    I wonder what they did with Aslan since they filmed this? It is my life's ambition to meet and give a big fat hug to this robotic lion. Only then will I feel my life has been fulfilled!

      drseafrog Oh I hear ya, I'm a lifetime cat lover, but it was only domestic cats I really had a heart for until I read the Chronicles of Narnia. Then I fell in love with _all_ cats, including wild ones. Oh man, the feeling I was stepping into another world!

      Same thing with me +peter kuzemchak I love narnia. I even drew a huge picture of the Narnia title by hand by looking at a pic on my phone it turned out P-E-R-F-E-C-T i got all the points and everything correct there making a new narnia coming out in 2018 The Silver Chair the thing is they done know if the same actors will come back i hope they do cuz it wouldn't be the same without them and its sad there all grown up Narnia4Life

      Btw Aslan represents Jesus and the witch represents Satan like when she killed him in The lion,Wardrobe and the witch narnia and he rose again and the table broke in half like it says in the bible that the earth split In half when Jesus rose again

      I am only 11 so I grew up in an environment where the new Disney films were more in fashion and more popular. However, the moment I saw the BBC version, I read all the books and now Narnia books and Narnia BBC all have a special place in my heart!

      +Greg Richardson Hi Greg, I worked for the Producer, Paul Stone. I was involved in the administrative side of the production - there were so many people on this - it took up a huge portion of the BBC's budget at the time! Paul helped me further my career after that - I became a Studio Manager and have now written my first film. He was the best boss anyone could work for. A real gentleman and was kind and supportive to everyone. These were the happiest times I've had and look back with fond memories x

      +Freddy Lowe Freddy, that is wonderful to hear! Perhaps one day, you might go on to do something equally as magic? I do hope so. It's great to hear it made an impact on someone. I think it's played an important part on firing up imaginations around the world. C S Lewis was an amazingly creative writer.

    Oh, this is wonderful. I would die if I had a chance to stand next to this Aslan puppet. The CGI Aslan was fine, but considering the time the BBC version was made (and its budget, I suppose), this was innovative and superb. The only thing I ever found “wrong” with this puppet was the clunky way that Aslan walked, but with practical effects, you do what you can, and you often can’t have everything.

    CG Aslan looks too unnerving with the moving lips. The puppet's approach of just slowly moving the mouth isn't perfect, but it's not in the uncanny valley.

    • @vincentanuneko4269
      @vincentanuneko4269 5 років тому +2

      You think cgi mouths on real animals are unnerving? Its better than crappy puppetry or having to listen to their inner monologue. Ever seen or read frank herbert and david lynch's version of dune? The whole film and book is filled of inner monologues. It can be confusing when the films narrator comes in and you wonder who's thoughts are you hearing. Same with anime. So get used to cgi a mouths on animals.
