"It has all kinds of buttons; this is gonna be cool" 😆😝
Cool buttons
This is not a review, this is a commercial.
At the end of the video I not only have a long time review but also how to service the Unit, and tomorrow the first error code fix video will be posted
This is an ode.
Who uses a swamp cooler 😂😂
Commercial fir sure. Lots of redundancy in this video and preoccupied with Vegas climate. Didn’t even take seriously the cooling temp change over time-simply clickbaited the viewer to another video. Protracted wordiness for 10 solid minutes without real focus on performance. I don’t really buy ac units fir the “sound of fake wind blowing thru the trees”. Disappointed.
I really love that ''Nature wind'' setting. 🥰🌲🍃🍃🌳
Thanks. Looking forward to buying one ASAP. Going be 106 in Seattle this week.
Yeah they worn great under 20 percent humiditu
Yoo wassup Washingtonian it bout to be hot this weekend!!!

did you get it? if so does it get real cool?
@@jlo8782 no I couldn’t find it but I found one at Home Depot called Darby I think
Which swamp cooler is the best you’ve used?
Hi thank you so much for this tutorial, it answered a lot of questions.
Just moved to the high desert in apple valley ca, usually the humidity is 40% down usually in the low 20's and temperature between 95-115 in the summer.
I'm buying a portable evaporative cooler that covers 1,600 sqf my house is 1,845sft, Waiting to be delivered next week.
My question is: do you need to open any doors or windows and where is the best location to cover as much area as possible?
Also, do you recommend a second unit to cover the whole house?
Again, thank you so much... I'll appreciate your response.
How long does one fill last? If anything I'll be using it only at night time for my kids room. Thanks.
Jesus, watched your dirtbike videos. Now any swamp cooler video I click it's you hahaha.
Great video. Will this unit work well for Florida? Looks like it will.
No it wont. A swamp cooler only works in low humidity areas.. florida is a hot box of humidity lol I hated roofing in the summer but anyhow they work best in dry areas like deserts best and actually are cheaper then a AC. I wouldn't recommend using a swamp cooler if u have humidity above 50%
Thank you sir for this review this is the exact product I've been looking for but I live in France and I don't know how I can buy one here in europe
Cool....from where I can get it and how much is it...? Thanks
Thank you!
Thank you too
Its been sold out for months .do you charge it or is it electrical .i see no plug
If you are using it in a dry climate it will work way better than in a humid climate. How much better. Today I checked two places. Houston Texas 96°F and 42% Relative Humidity [RH] elevation 40 ft. and Sandy Utah 94°F 6%RH and 4400 feet. Houston change would be -19.5 °F, Sandy’s change would be -38.7 °F. Think one would be happier with the Sandy change than the Houston change?
Very true
Hey is this good as a replacement for an air conditioner? Where i live is super hot and im not allowed having an air conditioner
If it's dry works great if where tog live it's humid, not that much
Love the Lilac-breasted rollers on the bed comforter.
But does it cool adequately??
What this product good well in Long Beach ca?
How much does this cost, and what's the maximum area amount of air flow that it can cover ?
OOOOH! Do not have to vent out a window. Getting close to what I'm looking for, maybe this is it!!😎 Should work fine. I'm in CO, and swamp coolers are used here.
It's not going to cool much FYI. It helps with the dry climate but really it's just a moist fan.
Love your videos. Re-assuring for sure
Thanks
I want one sooo bad. Btw great reviews. 👍👍👍👍👍
They work exceptionally well in the desert. It’s like sitting next to a waterfall. I miss mine.
thank you I went and got this.

How often would I be replacing the pad if I use purified water?
I haven't got that far, but I would say a long time, like years, purified water will make it last forever
Is it recommended to use air cooler like this in a tight spaced apartment? I have a small space and don't have much of ventilation. Im worried this might cause molds. Though i use dehumidifier at home, i hope that is enough to avoid molds and damp smell.
Never had mold from kit but it does need cleaning regurally, once a week, will grow mold in the tray
@@vegasromaniac Ive seen a video where a guy made a review about a similar product and uses nitrogen on the bucket to avoid molds. Have you tried using anything else other water before?
Is an evaporative cooler for low humidity locations only? I live in Florida, so would you recommend this type of cooling system for this location?
Yes do not buy one in Florida... It will not work.. At all,
@@vegasromaniac thanks so much............
Are you able to put ice cube to keep it colder longer
You can but doesn't improve cooling, also not effcinet
Vegas water isn't that bad btw bro. Lived there for a long time and it was better than most cities I lived in. Stay safe out there!
Will it push out colder air if you put a lot of ice in the water?
Yes!
will this work in the midwest?
Is the pump supposed to be on the water ?
Ay. It’s a Father Guido Sarducci. Lol!
How do you stop mold or mildew formation?, maintenance cycle?. because it starts to smell in an week
I have a video on it, but every 2 weeks gets a cleaning in the sink
Add hydrogen peroxide to water
Great review
I live in the high desert California and need a good cooler would this work?
Yes will work great in california , it's not a ac, but it's way better than a fan
hi i live in the uk my bedroom is in a attic very hot what do u recommend up to £100 i dont want a air conditioner because i will need a pipe. what alternative.
In us ac is the only way
Same problem Kyle. Did you manage to find anything decent after?
@@Braveheart807 no do u recommend anything at is not too expensive fans only circulate the air
Thanks for the very detailed information sir, I'm a single female & wanted a cooler to add more cooling to my 🛏️ room here in Texas.
Being a single female and all, obviously the room doesnt get hot enough!
Single female.... Get rid of a few cats and the temp will go down
@@achilles1373 🤣🤣🤣 oh bro

