Thank you for highlighting this person - he’s been allowed to be insane to me for a year and it’s nice to get support. I’m really sorry THIS is the reason why you had to talk about it though.
Oh hi merrick
@Merrick Deville
Big fan of yours merrick.
I'm sorry you had to go though that kind of bullshit harassment. Wish you all the best
❤️ you’re awesome, Merrick. Fuck those creeps
Nothing but love & respect for Merrick - so sorry you had to go through that shit!

Not scared to say it. Vaush deserves to be cancelled for harbouring and repeatedly platforming a known fascist by the name of Artemy.
You had me in the first half ngl
I know. Surprised he's been able to get away with this for so long.
TRUE
artemy can't keep getting away with it!!!

Clarification: ThoughtSlime didn't accuse me of being IN a sex cult, they accused me of HAVING one. If you're curious about that, I made a video telling the whole story with screenshots, its really funny.
Sounds pretty wacky, I'll check it out.
when will u make an apology video for using the slurs "****", "*******", and "***", but most importantly "*************************"
lmfao holy shit. That's incredible. Imagine thinking any breadtuber has the charisma and resources to head a sex cult (no offense)
@@Romanticoutlaw No offense? Bruh, that's a violation. Chose violence for absolutely no reason 💀
Jeez, like some people just love to threaten a good time, eh?
Vaush: "I'm a queer, neurodivergent leftist"
The entire online left: "I quickly became homophobic"
This was a while ago, but I caught you didn't add ableism there.
It's a great touch, even if unintended, because there is a ton of ableism everywhere in the political spectrum.
@@shis1988 That's just a quote from a video about a dude who was homophobic back in grade school (actually a really cool video, he talks about how in college he took theater and had to mentally realign himself after realizing his professor and some of his classmates were gay themselves, pretty sure it's from storybooth. also the guy made a video about it on his own channel a couple weeks later talking about making the storybooth video)
@@shis1988 and it needs to be highlighted and called out. The disabled are an underserved, underprivileged, ignored, discriminated underclass of people who need as much recognition as any other minority group. In 20 years time someone would look back on vaush clips that are out there and see his language with r slurs and insults about asd or people with dwarfism and all the rest, as being like how we view old political speeches describing people as n-slurs and sodomites or women as housewives.. terms universally seen now as clownish and socially unacceptable. Vaush would be looked at sideways for not being able to see right now that a capitalist system ruled by respected economists, that deems a person’s economic worth, their life insurance payout, as being based entirely on how much they can do, give, how much time they have left.. is a toxic, discriminatory system that is basically saying you are not equal if you are not young, healthy with all of your limbs and a system like that is a system deciding you get less resources based on your immutable characteristics.. the bare bones of financial societal eugenics.
vaush can be so up to date with women’s rights, with race issues, with trans rights, with international affairs- enough to know that ukraine isn’t run by n@zis and supplying arms to them isn’t as 2d as arming white supremacists and being white supremacist yourself by proxy, unlike hasan where that alongside other things is a big blindspot-
(because apparently he is one of those people lucky enough to be around in the right time climate to be left, none of it has to do with critical reasoning skills because his views are pretty simple according to vaush and he’d just as easily be right wing, which i don’t entirely disagree with)
- and yet vaush can be so blind, even willingly so, to the plight of millions of people worldwide with problems historically suffered since medieval ages, intergenerationally ignored or stamped out through actions and policies meaning they die homeless on the street from disease, have to join the circus to make people laugh for money, or are a target for eugenics and genocides through various regimes including 1930s 🇩🇪.. the only group of people unsung, shunned to this day, only brought up in passing reference on the discovery channel documentaries about the jewish holocaust and other atrocities.. yet the disabled were killed just as mercilessly, they never got any reparations or recognition and continued to be mistreated, outcasted, stigmatised and impoverished almost globally.. why? And you are seen as pitiful, un-enviable, unlucky in the event you find yourself disabled, which needs to change because it demeans everyone living with their disabilities. Just imagine someone saying “on thats too bad, hard going” to someone disclosing their friend being gay or bi, or being trans, gender diverse or a poc.. same thing here.
This is an issue of the day requiring such nuanced thinking, open mindedness, acceptance, understanding, it is a defining moment in a time of social progression and the woke awakening, and vaush is doing nothing but hasaning himself with it.
Vaush: "You can't be bigoted against a person simply because they hold a different political position than you."
Also Vaush: *Calls gay people he disagrees with the f-slur.*
@@theobell2002 in what context?
They should just admit that assertive and abrasive people make them uncomfortable and leave it at that. Like you don’t have to be friends with everyone but it’s super dishonest/harassment to smear Vaush because they are uncomfortable with him
the problem with that is that being uncomfortable to these people is raised to the status of trauma, harassment, and being in danger. we all need to log off, but some need to more than others.
They can't do that though because Vaush is going to criticize their takes every time they make stupid videos about how Vietnam flourished under planned economies or how it's the right of South Africans to choose ethnic cleansing if they want.
Agreed. I do think less time should be focused with arguing with nazis and alt right fascist, and shouldn't be an important goal to de-radicallize young offensive and edgy men because it does make spaces less safe for actual marginalized people...but the left can be a circular firing squad and it's so annoying. So many of us come from different spaces and I honeslty love all of you...im more of a Hasanabi frog myself, but we all double dip into other lefties content and chats
I do t think you realize how profound what you’re saying is. As someone who is fairly “assertive and abrasive” myself, there’s a lot of people who act like I’m attacking them or something.
That’s it. Most of the argumentation they engage in tends to amount to their emotional response and dislike for the way Vaush conducts himself as an online figure. There are plenty of valid criticisms to levy at Vaush but most of what I see online is bullshit about him except from people actually in the community ? Then if you pressure these people on their reasonings you end up with an uncharitable reading into takes he’s had and the way he’s mean when he delivers them. It boils my blood because these people claim they actually care about socialism but spend the majority of their content creator content moral posturing over other leftists.
What I find almost hilarious is the fact that I only found Vaush through the drama and being told how bad of a person he was (I live in South Dakota and was pretty involved in following some Native Activism stuff, so this was the drama after the Land Back) - I was so interested in finding out how this "Horrible person pretending to be a Leftist" could have such a big audience also convinced they were leftists that I started going through all the content, including the Drama Recap videos and the old historical streams kept around.
And I unironically came around with: Oh, he was too intelligent and trapped them in their own rhetoric and instead of dealing with the problems their ethical systems could cause and examining their own biases to grow as people, they slammed the door shut and started calling him all the "-ists" they could get their hands on.
I've since started going over all the videos I can and even catching streams live just to hear him talk and hearing him have to mention the fact that as much as his "Detractors" are saying they're being harassed, you basically have to add all their communities together plus all the right wing people who hate him too and *thats* how much harrassment *he* gets? Wow. It really hit hard. It's not something I would have consciously acknowledged without him laying it out, and honestly. The amount of willpower it would take to be able to bear that day in and day out while still trying to be a positive force of advocation for a community that hates him is honestly mindboggling to me.
Sincerely, you're doing great work even if they'll never thank you for it.
_"And I unironically came around with: Oh, he was too intelligent and trapped them in their own rhetoric and instead of dealing with the problems their ethical systems could cause and examining their own biases to grow as people, they slammed the door shut and started calling him all the "-ists" they could get their hands on."_

