A lot of Disney songs were not song by the cast like Whole New World, Beauty and The Beast, Let It Go, Colors of The Wind by Vanessa Williams, You'll Be In My Heart, Can You Feel The Love, and others. They are sung by the actual singers in the mainstream. Elton John and Phil Collins wrote those songs for the movies.
Thank you. The Vivica Fox threw me off. lol Whole New World- Regina Belle & Peabo Bryson Let It Go- Idina Menzel Beauty and the Beast- Peabo Bryson & Celine Dion.
@@jadebel7006 The woman who the singer of Let It Go sings it as herself and the character in the film. Like I said? Elton and Phil wrote the songs for the movies. Yes, the cast sang them, but Elton and Phil sang the songs on the movie soundtrack albums.
The Oscar goes to the composers and lyricists, not the performers. So I think Billie Eilish and Elton John are the only people who've won for songs they've sang twice.
Those films were not colorized. That was a technique called Technicolor. It was brilliant. It was very expensive mostly used for musicals. But some studios actually did use it for dramas. So they weren’t colorized they were actually filmed that way.
