Hi Johanna, I do agree with you about Teriaq. I couldn't live without this one now I own it, despite the divided opinion it brings. Real good top 5, by the way! 💯❣
You look stunning! I agree 💯, I want to buy a perfume and wear it immediately. I don't want to wait, so I agree, it's the downside, but that said, I also agree 100% Nebras. It was amazing on 1st spray and I wore the hell out of it last fall/winter. Now, my bottle is a year old and it's even better. Lasts for days. It's alluring, cozy, yet somehow classy. I get compliments like crazy and I have a back up bottle. 2. Teriaq - same experience and i get the same as you, it's amazing and lasts forever. Musamam/qahwha/and liam didn't work for me. I loved them, but on all of them all my skin pulled were spices. If I sprayed on a card or paper I loved them, on me didn't work and made me sad. Love your videos!
Very informative and well-presented, thank you! Your top 5 on Afnan, please - I am wearing Tapis Rouge right now and surprised at how really good this one is.
Great video, Joanna! I don't know Liam, but I own the rest of the perfumes from your list and I adore them! Musamam white intense is also, in my opinion, the best perfume from Lattafa, and I've tried quite a few already!
You look amazing as usual. I'm glad you brought that up about maceration I never understood it. Soon as I get it I spray it. It has stayed the same I don't wait for months. I never seen any difference
Musamam White is so gorgeous and simply perfect for all seasons. However I think it shines best in the summer whereas in the winter I find the ambroxan more dominant. I have been planning to wear this today since we have some sunshine and I can’t wait!
@@malenahernandez9377 No idea sorry. I’m very interested in trying Liam sometime and tempted to blind buy but won’t because I get overwhelmed from having too many full bottles
Musamam white is my favorite as well, then Al Jayeb Dubau followed by Khamra qawa and OG Khanra. I have not tried Liam and Nebras plus planning to but next time. For whatever reason I cant seem to like Teriaq, hopefully will be better x
Great video. Love your fragrance choices. I have three of the five fragrances you mentioned. I may try the Liam Grey fragrance. The Musamum White fragrance i can't get past the snake on the bottle. Thanks sharing your fragrance list.
The thing about maceration is that people take it for granted that they will have the time to wait for it to become good or better. Sure, I'm being a bit dramatic but you just don't know. Also, you're letting brands know you're willing to gamble on it improving. Also, everyone doesn't want to or can afford to pick up a fragrance they aren't getting the best out of right now. I prefer good out of the box. Smells great and lasts 6 to 8 hours. Any improvement after that is a bonus. And you're right, everyday normal people are going to want the use it now picks. I'm a part of the fragrance community so my collection is larger than the regular person but I appreciate reviews like yours a lot. I have enough to let them macerate but that's not the mark of a good perfume, imo.
Thanks Joanna! I agree with you on maceration. But the 2 I own were great at 1st sniff - Khair Pistachio & Khamrah. And I want Nebras. Looking forward to your next Top 5 ME video!
Hi Joanna! I can't say I have ever gotten a gasoline smell from a ME fragrance. The only burnt tire smell I had was from Lattafa's Badee Al Oud Amethyst. 😬 To my nose, the ME fragrances smell perhaps not quite as potent at first. They haven't quite reached their full potential. But I'll still wear those fragrances right away. I KNEW Mussamam would be your number one.😂 For my list, I would swap out Liam with Nasheet. Goodness, I love this fragrance. Supposedly an Ani dupe. Sort of...same vibe, perhaps. But that green vanilla dry down is sooo beautiful. I also think Al Aswaaf is an underappreciated gem. It's similar to Spicebomb and not for the faint of heart 😊
Great picks! I have all of these, with Musamam White coming to me on Monday. It’s finally back in stock here in Canada. Liam Gray is a standout. So good! I’m going to try layering Musamam White with Liam Gray. I think it will be beautiful! But we will see 😂
Hi Joanna! I always wanted to try Liam but I read a lot of comments that say that even if it's unissex, it still leans too masculine. Is it true? And you're totally right, Musamam is soooo special. Another Lattafa that I absolutely love is Ajayeb Dubai Portrait. It gets better and better!
What a great video ! Definitely you and Paulina are the best reviewers when it comes to middle eastern fragrances. I am waiting for “the top five” of Armaf, Alharamain, Swiss Arabian….
