GT-GT4 have to be my favorite games from an era of gaming where there weren't micro transactions, Pay to Play DLC cars and tracks, and everything could be unlocked just by playing the game... o7 fairwell to that gaming era... You'll be missed greatly..
@@LITTLE1994 For me personally, GT2 and GT4 are the best of the GT games. 1 and 3 were awesome, but 2 had so many amazing cars that never returned to the franchise for years. GT4 felt like an Upgraded GT2 imho.
You know this game was your childhood when 27:18 just makes your face glow.. I used to spend at least 5 minutes in Arcade Mode selection just to hear it even if I wanted to play GT Mode.
Oh god I played this game back in 2002 when I was 4. Still have the game and PS2. Still works. I might go back to this game now. TBH a great Gran Turismo game with so much to do. It's because of this game that racing games will always have a place in my heart.
IsaiasSoldier2 I was born in 2003, yet my heart still bursts listening to this. I played when I was 5, and ended up throwing my remote into the brand new tv. I’ve been playing this again recently, and it is so worth it. This and FM1 were the racing games I started on. Still a Forza fan though.
32:18 reminds me of the very beginning of the "Professional Leage Gran Turismo All Stars" HOPING to get the "Nissan R390 GT1" or "Toyota GT-ONE TS020" for my prize car :) good memories!
I played the hell out of this game as a kid, and yet I don't recognise any of the first 6 songs, though they sound sick. From Slipstream until An Endless Journey, it's pure nostalgia. Wonder why I don't recognise the rest.
This is the only game which has the complete race OST intact. The other games have the entire race OST almost or completely replaced. So much tracks in GT Sport are terrible... 07:21 This is awesome! One of my favorites! Thank god they kept this in the European version!
I would like to add on to the neostalgia train and say that their censorship was very good, they reversed part of Motley Crue's song to keep us from hearing the "A" word.
My version is slightly different, some of those are there and some are not, and some sound a little different. Are there soundtrack differences between palm and ntsc versions?
As far as I know, all the regions have the same menu soundtrack; however, some of the songs sound a little different than the ones you hear in-game and those versions are only present in this album.
I think the song in the beginning is different in every country :o I remember playing it years ago and it had another song, then a few months ago I played it again on an emulator and it had a different song than this and my old one.
+Yukuru Wusky I remember the one I played had the beginning of the first one in the opening video with the Toyota Supra, and then once it's about to leave the pit it changes into Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way.
hey there. can anyone tell me if these artists have full albums of songs that sound like this? i would love to further explore this jazz fusion MELLOW sound but can never find the full albums. thanks in advance!
The Gran Tursimo OSTs are songs created by the composers under SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment). Not songs owned by other studios by other artists. Sony is and has always been its own industrial brand of electronics, music and video games.
Lazer 22 Well, it has to do with framerate. I get anywhere between 30 and 120, depending on what's going on onscreen at the time. Now, I do not at all mind the frames dropping to thirty. However, for some reason, whenever the frames even hit 59, I get this really weird, obvious slow motion. It was highly apparent on Ace Combat 04, when the opening intro was played very slowly, and the music in the background was slowed and kinda terrifying, lol. Tl;dr, I don't expect to stay safely above 60 at all times, so how do I turn off this odd slomo feature?
Stephen Butler Hmmm... that is definitely odd, but it seems to be caused by either your hardware or it's own system limitations, try checking out the options list and see if the framerate limiter is on, among other options, also what system are you running this on?
27:18 is freaking just a shot of nostalgia.
Damn nostalgia is wayyyy strong
Y E S ! ! !
Shit is BUSSIN
This shit go hard on a spiritual level
Wrrryyyyyyyy
27:18 = hell yea new car! (after four straight hours of pushing x and square....left and right)
I dig that.
:')
27:18 duuuuude, i stuck around in the car selection screen just for that song. i fucking love it
+Fives ARC Haha, I actually let my TV on with the game playing it just for the sake of it. :') Hell if I knew I'd be listening it on YT today.
style, pure style...
This shit gave me goosebumps. Good old times!
I would stay in the Arcade Mode menu for it
I remember this I was 12 years old playing with my brothers can't beat those days.
All I can remember is happily paying to replace oil in a gran turismo game
And the car washes!
HP: +5
Lol its crazy how we all individually knew this, no Internet or forums reddit ect....
And getting some bonus Horsepower from it!!!
I love light velocity, it brings back memories
'Light Velocity' is amazing

