Forgot to mention I tried compiling the OS on my laptop (using the exact same make and code from the repo) and it resulted in an iso image that was half the size of compiling on my desktop. I have no idea why but decided to add it to the repo cuz why not. Happy Halloween :)

The tags approach to files is something that I wanted to have in my life but just genuinely feared to sit and do with classic hierarchical file system. It should be simple, just create a special folder for symbolic links, but then if you move file in real path it's gonna break. Hard links fix that, but then you should also not forget that you should delete all the links to the inode, and it will not work across different device FS either. Also naming is a big "how", because hashes can be too costly (in battery time and in patience) to generate and you'll need to change them each time you change it by one byte. UUIDs are just same uninformative crap as inode, except that plain inode is just better because you can just see that file is the same by just reading the directory without executing `stat` on all of them each time.

great video, also -ı recommend getting a community server or smth like that (discord server or matrix or etc), ı can make one but you kinda have to be there as well (to both moderate and answer the questions and all) ıd strongly recommend a Discord server (it is easier in every way and also is a standard at this point) but you said that you didn't like Discord so what should we use? - and does your kernel use microcodes as well? if yes, how are they implemented in your kernel also thanks in advance for the answer and sorry if my sentences are a bit weird, I'm very sleepy (in fact ı can't even do basic math correctly) and my brain barely works lol
1.) I don't like discord and I don't have the interest/time to moderate a server or even be on there for significant amounts of time. If I were to do some community oriented thing it would probably be some forum or platform where I can spend 15 minutes looking over and responding to text posts, like a comment section. Regardless, I'll let people know if I get something like that started. 2.) No. My kernel is made to run on older processors such as that of the 386 or 486, which, as far as I know, don't have patchable microcode. Even considering the OS running on newer CPUs, I don't really see a need to offer microcode patches. (Not sure what you mean by "implemented", as far as my understanding of microcode it is something made by the CPU guys and patched/updated by people who write firmware/kernels, correct me if I'm wrong tho I'm not a hardware guy lol.) hope this answers your questions
that backwards notation of tag command 🤮 what if i want to do something like : tag Tadakichi-san img dog best_boy 🐶 all at once? i can't even comprehend how someone would imagine to do it the other way as the default except "to be different"
The command works like this: "tag (tag name) (file1) (file2) ... (file[n])", this way you can tag multiple files at once. Which case seems more likely and more convenient to do in a single command? Needing to apply the same tag to multiple files, or needing to apply multiple tags to the same file? (in a system where there is an 8 tag maximum) You won't need to do the latter until you already have a bunch of files with tags. The former is better because the more hyperspecific you want your file organization to be, the more commands you have to do. The latter means even to do basic organization with a couple files and 2 different tags, you need to enter a command for every single file. Are there more directories or files in your filesystem? Going off the safe assumption that there will be more files than tags, this way makes sense.
You could just have both, keep the existing "tag" command as is (give tag to multiple files) and have a "tags" command that works the other way (give a file multiple tags), it would be fairly obvious which is which from the name.