It is amazing how human's Tastes are sooo diverse. I bought nebras , wore it 4times and I gave it away because I cant like it . But khamrah qahwa and teriaq are bangeeeerr🎉🎉🎉🎉
Omg... I thought i was the only who thought like that. I never till today understood why people go crazy about Nebras. It smells like medicine to me than cacao.. i dont know why?. I LOVE Liam grey, it's one of the most used perfumes of my collection. Musamam is also great, but a bit too sweet for me. I didn't care for Nebras, all I could smell was mint. Teriaq and Khamra Quahwa are stil on the to-try list.
I find most perfimes need to settle after fisrt opening. Especially when delivered in the mail. But usually if i don' t like something at first sniff maceration won't really change my opinion.
I have to agree about so called "maceration". I think the correct term is actually "maturation" but everyone says "maceration" in the fragrance community. I have sent back two Middle Eastern perfumes because one had no smell at all and the other, Shaghaf Oud Tonka, smelled terrible and I was not in the mood to wait till they matured to smell good or smell at all. I understand they may need time to get better but they better be good and wearable in the meantime is all I ask. Thank you for your thoughts Joanna! oxJulia
I think maceration is quite important especially for Middle Eastern fragrances not because they are very light or longevity is not good. It is because they are selling like hotcakes, the fragrances you buy are manufactured very recently. You'll probably have gotten a fresh batch hence a light scent. I personally try it - spray about 6 times and rest it for 2weeks or more & it gets stronger right after that. Or put it in the fridge for a few days to speed up the maceration. You can still use it while macerating.
@@lotsskinglow No, I'm not going to wait more than one or two weeks if a perfume has zero smell at all. There was no scent, confirmed by my daughters who have very good noses as well. I am familiar with that routine and I do not feel it should be necessary to have to wait weeks to smell a perfume when lots of Middle Eastern perfumes and all other perfumes I have in my collection smelled nice from the first spray. The ones that are very cheap are full of aroma chemicals I do not want on my skin in the first place, so now I know :o). That's just my opinion on the "maceration" trend.

Hey Joanna 👋🏻 I’m ok with maceration if the price is right. I have a big ME collection now, and I think I was happy with nearly all of them within 1 week of opening…not sure that any of them have changed a ton. I also love Terriaq 🤎🩶🩷 MWI is an easy reach for me. I’m waiting for a sample of Lattafa Peace & Love to be delivered. Have you gotten your nose on that one yet?
I must be the only one alive that is NOT a fan of Musamam White Intense 🫣 It’s just very weird smelling, not modern, the weirdest mixture of notes … I even went and resprayed it on my Wrist …. Ugh, just no no no NO!! To me the notes do not jive at all. Will be attempting to sell it. Unfortunate, bc I really love the bottle 🫤 I have a sample of Liam Grey. It’s meh, nothing special. Nebras I literally gave away , o liked the smell but the lasting power was abysmal 👎🏻 Have a sample of Qahwa- it’s nice , but I love Khamrah anyway, that goes without saying . Ugh, i keep Smelling Musamam and gagging 🤮
You are not the only one!! I have tried and tried to like it because everyone talks about how beautiful it is but I find it just awful 😢 and need to sell it. 🤢
Same unfortunately, I'm selling Liam after 1 month, i wore it once and it's so meh for me, also, too masculine... Musamam feels so boring, not bad but i wouldn't buy a full bottle, i have a decant. Other perfumes i did not like are Rave now women and opulent musk . While rave does smell like Burberry her elixir, i found i didn't like that at all either(a bit too late) 😅 and opulent musk's drydown is just too weird and strong for me...

I must be the only one alive that is NOT a fan of Musamam White Intense 🫣
It’s just very weird smelling, not modern, the weirdest mixture of notes …
I even went and resprayed it on my
Wrist …. Ugh, just no no no NO!!
To me the notes do not jive at all.
Will be attempting to sell it.
Unfortunate, bc I really love the bottle 🫤
I have a sample of Liam Grey.
It’s meh, nothing special.
Nebras I literally gave away , o liked the smell but the lasting power was abysmal 👎🏻
Have a sample of Qahwa- it’s nice , but I love Khamrah anyway, that goes without saying .
Ugh, i keep
Smelling Musamam and gagging
🤮
Oh well if it didn’t work out for you then it’s not for you 😉
You are not the only one!! I have tried and tried to like it because everyone talks about how beautiful it is but I find it just awful 😢 and need to sell it. 🤢
Thanks: amazing video ❤! Please do a top 5 for Khadlaj, Paris Corner & Fragrance World❤❤❤
Top 5 for me:
1. Tharwah Gold
2. Angham
3. Rave Now
4. Mocha Woods
5. Modest Deux