Will putting ice water in be more effective? Or is the evaporatorative temperature higher to where it won't help?
Ice water helps a lot, lot cooler air
Would this work in a smaller space? I need something in my semi truck cab (sleeper) to keep me cool on hot nights. Cannot idle. It's too expensive and will ruin my def system. Was thinking about buying a portable ac unit and a small generator to run it. But if this would work it would pull less power than an ac but wouldn't be as cold. I live in a dry climate and truck to southern California.
I would not recommend it for a semi, the water will splash everywhere and will get the cab super humid fast, small space
@@vegasromaniac Why would the water splash? I'd only be using it when I am parked and sleeping.
Did u try it?
what's the difference between the aircondioner?? will it save more from electric bill?
Ricks Jordan
Swamp coolers are designed for dry also dessert climate. The swamp cooler is actually increasing humidity in the air and using a fan to cool in the process. If you live in high humid areas swamp coolers will not work. You can only use the standard wall mounted air conditioners for that.
I like the fan going all the time. Blocks out snoring.
Okay, but the gun is pointing too close to the unit. Try halfway across the room, or just 10 feet to one side. The reading will be about 74 and higher and in the coldest setting.
When you spoke on the purified drinking water you mentioned WINCO man I miss WINCO
Winco is awsaome
Is there a plug
Thanks!
Whats the run time on the unit untill the water runs out?
12 hours, depends on how dry
In summer Connecticut is humid can I use this one?
Nope, nope nope.. Sorry
There goes our last resource (water )😂! Not everyone at once..Father Guido ! Lol
I have this unit and it keeps disconnecting the cooling system automatically and if i turn it back on it works for one minutes and then disconnects although the water is cycling and every thing looks normal however it disconnects the cooling feature automatically. do u have any tips on how to fix that?
Stuck floater on top? A good cleaning should fix that.. That little white ring is a floater in the top bowl. Mine did that for a while
does it cool down entire room ??
Is this good for weather like Florida? The building I just move the ac won't go below 74, for me this is not real AC I need cool enviroment to be able to sleep comfortably. Please advise thank you.
No absolutely not will not work in Florida.
@@vegasromaniac do you have any suggestion for a good fan that blows cool air? Can't use a regular ac or a portable unfortunately.
Just get a windows ac unit or a portable one, or even better a mini split, will cool you off instantly
@@retpaladin593 There is *not* a solution for you excluding AC (window, heat pump, mini split far preferable to portable). If you get an evaporative cooler in Florida you ARE wasting money. That's simply all there is too it. Florida is FAR TOO HUMID for an evaporative cooler.
I just watched a review on the Bonair 600 sold at homedepot , after a week the reviewer said it started to smell, referring to the water in the bucket. Did you experience any smell with this unit?
The unit needs to be serviced weekly , quick rinse and you are ready to run it again
@@vegasromaniac OK cool, were did you purchase you cooler ?
Can it be programmed to turn on at a later time
No, only to turn off after a certain amount of time
Have you experienced any leaks?
its normal leak if the surface is not flat.. tilting will cause leaking..
i am glad i saw this video. I was wanting to get frigidaire evap air cooler due to its slick design and review, but may end up getting this one. Are you still using this one, or you end up using something else? Ty. Tried your code, it didn't work.
I still have it my wife uses it as a chill fan in conjunction with the AC in Vegas heat, works great, needs cleaning every 2 weeks, she does it every 3 weeks, I always yell at her, so we r getting a divorce.. Haha
Great!
Thanks
It is going to be cool get it it cools
Yep
Can you use ice in the bucket ?
Doesn't work that way
@@vegasromaniac some of them come with ice packets
Does it create a bubbling sound from the water reservoir just like from your video even if it’s on sleep mode?
Yes the water you can hear trickling down but after a while it's a nice background noise to have. First night sounded like I forgot mu faucet in the bathroom on but than you get used to it
Do you think the NewAir Portable Evaporative Cooler Fan | EC111W will work well for me in Florida?
Noooooo, absolutely not, at best will work as good as a fan
Sorry, Florida it's to wet, I've done my honeymoon there in August, big mistake
Thank you...can you recommend or suggest one I can use in my apt?
My AC works ok..but I was just wondering if it will work to enhance the coolness of the room or living room
@@kassiepersad9398 Unless your AC brings the humidity well below 40%, you are simply wasting your time with evaporative coolers. There's no way around it.
If i put Hawaiian punch in as water will it make the room smell good?
Yes
Lmaoo
I bought this product last year and now is not recycling the water. Any idea why this is happening?
Lime/calcium deposits, or the unit is defective from being cheap. The manual (which you did read, right?) might give you cleaning instructions, but it generally boils down to running distilled water with some amount of vinegar added through the unit.
Kind of talking too much. 1. How well does it cool. 2. How does it work. 3. Then you get to noise and moving it around or whatever and how to take care of it ect. Your info is set up backwards for view length perhaps?
Thank you for the nice informative review. Does this unit really replaces the regular AC at my apartment. The power bills in Lincoln, NE for a studio are enormous. I'm thinking about buying this unit. What's your opinion?
If you have humidity in the house or outside it won't this is good for places like AZ NV Cali, Utah
I just don't understand why these things are called "swamp coolers". It seems like that would be the last place you would want to use one.
Because they use water, humidity, swamp
Because swamps are humid and it cools
Can someone please explain to me what hard water is
When water Howes thru lime Rock, it dissolves it and when it evaporates it leaves it behind as a thick crust, like salt that sticks to the walls of pipes and all kinds of equipment and it clogs it
Yeah, but does it cool a very large room
They work great until they raise the humidity in the room then evaporation and cooling virtually stop to meet the room temp and equalization takes place and you have a swamp,...pump.
That's why we have windows and doors, buddy. I'm not exactly sure how you missed the idea that swamp coolers create humidity and it needs to be vented. If you want it to work best, you need to get a window/ceiling unit, just like you would if you were trying to use one of the awful portable air conditioners.
Is it still good for high humidity areas?
Carrie Moore typically bad results if you live anywhere with >50% humidity.
no no no
how often do we need to add water?
Evry 3 to 5 days and clean it every 2 weeks from deposits
Ok thanks man
Thanks for taking this shit serious
Haha
is there light that comes out of vents?
No
It sounds exactly like the wind in the forest 😂I
terrific review. The company that made that really put some thought in its features. Very impressed.
Thanks
Hey bro,,,,I got a TC 250 2 stroke...
Awesome.. Vids?
I live in Northern Orange County(far from the beach, so very dry and hot), average temperatures are hitting around 95-100 Fahrenheit in late July, I've been using my air conditioner but is consuming way too much power and the noise makes me really find an alternative. Also I live in 2 stories, and the AC is not functional upstairs, only downstairs. I am used to having all the ventilation closed while turning the AC on(by common sense), however apparently these new types of cooling technology(evaporative), is a completely different way of cooling air so would I need to have my windows/doors open? The outside air coming in is constantly 95-100 F air so wouldn't having my windows open just be counterproductive? But people say you need some ventilation? I don't get it. So should I leave my windows closed with like cracking 1 tiny one open?
Even it is more inland doesn't mean the humidity is under 20% like Vegas.
You should open your ventilation with your AC on or the room won't cool cause the hot air can't escape. Should have an air blowing in and air exiting out of the room.
You shouldn't be trying to use this little portable cooler, or ANY portable cooler or A/C of ANY kind to cool your entire house in an environment that hot. If you want to save energy, get a window evaporative cooler. As long as your humidity is below 40%, you will be getting cool, fresh air in and you can open one or more doors/windows to allow the air pressure to escape, thus sending cool air through the house. If you're ventilating your house correctly and using a good window cooler, you WILL NOT notice heat coming in as the cooler blows so much cool air in that you can feel it blowing out through an open window or door, and it will even push doors shut.
I got the whirlpool 155cmf and it works perfect

