Follow up with the ball barings in the number 2 and 3 carbs. There is also a little spring that goes in before the ball bearing. I lost the springs and bearings when i seperated my carbs. Had to order new ones.
Also, as far as cleaniners and degreasers go. Just keep an eye on what you use and make sure it is aluminum and brass safe. Simple green is a big no if you plan on soaking for half an hour.left in to long, will stain the aluminium dark grey. I use purple power or a very diluted simple green. Also you can use a chem dip, but make sure the carb is stripped to the bone and wear gloves. Wash off the carb immediately with warm water and dont let it sit for more then 48 hours. The brass will be discolored
Good luck, i have learned alot from ur videos and they have helped me with rebuilding my 1982 kz1000j engine
Cheers, no nothing sprung out, so looks as if i need to order them, the carb cleaner i use in the ultrasonic is the correct one, i did my Z650 carbs as well in an earlier video also came out good, all is wash as soon as it comes out , glad the videos are of help
Nice looking forward to the next video
Thanks 👍
I learn whith you.Thank you very much,my friend.
My pleasure
Looks like You're getting a very nice finish on those bodies. Again, what cleaner are You using?
Remember, You can also zinc plate the carbs, and colour them either black or silver, by dipping them in a passivating solution afterwards. I mean, if You happen to know someone with a plating tank. Anyway, good work, and thanks for sharing! 👍
They are coming up nicely, still may paint them though, will match the engine, black and chrome, trying to do everything myself, saves a bit of cash as being an 1170 bore will eat more cash on upgrades
What size is your ultrasonic cleaner I'm thinking of getting one but not sure what size to get, what fluid do you use.
Thanks, mine is a 3ltr, just wanted a small one to start, but will be looking at a 10 or 15ltr in the future as mine is a bit small when it comes to carbs, the fluid is carburetor cleaning solution,i get it off Ebay, use 1 to 2 cap full per tank
3 litre he said
