse than expected, despite all the crap that girl put me up with."_ *gets in the car* "...hmm..." *slowly nods to self; after a few miles...* "You hear that burst when you accelerate? Your fan belt is loose. And when you break, your foot goes all the way down, which means there's air in the system. Apart from the rear brakes are worn out, the front right tire's a bit soft, which explains why you're weaving so much."
Proms aren't really that healthy tbh, my old school used to host discos for like Christmas as I only remember going to 1 which was to just chat with my friends, they also held a prom where people were actual dresses ect, I knew it wouldn't be my type of place so I said I was going as an excuse to leave earlier