i love these videos
Hey, you are positive about it and that's good, I got to pay the bills, I don't sell hats and thirsts and ask for patron money so there will be an odd video like this from time to time to make a couple of dollars for gas
i genuinely liked the content keeping cool is very important!
How much is it?
How about high humidity?
No, if you have 30 percent or over humidity where you live this won't work too well
for this to work, you need to have an open air room which means you must have 2 or 1 window open for it to work, The humidity must also be below 40%. If you don't then do not buy this otherwise it will make your room humid and cooling effect is non existent. It works good if you are in front of it, It was 30C one night and I was walking near a sprinkler system, It was considerably cooler walking near it, Around 10C cooler. that's the evaporative cooling effect.
Evaporative coolers work best at lower humidity but do not require the humidity to be below 40%. What made you think that? You don't own one of these, do you? And why are you using Centigrade?
@@flashcraft I've lived in a tropical country where they sell these and are essentially useless. It works best when the humidity is below 40%. I own one, used once, never again. I now live in Australia where the heat is dry. I just use the living room AC and leave my door open, much cooler effect than evaporative coolers, plus you don't feel the humidity.
Well it has to work because the evaporation process. The process will create cooler air from the fan. They suggest adding an ice drip.
Ice isn’t cheap so it litigate saving $$. If you out in the boonies you can make ice but you need a fair amount of power to do so. Alot of people’s head goes to RV ing. RV are poorly insulated and the flat roof will trasfer solar heat fast into the RV the temp in the RV can be 10 degrees warmer then the ambient air outside.
You can try running it for 8 hrs starting say 10 Am. The peak radiant warmth will peek at 4 PM at that point in time and when you would like it cool it won’t work it’ll be the same temperature without the unit you got add water every two hours. Forget going fishing or a nice hike.
The units too small, the water Reservoir is to small
The fan is too small.
For the price The long Jevity of the unit will be low the old saying you get what you pay for. So go buy on and see how quickly you’ll figure out that you just wasted $40.
I’m a power engineer what’s knowledge thermal dynamics.
Spent $200 on a larger better swamp coolers if you don’t do your homework you get what you get so been a better time doing your homework and come out was the best.
My favourite was the Honeywell CO25E
Best bang for you buck.
What if we don't want humidity

