- We've been on the road full-time with our 9 kids for the past 8 months and all along we've been wondering what it would be like to celebrate Christmas in our RV. Would we have enough room? Build a bar where the table was--that you can fold up on the wall, yet pull down and have 4 fold up stools for when needed.

Hi I'm Grace. A 15 year-old sophomore from Kentucky. Recently my English class has started a pen-pal assignment. As the teacher had mentioned it is not mandatory, but it is something that she would love to see us try. I have recently found your channel and have become so interested in your family and what you do. As I realize that you guys live in a RV I know it would be hard to be a written letter pen-pal. I have also come across the problem that in the instructions it has to be someone close to your age. After much excessive stressing and meeting with my teacher, she gave in to letting me ask you if I could be email pen-pals with a few of your older kids. ( closer to my age ) I couldn't begin to explain how much this would mean to me as whole. It would be very fun to share my story with people that have an amazing story of their own. I come from a very wild life, but it's one that I will forever thank God for. Im not sure if putting this in your comments was helpful or not, but if you see this I would love to get in touch. So I am new to your vlog and have been binge watching all your videos. I find it really interesting to watch people, especially with children, live alternative life styles. And to add to all the mayhem you have 5 adopted children, some with special needs. I think you would make a great TV series on TLC. But anyway I wanted to comment on something you talked about in your Q and A video....
You mentioned that you had Pearl's spine evaluated, but the doctors said there wasn't anything they could do about it and I think you mentioned there was nothing threatening about her condition. I wanted to let you know that if something ever arises that concerns you about her spine or she needs medical treatment, Boston Children's Hospital is probably the best place in the world that deals with spine deformities. I am (or was) a patient there and met a couple girls, one who was Pearl's age and another who was around the age of 17. They both had severe spine deformities. One was there to have surgery to straighten her spine because as she grew her internal organs, especially her lungs and heart, were being pushed in the wrong directions and slowly creating a potential life threatening scenario. The surgery this girl had ended up lasting over 24 hours!! The other younger patient that I met was there to straighten her spine for cosmetic reasons. The reason I am telling you this is because I want you to know that they deal with spinal problems and curvatures much worse than Pearl's, so I am sure they could help Pearl if ever a problem arises or you just wanted to have them evaluate her deformity and keep an eye on her as she grows. BCH's orthopedic program is rated #1 in the country. Here is there website that talks about there spinal program. I hope this helps you if you ever need it.

I am excited to follow the rest of your journey and can't wait to hear what your plans might be after you are finished with this 18 month journey you are on. I was wondering if there was a reason as to why you chose it to be 18 months versus a year or two years in an RV? Is it just a random amount of time you chose or are there any other reasons you chose 18 months?

I've always wanted to do this with my family including adopted children. (not 9 kids though.lol) but unable to do this because I do not make that much money. You have to have a decent job to raise these kids and owning a RV. I love RV. I love your family. I wish I can jump into the screen and join. Love the family and God bless your heart.
