Comparing Minecraft Optimization Modpacks to Find The Best. This is a NEW Minecraft 1.21 video. In this video, I am going to compare 4 Minecraft performance/optimization Modpacks. All Modpacks try to achieve the same thing. They try to make your Minecraft run better, with more FPS and generally more optimized. But which pack provides the best performance? Today, I am comparing 4 optimization Modpacks. All for Fabric and Minecraft 1.21. Default settings, so not tweaking. Let's see which pack is the best. It's very epic, fun, amazing and poggers! This will make playing Minecraft insane and amazing! Your players will absolutely love it! I had lots of laughs and fun. Hopefully, you'll get some useful information from this video. I love Minecraft fun!

Love that he was willing to change v-sycn and under lock the frames on sodium plus but not change the render distance from 32 down to 12 like all the others were running. but out of the box is it shouldn't be set at 32 that is bad on the mod makes.
it isnt set to 32 by default
@@JashXD Well, clearly this video was to promote the modpack itself and say that the others are inferior.
What if I download all of them at once?
@@Raheem-fun-facts It won't make any difference, most of the mods will be replaced by the version of the other modpack and those few that don't repeat themselves will stay there, it won't make practically any difference.
Correction: When using the F3 menu to see FPS you actually lose some FPS so it's better to use a 3rd-party application to check the FPS! Also when chaging the GUI scale to something higher it actually increases the FPS, and if fullscreen is on then you lose some FPS! I hope you do a part 2 explaining this and maybe re-doing the test!
EDIT: My orginal comment was me saying you should make your own modpack but then I see you did so yeah 😅 I just putting my second thought that was a video correction!
In my case full screen mode increases 25 fps
@@ahsan20067-g full screen should increase the fps but small window (something like 50% of the screen) is even better
@@AAdielperetz 50% screen maybe increase the fps but it reduce the experience
@@ahsan20067-g right
Windows actually has a tool that shows fps, press windows key + G key and you will see some helpful tools, but there's a preference tool, pin it so it show when you close the menu and but it somewhere in the screen
F3 actually kills FPS a lot, so I'd recommend testing these mods on your own using a mod like FPS Display or Sodium's builtin FPS display. Also, set your settings to the ones you use in each modpack you test. Great video Kasai!
no? I have it on right now, says 2230 fps, turned it off, still says 2230 fps
i think that's sodium extra, not sodium
@@pI4yr You might be right, not sure
Ye cause Minecraft is bad and renders the f3 menu at max fps, even though f3 menu only updates like every second lol
At least from my limited knowledge idk
@@SethXB it does, but i think gui scale might have an affect on it too
I used preformium on the steam deck, and I went from 80 fps to a stable 600 fps with a max of 900.
Amazing to hear mate!
Hi, I actually use fabulously optimized with some extras I added
is it the best one
@@pngtuan If you want shaders and extra features, not just optimization then yes
Fabulously optimized = optimization with shaders.
Simply optimized = purely optimization without shaders.
@@Random_MCrafter What extras do you have??
@@zzyy1934 It supports Optifine features like dynamic lighting, animated textures, zoom, custom models, shaders, cape...
I understand why you wanted to compare these modpacks using the default settings since a lot of people don't bother changing the settings. However, it's definitely unfair not to set the view distance and simulation distances to the same values. I bet if every setting were the same, the FPS difference would be a lot less. Also, not every optimization mod focuses solely on improving world generation speed or culling stuff out of the player's view. Some of them improve particle rendering, entity rendering, mob ai and redstone mechanics. Some modpacks might provide more stable overall FPS while actually playing the game. There is no meaningful difference between 1000fps and 1100fps. Lastly, the F3 menu significantly reduces FPS and is not a reliable way to check your FPS.
Of course, if every settings were the same, the FPS difference would be a lot less. A big part of an optimization Modpack, is the settings though. A lot of optimization packs are using the same mods. What makes them different, is the different configuration of the developer. That's what inspired the video. But I get your point and I'll keep them in mind for a future, maybe more in-depth comparison. Where this were just a casual feature overview and FPS check
I have M1 Macbook Air 2020 base model. I tested the latest Performium on default settings without any background apps running. I got max 450 fps, avg 350 fps... I get the same amount with my own combination with only 13 mods. Just wanted to say this for someone having M1 macbook Air like me. I won't be using Performium, cause my own combination work the same. FYI: Minecraft was running on latest native Arm version with Java 21 Arm version.
