“How much money did you make”?
SRV- “none of your damn business”!!
Bro handled Stern as cool as the other side of the pillow!

Anthony Almeda What HURTS is that I was feeling that there might finally be some relief , when they gave up and announced that SRV was about to play...and then -NADA.

I'm an old dude from Texas and was blessed to have grown up in The Houston area about a hundred miles from Austin. I saw Stevie many many times before he became Stevie Ray. He was Stevie. The Kindest Human being ever . He was upmost Humle. After a show in the late 70s or very early 80s before the release of Texas Flood ,
Stevie was very easy to bullshit with before and after a show. Stevie couldn't disrespect Howard back for his assanign questions and comments because it wasn't in his nature.
He was to Kind and Humble to act in such a
Disrespectful Way. He truly was the Sweetest person you'd ever meet.
Notice how there was no disrespect toward women.
GOD meant something to Him. The drugs almost got alot of us from that Hippy period of the 60s and 70s and I was devastated when we lost Stevie. I was working on some drug issues and I was working on getting myself straightened out and Stevie was my inspiration. I miss him alot. You couldn't get access to him after the Texas Flood album but if he spotted you at a show he would look at you with that huge smile and for a while everything was right
    In GODS UNIVERSE.

Robert Clifton If I'm in the room and Howard Stern is on the radio, I have to leave. I never could stand that idiot. I'll never understand why people like the guy so much. I had more class when I was 12. Stevie Ray had more class under his little fingernail than this butthead has in his whole body. R.I.P. SRV

I have a question for you. So who did they call Ray!?? Back in that same time and area that Stevie was!?

@@c.tucker95 My mother's maiden name is Tucker and you and I share something.
Stevie was called Little Stevie or just Stevie,
But after He Smoked Albert King that famous day he first met Albert at Antone's and Clifford and Stevie were
      Afraid to ask Mr.King!
Finally Clifford asked Albert and Stevie played Albert King better than Albert King.
      After that day he became,
      Stevie Ray.

@@robertclifton9618 was there anyone named Fredrick in the bunch that they called Ray that's off the top of your head!? Would be same age as SRV same height, same hair color, same hobbies, same alot of things. Same stomping grounds as y'all. a guy named Fredrick who played gigs guitar and sang that they called ray. I dont know a last name but that is what I'm trying to find out. Is a last name. It's a long shot. But for some reason I thought I should start asking ones like you who hung out in the scene. I'm looking to find my birthfather. He was 19yrs old in 1973. And I have alot of clues and where abouts but no name(s) as far as birthfather goes. I know you are prob going to think, well good luck on that one, for everyone was flying high and getting on down through there....just thought I would throw this out there to ya in case ya might know someone just like SRV from height to hobbies to hair color to ,well, everything except first name Fredrick. I was told they even called him Ray.

Stern -"Stevie Ray Vaughan is a god too"
    SRV - "I'm just a human being"
Stern - "who taught you how to play guitar?"
SRV - "everyone I've ever listened to"

Mark Stablein : She is just stupid.
      Obviously it helps differentiate.
      Billy-Bob from Billy-Joe, etc...!
In England they solve it with Andy
Cox, Andy Hoadly. It’s just a little
      warmer.
She is also too stupid to have noticed
      any commonalities, like Slim Pickens
and Scatman Crothers. I love a little
      personality in those old timey
      names. ( Kubrick movies. )
This stuff should have occurred to
      her...if the question did.

Stevie Ray Vaughn handled this well. Howard Stern is such a condescending prick in this interview. He disgusts me. The brother is trying to play along and be nice. I’m embarrassed for Howard Stern and his laughing sidekick Robin. I would have walked the fuck out. You have the opportunity to interview a truly nice, humble man, one of the greatest guitarists ever and you just fuck with him? He was a better man than I will ever be. To emerge from what he dealt with and have such a great attitude. I would outdoor have walked out. That was pathetic. Howard lives on and Stevie left us way too soon. Thank God for Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Howard is great, and I LOVE SRV! Stevie had a sense of humor, from what I read. He didn't want to talk shit about anybody. He was a loving person, especially after he got clean. He just wasn't able to be completely honest about some of the questions Howard asked. That said, I think it was a pretty good interview. Howard played SRV's music a number of times LONG after he died. He or someone on his staff must've been a fan.

The thing about respected musicians....you don't treat them like like this by asking stupid questions. For Gods sake, it's Stevie Ray Vaughan. Have a little respect and ask him about his music not and not turn every question into sexual innuendo. Howard Stern, good at what he does but he really doesn't know a God when he's speaking to one.
