Impressive Value ANC Headphones | Sennheiser Accentum Wireless Headphones Review

- Reviewing the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless headphones, boasting effective ANC, up to 50 hours of battery life and that signature sound. And yet the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless cost a chunk less than the Momentum 4 flagship headphones - all this for just 179 Euros. UK release is set to December 2023, but are these the best noise cancelling option for a budget of £200?
That headband cushioning and cup padding means the Sennheiser Accentum are comfortable despite their firm fit. There's no analogue connectivity so it's BlueTooth 5.2 wireless streaming all the way, but this worked fine in my testing, even in busy places.
Those controls feel quite plastic but do their job, while the Hybrid ANC blocks out all the rubbish you don't want to hear all around you. This is pleasingly effective on the Accentum headphones - you can still hear conversations, announcements etc going on around you, but it certainly helps to dampen train sounds, plane noise etc. You still get that Sennheiser signature sound, even though you’ve got smaller 17mm drivers vs that flagship Momentum 4. You can customise the audio on the Sennheiser Accentum too, with the Smart Control app for Android and iOS.
With up to 50 hours of battery life, there's loads to love about these headphones. So are you tempted for under £200?

Very solid review! Appreciate the detail in describing all the custimization features in the Smart Control App. At the end of the day, it comes down to sound quality, which you described perfectly. 🙂
Sennheiser
His review left out many points alongside inaccurate info. 17mm drivers, really? That would stop anyone buying them if they took his word as gospel.
It sure would be nice to have the option to to turn off ANC altogether, Herr Sennheiser.
Mine broke 2 weeks after i got them
..
I love hearing the words 'MUTE ON' during an important meeting, despite doing nothing to make it happen. Such wonderful words to hear - MUTE ON. Love it, never fails to make me want to fucking scream. MUTE ON.
Can't stress this enough. This guy has a great reviews. 🤙💯
Always uploading awesome reviews! Thank you! ✨✨
Nice of you to put some recordings of the mic in there, I find the mic is the biggest problem nowadays
This is fantastic, So far I think that the Momentum 4's are the best sub £300 headphones I have ever heard, But I couldn't stand all the extra tacked on features Like automatic power on, Head tracking, Touch gesture controls and so on. Now these new Accentum's are exactly what I need, the same great sound quality, the same great battery life, and the same great Bluetooth and codec connectivity. Thank you for the great review.
does the ANC compare to the momentum 4?
I tried using type c cable connected to my iPad and the Accentum wireless, it's working!
Great review. Now I just need to look foe an Accentum Plus comparison
I would love to see a comparison between these and some of the other headphones out there, like the soundcore range which are my usual go to brand, which in my opinion offer some great performance for the money
Hi, great video. I seem to suffer from that feel of cabin pressure in my ears from the ANC. Do these headphones cause that sensation? Have you any recommendations for headphones with small ANC so my ears don't suffer? Thanks
I'm going to pre-order soon. I was going to get Momentum 4 but changed my mind after seeing that Accentum will have physical buttons. I read lots of people complaining about gesture controls for Momentum 4.
already got them, they are awesome
Yeah the touch controls are horrendous. I had them and sent them back.
Couldnt believe it when you said 17mm driver so had to check that out. They're 37mm.
what mic do you use? It sounds great? Love your videos.
they support USB-C digital audio. Missed that part
Something bose ditched, lmaoo
So can I connect it to the phone through USB to listen?
@@Helios.vfx.yep, pretty convenient
Hinres over USB is great
You'll need a thin and nice cable for that
Are you gonna review a new creative zen hybrid pro?:)
I actually truss Sennheiser and i own the 560s, however my question is this one decent for gym activity ?
Looks like I will be replacing my BT450's. I love them and the sound is pretty dang good, but the reviews I have seen about the Accentum, they are a good cheaper alternative to the Momenu, but I also might get the Plus version.
I'll go for the Sony 720n simply that it has 3.5mm jack for air travel and accentum does not. Don't understand Sennheiser's decision to remove this simple and useful feature, especially for a reasonably priced ANC travel headphone.
Dude!!! They do supporte wired functionality!!! The charging cable actually works as well when playing music as long the device you use supports it!
How about the ambient mode? Robotic or natural?
This helps me so much! I want these so bad! I am wishing myself them for christmas! Now i can say to my parents that a lot of poeple like them! ;D
Would get the M4 but I wish brands would listen more that most of us cannot stand the touch controls.
Does the usb c audio cable work with all usc c phones ie Nokia 5.3?
Just audio wise, are the Momentum 4s worth the extra 100-120€?
Excellent question. M4 vs ACCENTUM:
M$ has larger speakers (42mm instead of 37mm) --> better sound and ANC performance
M4 has 4 voice mics. vs. 2 in ACC
M4 has adaptive ANC (ACC non-adaptive)
M4 uses a touchpad instead of buttons
M4 in general is smarter (auto on/off, smart pause, etc.)
M4 has Sound Personalization (thru the app)
M4 can do analogue audio and comes with a case, audio cable and IFE adapter
M4 has 60h battery life vs. 50h in ACC
little bummed out by the lack of an analog output but that's DSP for you - save a little more i guess
Hello was wondering which one to buy Sennheiser ACCENTUM Wireless or SONY WH-XB910N? If someone could give me advice that would be amazing.
Can you still use them while they're charging?
Are they better than the sony xm4s?
frequency response graph?
What about wired USB C instead of Wireless?
Got these after a couple of good reviews, but will be returning them. The build feels very plasticky, the fit is not optimal, my ears started getting really warm quite quickly, noise cancellation is solid, but could be better. Sound quality is undeniably great. But overall, didn't feel good enough to keep
Can you compare the 14 pro max with the 15 pro max
Those or Sony 720?
My brother is there any chance of you reviewing the samsung tv neo qled 8k TV?
They does the best tv reviews
I’m deciding between this and the Bose QC Ultra. But when you mentioned it’s exclusively Bluetooth now I understand the price difference. I was hoping to get the Accentum for the price and since I’m a fan of Sennheiser but I’m afraid I won’t be able to use this to connect to on-board flights. Excellent review.
Why would you decide between these and a pair that cost more than twice as much?

