As you can see on around 8:13 it does roll out from your table. Make that wooden disc part a bit bigger (surface stability for better referencing) and oval, or hexagonal, roll-proof. So it;s nort going to roll off your table and do0wn to floor anymore. Second, not quite sure what the rod is from. I'm using upcycled rods from old printer (precise and hard), or precise grinded rods sometimes called "silverware" in here. They're obviously not from silver, but silver-like shiny hardened steel rods grinded to precise size. I do not need like 0.01 precision but hard rod is better for some guiding or depth gauge rods. Otherwise very nice marking gauge project.
Hallo Richard, ich habe eine 3-4 cm lange Gewindeschraube mit Senkkopf am Tellerschleifer so lange geschliffen, bis eine scharfe Kante am Senkkopf entstanden ist. Anschließend hab ich die Schraube in das Aluminiumröhrchen eingeklebt. Es ist kein sich drehendes Rädchen, es ritzt nur! Funktioniert ausgezeichnet! LG, Mela
