First time seeing this as it was recommended after I watched the opening to "honey I shrunk the kids " I don't know why but I never got into this movie as a kid. I saw it 1st one in theaters in 1989 at age five but when this came out I didn't bother. I saw a few scenes the following year on HBO as a kid but it never held my interest much. I doubt I'd like it as an adult but tempted to check it out. Definitely remember Homeward bound and 3 ninjas lol.
This intro always made me laugh so hard when I was a kid and still does today.
During my childhood, I lived in the city that Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey was filmed in: Bend, Oregon!

The animation looks like it was done by the people who did School House Rock (not that that's a bad thing).
Need more animated Rick Moranis in my life haha.
Nostalgia tingles. The best, and the worst.
My VHS copy has previews for 3 Ninjas, Captain Ron, and The Muppet Movie. It also has the Little Richard music video after the movie.
the Opening Credits animation segment to Honey, I Blew the Kid reminds me something from Garfield!
Richard Canipe Garfield & Friends, perhaps? Man, I miss that show.
4:22 my favorite part
That was the movie with the scene when a giant toddler was playing on the giant guitar from the Vegas building and was messing with the entire city.
on #6, change it to 3 Ninjas TV spot, 3 Ninjas Kick Back was a TriStar Pictures release from 1994.
On #6, the director of 3 Ninjas also did National Treasure and National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. His name is Jon Turteltuab.
Keri Russell was also in Bedtime Stories (2008).
Nostalgia
Omfg the nostalgia!!
OMG...IKR!!!
I have another copy of this that has a music video at the very end of the movie, with Little Richard singing On Top Of Spaghetti
+Andrew Vickers (andrewvickers1992) THAT was why my father bought Little Richard's "Shake It All About" CD!
I remember.
RIP Marcia Strassman.
I concur. I always loved Marcia Strassman as an actress, and I especially liked her in this movie.
This movie deserves to have a Disney Digital 3-D re-release with Kim Cattrall (from Ice Princess).
Honey, I Blew Up The Kid my favorite movie.
