imagine the pain itachi felt doing this tho… having to slaughter his ENTIRE clan, even his own parents, and he just couldnt kill sasuke too, its so sad…
From the beginning, Sasuke talks about his brother like a cruel man with no heart, we all wondered why. Even when Itachi finally shows up, this coldness that shows to Sasuke is heart shivering. At the end, Itachi is killed by Sasuke's hands.
Why? The story told us he wants Sasuke to have the village see him as a hero, but he also explained that his life path was never a good one.
As Itachi talks to Naruto about it, now we know that his life was all of blood, His Whole Clan even His own PARENTS. Just imagine how much pain that he has to bare for the sake of village, and that's the path he chose.
For that he hates himself Deeper than Hell itself. He can never forgive himself, and he had to endure it, he became a member of Akatsuki, and the only hope left for him is for Sasuke to live his life, to be stronger, to hate him, kill him, so he can res peacefully, being killed by his own brother, and let everyone see Sasuke a Hero. Instead, he became a World Criminal.
But after being reanimated, he realzes how much he has failed his own little brother too, after all this time he has been gone, he now knows Naruto still has not given up on Sasuke, so he entrusted Naruto to save Sasuke from the Hell that he has put Sasuke in.
By the end, he told Sasuke if only he didn't push Sasuke away from him and left him with Hate, Everything would've turned out differently. Before he fades away, there is no "Next Time" anymore, but only one thing he can left him now, is Love.
Well, that's my summary for this video after watching it! Just gave me so many thoughts in my head to write them down!
And after writing it down, just by thinking about this arch between Sasuke and Itachi, WOW, Mr. Masashi Kishimoto! Just how impressive storytelling there are within the Naruto.
Itachi died of a sickness while fighting Sasuke who could no longer move. Doesnt make sasuke his killer xD
