Please know that this was a "fun" video as I said at the beginning. I have other informative videos in which I discuss the a proper diet and care. Watch some of them to get a true idea of what you should be feeding you pig and what a healthy body shape is. Thank you for watching!
This is a dream! I live in Australia and have a "mini" pig. When I wake up in the morning and she hears me it's like the devil screaming or like the woman from the exorcist!! We have tried all things but now we ignore her until she stops, I get her to sit and then she's allowed out. My pig never sleeps in the day unless we cuddle on the bed. We do take her for walks on the harness and she does so well. I think there is a huge difference in behavior between pink pigs and mine who looks like pumba from the lion king. Wild boar looking. Have you had experiences with loud/screaming pigs.
Oh absolutely! Every pig I've ever met has loud screaming tantrums! Lol. Part of pig ownership :P I do agree...the different breeds do all seem to have different personality traits!
I have a cupcake potbelly pig and he has breakfast at six and gets his play pen at twelve has lunch at five and dinner is at seven lastly he takes a bath every Sunday
Aww that's amazing! My guinea pig has a stroller and a sweater to keep her warm. She also lives alone, I know it's not ideal but she absolutely HATES other pigs. We've tried... lots...
The vast majority of the toys and such I get used from places like Goodwill. They clothes are a combination of Amazon, donations and some are dog clothes.
Some are definitely more independent...Enjoy every minute of bed time cuddles :) I also find they go through a bit of a "terrible twos" stage from about 6 mths to a year ish where they do try to be a bit bossy and less likely to come running to Mom :P
This was just a "fun" video, not meant to be taken literally. Those were her treat foods, she does get pig food. In other informative videos I discuss what a well rounded diet and healthy pig look like.
There is no such thing as a "mini pig". People get scammed into thinking these pigs will stay "miniature". There are many breeders that will claim that with the proper diet they can stay at 50lbs. This is a lie in order to sell to people. The TRUTH is that the abused piglet will be purposely malnourished to almost the point of starvation in order to disrupt proper development, stunted growth being one of the horrible side effects. Many of these pigs get abandoned as they grow to 150-250 lbs. They are large animals that are commonly destructive in homes as they get bored and or stressed and NEED proper space, activities, and companionship. Without these they become highly disregulated and then people end up abandoning them. Unless you own a farm and are looking for a pig do NOT buy these animals. They are not house pets for just anybody and chances are almost certain that you will end up abandoning them. Do not support this scam industry that put out a lot of misinformation in order to profit and please do not support the vile mistreatment and outright abuse of animals.
I want a pig so bad! Where do I get them though? There is nothing around me that sells pigs. I am totally becoming vegetarian when i am older but idk if i should be vegan too. I am planning on having kids and idk how that will effect them...
honeslty it takes a special person if you are still ij school dont get a pig i made that mistake and now my pig is vert anti social pigs end up like this when they are taken everywhere and are with peoole 24/7 mypig also chewed upmy walls
I have a 6 7 ish hour school day will it be okay to leave ma pig at home and just socialize in the morning when O get back and when I'm not at school would that be adequate social interaction
For school schedules, I generally recommend not getting a pig until you have a lengthy break, that way you're around more often in the very start when bonding is crucial. Beyond that, they generally do not object to sleeping the day away and getting attention morning/evening hours! Of course, if you have friends/family around as well that's helpful!
@@AdriRachelle my mam stays in most of the time so would you recommend getting one during the summer so I can bond with it but after my 6 week holiday will the mornings and evenings and nights be enough for his mental health to be safe
This is not a rude comment.. please don’t think that. But, do you think she’s getting enough food throughout the day? Veggies/ fruit aren’t very filling..
How do you get your mini pigs to ride in the stroller? I want to go on walks with my mini pig soo bad! I want to go on walks and want to bring him with me so he’s not home alone so long (I work 8hr days). When I put him in the wagon he screams and jumps out every time. He just wants to stand in the grass and eat. Lol which means no walking for me. I can kinda get him to walk a little but not far. Please help!
I like that my stroller can be completely zipped up - so they can't jump out. I also use a harness that I link to the inside of the stroller to make extra sure there's no escapes. I offer a little treat now and then when they're in it for any length of time to motivate them to stay IN the bed and not miss out on treats!

Adri Rachelle Okay thank you very much. Is there a video that you have on showing how to discipline your pig? Or how to show them what they did was wrong? 😂
I noticed you have wood floors and your piggy didn't seem to have trouble walking on them. Is that something they would get used to if they start young or are there any type of solutions for that? I have a 6 week old little guy, I am going to a few rugs to put around for him since I've read about them slipping around and then saw it for myself. He doesn't do too bad, but I see the difficulty he has. What would you suggest to either help or completely avoid his slipping around other than or in addition to rugs? Do you have a video you could direct me to about any info on that? Thank you. - Iggy's mommy
Iggy is very young. He doesn’t require much space at that age. It would be best to keep him confined to a small area. I have several videos about the care and concerns of new pigs. Check this one for starters. m.ua-cam.com/video/aOBlL8H2BpA/v-deo.html. Hope that helps. And yes, they do get used to walking in floors, wood or otherwise. Your baby is just very young.
Has she always had the dark colored ears? My pot belly is getting that and looking a lot dirtier than my other pbp. I read it could be a bacterial infection or "greasy pig disease" Do you have any info on this?
Hers comes and goes, and it's far more prevalent/noticeable on the predominantly pink ones. It can be a normal build up of dirt and oils from the skin (she gets coconut oil and conditioner on her skin almost daily as well..which does tend to cause more guck to stick) OR it can be caused by mites or another illness. When in doubt, check with a vet!
I always strongly suggest waiting until they're at least 8 weeks old. Anyone willing to separate them sooner should be in jail for endangering their lives, in my opinion. They're only trying to make money and be rid of the babies sooner - regardless of if it is good for the piglet or not.
Plz answer if u can, Do pigs smell? All creatures smell but do they smell REALLY bad? Why am i asking this i will get a pig no matter what lol so cuuuuuute
