Incredible Planespotting at Innsbruck Airport! 26/01/15

Finally got here! Wanted to go filming at this spectacular airport for many years now and on January 26th 2015 I made it!
This beautiful airport is right in the heart of the Alps and is surrounded by steep hillsides in just about all directions making for some rather interesting approaches and just generally beautiful scenery for filming! Notice the calm conditions and lack of wind also meant bi-directional runway operations. Some aircraft departing/arriving to/from the west and others the east. It varied back and forth all day.
A fairly quiet day with not too much traffic around but still enough!
INCLUDES: Austrian Dash8's, Transavia 737-800, 2x EasyJet A319's, British Airways A320, Private Jets & General Aviation and a Swiss Air Ambulance CRJ! Also a few shots of some heavy traffic passing over head!
Both of the EasyJet aircraft featured I was on! The first one seen departing had bought me in from London Gatwick that morning and the one near the end seen arriving took me back to Gatwick! A fantastic day trip and definitely looking forward to my next visit. Some brilliant prices with EasyJet too! :)

I love how you were able to spot that Thai Airways in the sky and zoom in on it in incredible detail. You must have a very good video camera!
Very good video, the mountain backdrop is spectacular having flown in/out of here a few times most recently in 2013 via frankfurt then LHR , try filming here in early autumn because it's brilliant watching planes land/takeoff from the restaurant at innsbruck airport, anyway more brilliant productions please☺.

My dad lived in a house just up the hill above that airport for a few months after the end of WWII. I want to go there someday.

I have been to every EU country during my life time and Austria is by far the best.
the lanscape, the people the food and the price makes Austria number one for me destination for me, I no longer go to any of the other countrys.

+LatvianAviationGuy I flew a on a Flybe Dash 8 and we used reverse thrust pushback.
The Dash 8 is a great airplane. Very safe and needs only 3200 ft. of runway. A little noisy because it's a turboprop but has a very solid feel. (No, I'm not a pilot, just a fan)

When someone offers to train me! I'd love to believe me, but getting an offer is something else.
Unfortunately it appears to be a rather expensive process! I do not think sky miles come anywhere close!
