And also, based on how quickly the universe is expanding according to nasa, they might need "New laws of physics" which means we're on the flat universe theories path, if flat is the infinitely expanding one, but that depends on if Nasa's data is correct.

Given a few years, someone will come up with the theory that there is a disco ball in the sky. And then they will test it. Then they will realize it is true. Its not some insane conspiracy, its actually what happened. Then people will try to figure out why. And since there is always a why, a before, people will come up with theories, and one of them will actually be plausible. Then they refine it, and if you, from this universe, listen to the theory, it will be completely insane, since there isnt a disco ball in space, but it will make sense, and you will realize it could have happened. And as far as they know, it did happen, millions of years ago when the planet formed. When in reality, the truth is that our universe wanted to know what would happen, so they made the moon a disco ball. This does not happen in our universe. Imaginary scenarios don't exist, there is only the scenario where the big bang happened and every effect has a cause. This is why we can trust science. Because we aren't a theoretical scenario made real. We can't be.
as the moon got closer tides and the sea level would rise then the moon would be pushed away (reverse affect) as the Moon got farther away it would be pulled back to the earth and the process would repeat.
