They are great
When I heard the studio version I thought they would possibly lower the key or rely on backing tracks, the fact they can do this early in the morning on release day is insane. Much respect
@chantroyal9269 it's in the same and original key. The song is not too difficult for them imo. Route 55 on the other hand is probably the highest Danny has ever sung in head voice. I can picture that being lower.
Mcfly in general has never really tuned down unless they didn't wanna carry around too much equipment. Star Girl is a prime example since the original is in Eb but they actually play it a key higher these days. That way they wouldn't need a guitar only for that song on tour.
My thoughts too.. totally insane how they can nail it.
And interesting about star girl being a key higher in their live shows! I feel like they’re vocal range just keeps getting larger with each album
@@bitchfit2008 100% it’s hardly an insanely complicated song, but tbh I have heard bands do a lot worse with basic songs close to release date, without a tours worth of practice! The song is fun as hell though 🤙