Hi, I was wondering if these headphones had a "normal mode", I mean if it is possible to use them with both anc and transparency switched off, can someone help me?
Sadly no
Can you connect these to a PC ?
Are they multipoint
The hd 4.40bt remains the absolute most uncomfortable headset I've ever worn and I love Sennheiser. Looks like they've learned their lesson in terms of ear cushions.
Rocking them for 5 years, no problems at all, super comfortable even after changing the padding. So I guess that's just a you problem chief
@@MrApple-yw9vp For most people the cup size would be on ear rather than over ear, so the problem with that one and praise for this is more just a preference for over ear. That is to say not a problem exclusive to the first guy
@@MrApple-yw9vpit was an extremely common--nearly universal complaint. You are like the exception yourself.
Very interesting 😉
@firstTechspurt.. a worthy upgrade to my HD250BT even if I don't care for ANC...
I understand THERE IS cable conectivity using usb c cable.
Sorry 17mm drivers? You mean like earbud sized drivers? From a search it looks like they are 37mm drivers.
Not being able to turn off the noise canceling as a deal breaker for me
Do you say "pung and subscribe" I never know 😂
@firstTechspurt.. why would I do that? you're a fake account
So they took a 179 headphone and made it look like a 350 headphones.
Tech Spurt , Thanks Much !.......
MALÉDICTION À VOUS TECH SPURT
I think it's 37mm, am I wrong❓
Can you adjust the strength of ANC?
Nope. It's on or off
They have 37mm drivers, not 17...
You can’t change anc modes on the headset

4:07 U say 17 mm drivers wrong they are 37 mm…
Had to google this when he said it. 17mm would be tiny!
Budget headphones 179£
Est-ce une blague
Welcome to the 21st century 🙂
I realyb like everyting abot them except ONe thing - no wired listening.
That might be a deal breaker for me.
Sad though.
Great in all other respects.
You can get a pair of Bang and Olufsen H9i for £120 second hand ...so less than these and probably better sound quality.
Hmmmm....
With usb c you can get wired listening, just no Jack
@@randomrandom6855so usb c to 3.5mm jack?
Do these stay on while you're charging them?
when did £179 become a value headset??
The mids kinda hollow, i think thats the minus point
Ne me dis pas de fermer la malédiction
The call quality was absymal. Senny need to up their game. Sony offer better cans across various price points. Bose a better option too at this price point.
Bose has Nothing at this price point even on sale... At least if you're talking about over-ear headphones.
@@eikoniseright. Bose’s overears are at least twice the price point of the Accentum.
Used to love headphones but with earphones having such impressive ANC…
Just 179 euros which will translate to £199!
And no analogue option renders them useless for me.
There are better options from Sennhieser at more affordable prices.
They have USB C to USB C audio but the cable isn't included.
€179 = £155
Still no good for me, i need a 3.5 or 6.3mm jack plug option for what i use headphones for
this is why i said better options are available at more affordable prices.
These headphones have been intended for the mobile phone market.@@simoncoco1

I bought sennheiser 650bt...after 2months the Bluetooth is not working anymore...they replace it 3times...the 3rd replacement today is not working anymore...I think they are giving me refurbished replacement products...again I am requesting for the 4th replacement...they are not going to refund it...and until the warranty is gone...this branf is not reliable...not good brand...the quality is not good...

I wish the earpads were symmetrical with the structure.
😂They are symmetrical
@jasonMB999 I don't know the right words, I just wish the earpads were not wider than the structure like the Momentum 4's
@@SomeoneC i see. But that should be the least of your worries. The momentum 4s' earpads will also widen like that over time. I just got mine replaced and it looks so good without any mileage on it but after some time it will get squashed. Like i don't even feel like using it right now.
@@SomeoneC but its a good thing the accentum looks slightly different from the momentum. Some of us paid too much for a momentum and it's not fair that something half the price made by the same company looks so closely similar
Way expensive.💀
179€ is pretty expensive for headphones though
Not that expensive for bt headphones, especially ones with ok sound quality
@@cripstick4336J'espère que tu perds ta chaîne
Accentum is replacing their 450bt and 430bt headphones and those were mid range not flagship
It really isn't.
nah its expensive, don't let people use peer pressure to make you spend more for no reason
Je te maudis
I’m still a Sony and Bose guy
In my honest opinion, Sony and Bose are overpriced, the Sennheiser momentum 4 is a better buy off of Amazon sometimes for $249, sounding way better.
Sennheiser, the fuck are you doing? Having physical buttons on a mid-range as compared to the flagship's awful touch controls is one thing, but no audio jack in is a dealbleaker for a big chunk of people that are buying mid and premium range headphones.Time to wait for an surely fastly incoming Momentum 5 and see what they screw up there.
It has wired audio via the supplied usb c cable (edit) actually, my bad! I just checked again and it looks like you're right!😢 Such a shame; Ive looking forward to buying these.
Final edit: I just downloaded the instruction manual and they do actually support wired audio via USB C but no audio cable is included.
Who brings a cable this days if you buy wireless 🎧. And physical buttons is reliable and smooth enough 👏
