Aww thank you so much.. Definately the sewed one will last longer than the glue one. Do share it with me on Instagram @meerakaneria if you do. Can't wait to see :)
I was trying to figure out a no sew rucsh technique (gather) for a long dress to go dancing in and this will work with some spare fabric I have for the future. TY.
I watched it again 2 more times. When you glue the 2 strips, they are not glued completely flat to the shirt? I thought they were glued, and I couldnt figure out how you passed a string (fabric) thru it to make the gathers (if the 2 strips had glue all over them and were pushed flat to the shirt).
No , they are not glued completely flat to the shirt. I have only glued on the sides so that I can keep a hole/space in between to pass the string. At the top end. I have glued everything together so that it can hold at one place while ruched. Hope this can help you!
2 more very important questions please! What glue are you using? Ive tried MANY different glues and they bleed thru the fabric, even tho i dont use much. I have a long summer dress. I dont want to cut it shorter. I just want to put some gathers on it. Where do i get the fabric since i won't have scraps from the dress? .thank you!!@
Hey! So firstly I am not pro at fashion designing. It's just I love to do DIY with my old clothes and I did the same thing here. Next for the glue I used locally available fabric glue which is use to stick rhinestone on fabric. For the fabric, you can find them in any locally available store. The fabric here in this t-shirt is cotton stretchable. Thanks!
Hey! if you see it again, check that i have already applied the glue on both corners but not in between. So, that I can make strong go through that space. Hope that helps :)
@@meerakaneria it's so lovely. Do you know how to make a blouse just like it? I would be curious to know what the style is for the cut as well. I can tell what is flattering on but unfortunately I'm not aware of the names of the styles. Thanks for your reply!
Ohhh hey... welcome to this community. So I kinda made DIY stuff one year ago but I moved to UK I do not have stuff or even space to create such videos.. But don't worry I have noted. Next time if I DIY, I will include this idea. Thank you for joining this community. Have a great weekend ahead :)

Where did you get your beautiful blouse by the way?
Hey!
The blouse that I wore is from some lady who use to sell clothes. I don't think there's any link to it..
So yeah 🥹