There is no "air conditioner" anywhere in this review.
This is an evaporative cooler. It WILL NOT help you if you live in a highly humid environment. If you live in a dry and hot climate, ANY evaporative cooler will help. There is a MASSIVE difference between "just a fan" and evaporative coolers. Just like air conditioning, window, ceiling and whole-home AC systems WILL be better than portable solutions. There is simply no alternative to a fresh air input to the cooler.

Would this work in Maryland?
Nope,
That's something I would like to know myself we have some nasty heat here in MD
It will work anywhere. Might not work as well in some areas but it will work some.
Nothing works in MD... Including the govt there.
Is this still working well
If you live in a dry environment than yes very good if in Florida, nooooooooo
How is water hard?
Colorado River dissolves calcium and other minerals and they deposit on filters during evaporation
Is it still working?
Yes, no problem, just need a bit oc maintenence on the filter, keep it clean otherwise bacteria will grow and clog it
How much $$$????
Nice review thanks . I think a portable air con would do far better than this. But if your environment requires for the use of this then it makes sense to get it.
Yes, a window unit even better
How is this cooler holding up? Do you think it will work in monsoon season
It's ok, the dryer it is the better it works. But I live in Vegas
"Hardest water"?? What're yall drinking? Rocks?

I particularly enjoy mine this time of the year
If your city is humid, this won't work. I live in pretty dry summers, 30% humidity all day and night so this is perfect. 50% humidity above, I would say it would work useless
Can this last during the hot summer days to keep a bed room cool?
No, you get a 5 degree drop in temp, it helps but can't replace an Ac
reduce heat, save energy.
Wanna save some power bill but use purified drinking water sold at stores to fill this thing. How many gallons does this thing consume in a month? 😆
Does it preform like a ac ?
It cools but the answer is no ban ac uses a lot more power to cool a lot more
Vegas RoManiac did it cool your room a lot ?
@@zandrick5747 yes, it does. In a room that it's a bit to hot this will bring balance, in a room that is hot hot, this will help but you need an ace
Vegas RoManiac would this cool a room if the home ac isn’t working ?
@@zandrick5747 You MUST have relative humidity below 40% for ANY evaporative cooler to work, else its pointless.
Unlike a portable air conditioner. If you don't use distilled water or treat the water. Calcium build up will be just like humidifiers. Crust yellow build up. You have to clean the machine each fill makes it easier then waiting for it to build up. Hard is bad, soft also gives calcium build up crust.
Portable air conditioners, excluding the exceedingly rare dual-hose units, are trash. They waste massive amounts of energy by pulling the air they *just* cooled out of the room. Portable evaporative coolers have a similar problem, and are best used as cooling fans. Window evaporative coolers are superior to portable ones. Window A/C is superior to that. There is not and never will be a workaround to making these kinds of things 'portable' without sacrifices. If you understand the advantages and drawbacks of each system, and where they work well, evaporative coolers can be excellent. If you don't, you waste your time and money.
@@cancelhandles I love mine, so does my daughter. My daughter has one upstairs and one downstairs. They work great. Just as cool as the window one I used to use.