@@Khiladi-12911 WHATS YOUR COMBOINATION PLEASE?? I’m a content creator who plays on a m3 Mac and get nowhere near that
@@EvanOM1ghtyy i am not the same guy but i use sodium, indium, badoptimisation (that is the name lol), clumps, enhancedblockentities, entity culling, c2me, ferritcore, fps reducer (this optimises the cpu and gpu use so it doesnt have frame drops), immediately fast, lithium, (i am windows btw so some mods might not work) hope that helped :D
@@EvanOM1ghtyy the main issue is game resolution on Mac, if you have Sodium installed go to Video Settings and press Shift + P. You'll see an option to change the resolution, find whatever the native resolution for a Mac M3 is from the internet and change it to that + make sure Fullscreen is enabled in the game's settings otherwise it won't change the resolution
thank you bro I have the same laptop and have been looking for the best peformance mods for the past month
what 13 mods do you use?
Didn't expect Performium to have these epic numbers! Izen did a brilliant work and perfectly surpassed the most famous ones out there. Great video!
He didn't use the f3 menu so ofc he has more fps
@@F1nley_X actually Performium is great, and kasai didn't know that the f3 menu takes that much fps
My only question is why the fps is around 200-300 when he joins the world and only goes up After a cut in the video
@@leafee9611 the fps goes up if after a while of loading the world, also why would you suspect that he is lying? There's literally no reason for this at all, you can literally just test the modpack at any time you want
@@ali_the_grass_block Never said I thought he was lying, he isn't if you ask me. I was just wondering about that lmao
5:57 wonder what are you trying to tell us by using this seed
👀👀👀
quick heads up. the f3 menue takes up to 60% of the performance fro the game so using the show fps feature from ur own modpack helps keep the fps high. this is not a complaint simply information to help u understand defrences
gui scale can impact framerate actually
pretty heavily too, the gui in minecraft is extremely unoptimized.
really?
@@JFenixGG yeah. the smaller your gui scale, the higher your framerate.
Thanks for making a video on this Kasai. I love you ❤
I love you too for the frames lol! You are an amazing developee with hidden abilities! ❤
Much love back mate!
Good video, wish the ad was reviewed more neutrally though
you use the first 2 with d3 open and that make a 200 - 450 fps different
If there are typos in my sentences, just note I’m I am using dictation right now since right now my hands are caught up with a few projects. I’m working on and I can’t type things into places at once so these are one of my options.
added most of the mods from the modpacks and am now went from 40fps to 200fps (i have 300 mods or so on it w/ shaders)
performium is fire! ideas: consider adding some more qol mods like gamma utils and better statistics
I demand another video using something like msi afterburner for the fps instead of the f3 screen or some mod
This video was amazing
I am about to try out your optimization mod
So i hope it fixes my average 45 fps
Imo I use Additive but only because I like the OptiFine extra features
No joke I was just comparing different mod packs the day this video came out
Bro You are the best foreign minecraft tutorial youtuber I've ever seen
WOW GOOD AD xD
for you're new modpack :)
smart play
I just compared it, the Modpack promoted itself xD
@@KasaiSora it WORKED THO almost 900 downloads :O
i wish adrenaline and additive were in this list, i've been using additive for so long now and i always got super stable performance
i used performium
went from 240 fos in windows mod to 240 fs in fullscreen with xtra features
THANKYOU
9:54 look at these trees bro ;-;
Indeed, thanks for pointing that out. I'll work on them in the future to make them look better.
@@maybeizen thanks
Hey Kasai! I own and manage my own optimization + QOL modpack, and if you are planning on doing a follow-up video on your optimization modpacks, i think you might be surprised. On my computer, it gets upward of 2.5K fps +, with the other modpacks only getting about 2K. The only difference is that mine comes with 40 mods, compared to the average 20. If you are interested, let me know!
+1
What’s your mod pack?