Make me feel old talking about the good old days when games were built by craftsmen who were just as big a fan as the players.
Oh man what a time to be a Gamer.
Yeah, the first four were the peak.

29:36 best license song of all GT series
also the hardest
Maybe, GT2 licenses were hard too
yeah both were hard and just wants us to keep clicking that try again button
But I did Gold in every license in all Gran Turismos from GT1 to GT6 ;)
The pans are completely fucking raping my brain
27:20 one of the most memorable songs i've heard when i was 5 years old.
Glowl, Strike Breaker, and Sky Scarper are so fun to listen when racing in the hardest races, especially the infamous GT Formula 1 Championship.
Light velocity is just so good! Those beats are out of this world!!
You know this game was your childhood when 27:18 just makes your face glow.. I used to spend at least 5 minutes in Arcade Mode selection just to hear it even if I wanted to play GT Mode.
I remember my mom putting it on arcade mode for me because I started playing gt3 before I could read
"Not a bad approach" reminds me of when I had just completed an endurance race and unlocking the new car. I love that game so much
Brings everyone's childhood back it seems.... same here. Btw the theme song always got me pumped to play this game when i was 9

I think that came out after 9/11.
27:18 is iconic the memories of almost 10 years go.
isnt it even older?
isnt it even older?
it's from 2001 so it was in development in 2000 (I think)
i was just speaking from memory. i feel it was almost 10 yrs ago.
I know. 2007 was almost 10 years ago 😰

This is the best soundtrack out of them all.
GT 5 comes in at a close second.
The original GT ST's from 1997 were good too TBF.

turns out to be a honda s2000 spoon race car ;)
i played this game when i 7 years ago. this game is the best Gran Turismo ever.
gotta love the classic soundtrack of gran turismo
I played the American version of GT3, with a lot of these songs mixed in with some other artists. Damn, the nostalgia is real.
The only different song is Moon Over the Castle, and I think Obscure.
The rest are in menus or replays, but with different mixing and instrumentation.
I played the hell out of this game as a kid, and yet I don't recognise any of the first 6 songs, though they sound sick. From Slipstream until An Endless Journey, it's pure nostalgia. Wonder why I don't recognise the rest.
That's mostly because they are ingame soundtracks, like when you're racing. Maybe that's why you don't recall :D
I think it’s because it might be the American ost and you had a japanese version?
Love this version the most.
Skyscraper was my favorite as a kid and honestly is still a banger 🔥

I could stay in the car dealer for hours.
fuckin aye!
Seb that’s not wack bro
Woow. Why does nostalgia make you want to cry?
brings back those memories of those pictures of cars in the dealer.
Those Daiki Kasho tracks are hype!
I LOVE THIS GAME CHILDHOOD MEMORIES WITH MY DAD

I just wish I could find the GT3 NA remix version of Are You Gonna Go My Way anywhere besides the NA intro on UA-cam.

i was like - UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
How about 99 red balloons
Is the blue cover some bonus game? I thought it was the other way around. That A-Spec is the expansion and the blue one is the base game.
The blue one comes after GT3 A-Spec. It's a spin-off where you can drive concept cars and what not.
Mike Wright Inverted could be that explain
Wish they would make GT for PC
Mostly no, cuz Polyphony Digital is actually a part of Sony Computer entertainment, which develop Playstations.
