They earned her attention by going viral with a effective campaign. Wasn't something she did on her own for any fan. Taylor isn't shy when things take off. If people want to be part of something like this they will have to come up with something else original or new to get her attention and go viral. In fairness for every successful campaign like this theres probably loads that don't go anywhere haha.

@@LaneCorbett @TL Corbett All of this was not Taylor Swift's idea. These boys were just so desperate to get a hug from her, so they did anything possible to reach their goal. Posting so many videos on Facebook and Twitter, and creating their own website, trying getting a lot of help from people and followers just to get her attention. They even contacted Ellen Degeneres to send their message to Taylor. Then after 58 days she discovered their website and she then sent a video to them and created the challenges one by one.