@@sonicthomasgamer CornCobs BareBones, on modrinth
W video kasai.
Can make a video about Fabric VS Paper for Servers, paper is optimized but fabric has a lot of optimization mods... another question, do Paper x Fabric exists?
Thanks man, i'll download all optimization mods from that modpacks to improve my XD
Unfortunately i can't use NVIDIUM, bcs i have AMD card (RX 6800 16GB VRAM) and i rly regret it in this things.
But hey, AMD has the best recording tool and drivers I've ever seen, and I love it. It's AMD Adrenalin and ( obviously) it's primarily a driver for the AMD card, secondarily a View Tool for the whole system and any games you have, and thirdly, a recorder.
When testing optimization mod packs i always set render, simulation and shadow distance to 12 and make ever setting equal to the other modpacks
yeah... the reason its so high is because the f3 menu lowers ur fps while just having the fps showing gives u more
Nvidium does heavy lifting for Simply Optimized 💪
This guys underrated
The f3 meniu eats your fps and the last mod was swt by default to 32 chuncks for both render and shadow distance which puo it at a dissadvantage compaired to the other modpacks that wore running 13 chuncks
Performium is absolutely awesome!! I just tried it!
Great to hear!
I noticed that Fabulously Optimized modpack uses the cpu less compared to the first one. I guess the 2nd one provides less heating which is good for long sessions.
Seems like I found A new fav modpack, Great Job On Making Performium. I Will use that with a some extra tweeks :)
9:03 wow didn't know that was a thing
Yeah it's really cool! I made a full video about it on my channel too!

what about remarkably optimized? (its made by a youtuber, and you cant find it in modrinth)
also would be nice if you compare performium with remarkably optimized since i get 1.2k fps easily with it
WOAH. If you can get 1,300 with Performium, then I wonder what it's like with Nvidium... I might have to try it out xD
i am installing all of them and i will put all in one
7:58 Performium
I do got me a good pc. 1400+ fps with only sodium on the f3 screen with default settings
Wow!!! I was Getting 60 stable fps with “YOUR MODPACK (PERFORMIUM) IM GETTING 90-160 Fps 200% Recomended!”
Letsgoo incredible to hear!
Sodium + got low fps because the render distance and shadow distance at 32 Chunks and 12 chunks on simulation distance. might try sodium + to see how much fps I can get though
one time when i had a super large modpack my fps was 80 when standing and 60 when walking, 30 when running and with elytra 2 fps. I installed sodium and sodium extra and i had 1600 fps but i had large frame drops so i installed bare bones and i didn't have frame drops anymore

@@corrupted_waves because he is lying
You should turn on fps show in the settings so that you dont need to open f3 because f3 eats much fps
Is it possible to use a performance modpack, then use another modpack?
Bro, Performium is insane. It just boosted up to 1000 Fps. Thanks a lot!😉
hmm can u make ur modpack for 1.20.1 bcz its the most used version for pvp and smp players (aka the players that want more fps for better gameplay)😊😊 nice vid BTW
For me in the future. USE THIS 7:59
bros pc is too good
Performium is an amazing mod. I used it and it was amazing
Whats the difference between performium and simply smoother? They seem just copy pasted with a few text changes here and there

@@maybeizen Which one do you think is better for performance?
@@Ndrici Performium 100%
@@maybeizen does nvidium work with it
Bro simply optimized is using more gpu then fabulously optimized
Simple lunar +FO-some mods(the ones that dont work on lunar it is like 3 un important once)
i have been using simply optimized for almost 3years now i don't have a bad laptop at all i used to have a 3070 laptop now i have a 4090 i used this pack so i could get 240fps with his my monitors refresh rate with shaders cuz sadly normal Minecraft cant run shaders on a 4090 laptop at that the most u will get is 160 an with simply optimized i could get up to 200/300 when standing still an close to 200 when moving around an i thought that that was good enough for me but now this new mod pack i was blown away as its simple an works an i get over 300 fps with shaders well enough for my monitor with it Ur mod really did a great job
you forgot to make a chapter for sodium plus
Kasai : 50 fps difference is nothing.
Le me: sitting on 50 fps with all the 180 mods installed
