1- Ukraine is not a NATO country neither UE country. Technically, the "Allies" don't have any obligation to participate directly in the war
2- Direct participation means the activation of article 5 from NATO and Mutual defense clause of the UE
3- By providing weapons and logistics to Ukraine the EU and Nato Countries (plus Korea and Japan) allowed Ukraine to EXIST. Otherwise Russia would conquer it like we saw in the first months of war
4- Direct participation of France, Germany, UK, Korea etc, would mean World War 3 and force Russia to rely on their allies (which aren't really allies at all besides North Korea)
5- You talk about globalism but I ask you what is the only country that expanded his borders in the last 30 years??? Chechenia, Ossetia, Abecassia, Dombass???? Rings a bell???

What will happen: the western owners will lose their cheaply gained advantages, privileges and property of Ukraine. The laws allowing nacism and anti-russianizm will be cancelled. Also some big Ukrainian bosses will be taught some lesson, of course.

Civilians flee Pokrovsk as Russia’s army bears down on key Ukrainian city: Civilians with small children in their arms and lugging heavy suitcases fled from Ukraine’s eastern city of Pokrovsk on Monday, where the Russian army was bearing down fast despite a lightning Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk region. Local authorities said Russian forces were advancing so quickly that families were under orders to leave the city and other nearby towns and villages from Tuesday. Pokrovsk is one of Ukraine’s main defensive strongholds and a key logistics hub in the Donetsk region.
Its capture would compromise Ukraine’s defensive abilities and supply routes and would bring Russia closer to its stated aim of capturing the entire Donetsk region.
Russia’s relentless six-month slog across Ukraine’s Donetsk region following the capture of Avdeevka, the onslaught has gradually paid dividends as Ukrainian defenders have no choice but to pull back from positions blown to pieces by Russian artillery, missiles and bombs.
Russia wants control of all parts of Donetsk and neighboring Luhansk, which together make up the Donbas industrial region.
Officials warned last week that Russian forces were rapidly advancing and were just 10 kilometers (six miles) from the outskirts of Pokrovsk.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief, said on Monday that “heavy battles” were taking place in the Pokrovsk area.
The nearby town of Toretsk, whose capture would open the door for a Russian advance on the key stronghold of Chasiv Yar from the south, is also under heavy pressure, he said.
Russian troops have fully liberated the town of New York in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The settlement bearing a peculiar name had been turned into a major fortress by Ukraine. Capturing New York opens a path towards Toretsk, another major Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass. Both towns have been heavily fortified by the Ukrainian military ever since hostilities broke out in the region in the wake of the 2014 Western-backed Maidan coup.
This reckless Kursk gambit, more akin to a desperate stunt worthy of a second-rate actor than a seasoned statesman, diverts critical resources from the primary battlefield while offering negligible strategic gain. While the incursion has captured headlines and inflicted some measure of PR damage in Russia, such superficial victories do little to alter the fundamental dynamics of the conflict. Russia, despite this minor setback, remains a formidable military power with a vast arsenal and a nuclear deterrent. Ukraine still faces a daunting challenge in overcoming this overwhelming disparity. More critically, this diversion of forces from the main theater of the conflict is a huge strategic miscalculation. Every soldier, tank and piece of artillery deployed in the Russian incursion represents a loss to the Ukrainian effort to liberate their territories.
Instead, Ukraine finds itself embroiled in a costly and ultimately futile endeavor. While the world watches in fascination, the real battle for Ukraine’s future continues to unfold elsewhere. Zelensky’s decision to gamble on a high-stakes publicity stunt is a tragic misjudgment that may have far-reaching consequences.
To squander precious resources on a symbolic gesture is a luxury the country cannot afford.

With one correction: Russia - in fact - doesn't want "territories", which are in abundance in Russia itself. (Imagine the additional amount of hassle to "rule" those territories including rebuild, administration, etc. - take the Crimea and the Mariupol as example) Russia wants an order on these territories. And the current Ukrainian powers fails to live friendly, but sucseeds to become the enemy and to bring other "not-so-friends" to the Russian borders). The result - I guess - will be a small weak state of Ukraine on the western side of the current territory, and the rest will join Russia volunteerily by the public referendum.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.
20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO
NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter).
We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.
Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster?
Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest.
Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland.
Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed.
Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”.
Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it.
Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country.
Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list.
There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P.
The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

Full disclosure - Russians appears to only segment into two type of population areas - settlements (villages) and "gorod", which is everything larger than a village, and is commonly translated as "city". But a "faithful" English translation would use the respective word that is available in the language, which in that case would be "town". Which is why it sounded wrong to me, as my default association is with something significantly bigger than 5k. It is a similar situation in my native language, there's only village and city, but in the case of towns, the diminutive form of city is commonly used to signify that it is indeed a smaller, quieter settlement than your typical "city".

Kurakhove isnt that important on the grander scale of strategy.
Pokrovsk is the most important town/city now in the southern half of Donetsk Fronts.
Taking Pokrovsk, continue to head westward, the Kurakhove region (Marinka region) will just collapse on its own due to changing priorities of the Ukrainians to prevent Russians from entering the Dnipro region.

I just want to clarify that providing actual figures and numbers is better then just providing photos or pictures Ukrainian equipment loss, so please be more accurate instead of pulling the word Massive out your ass to exaggerate the loss of the UAF in Kursk.

Losses for either side are pretty much guesswork and always inflated by the opposition.
However in the Kursk region , we do have a lot of videos showing mass surrendering of Russian troops. We also have a video of a whole supply column being destroyed which alone would have caused large losses for Russia. However , the Russians didn't put up much of a fight overall so losses on either side are probably light. Most Ukrainian losses seem to come from ambushes but are few relative to the scale of attack.
Along the rest of the front , Ukrainians are defending and generally , the defenders take less losses than attackers , particularly when the defenders are well dug in.