Now that you describe the situation like this, I hope that Vaush doesn’t end like Lindsey Elis. A very popular UA-camr who was harassed by members of a community they helped foster (video-essays & progressive community) to the point it really negatively impacted her mental health and she had to quit because of it.
Other than that, hello relatively newer fan! As much as the whole drama started by P Flowers sucked, at least it’s the reason one of my favorite Vaush convos, the talk with Native American activist Morgan, happened. And I’m glad you are here too \(^_^)/
@@melaniey.5596 it's really disgusting honestly. How insane do you have to be to harrass the very people who helped uplift your community? It's like they're trying to sabotage themselves further.
@@melaniey.5596 Vaush seems to be taking it in stride with the whole "Screw the Optics" arc that appears to be brewing, but I sincerely hope that the same thing doesn't happen to him either.
And yeah! That wholesome convo with Morgan is perhaps one of my favorites he's done in recent memory and I'd probably use it as a way to introduce Vaush to other people to show them that he's not what they make him out to be, he was friendly, respectful, didn't talk over them - gave them a platform for their point of view as a Native person whose tribe is involved in an aspect of Land Back.
Like... Imagine hearing al that shit and then the fucking Morgan convo was your first run-in with Vaush properly? The whiplash would be *deadly*.
@@brandonlee9316 hahaha definitely! I hope she comes again because that talk was lovely, and I wish she had had the time to say what she wanted about the Red Canyon, but I understand that that trail of thought being derailed to talk about Mount Rushmore might have been more pertinent to the discussion XD
Their bullying and in and out group mentality is literal middle school shit, being displayed by fn adults. Grow tf up, people!

Unfortunately they're probably not going to, their brains stopped growing long ago.
Tankies never stopped playing make believe unfortunately.
It's middle school shit yes, and lets remember not to conflate childish with harmless, cos it's middle school shit like this that leads to suicides.
They are tonkies. Growing up wasnt on the option menu.
As a trans woman, I am sick of how "sensitive" and "gentle" so many trans spaces online are. That obviously has a place, but this sickly sweet overly cautious and hugboxy version of online discourse is infantilizing and annoying. It's become so ubiquitous that I can't participate in most of these spaces because I don't feel like couching my language in 16 layers of sugar coating.
It’s especially alienating as an autistic trans person, and a huge portion of us (something like 1/3) are.
I'm not trans, so I wouldn't know too much, but is it like toxic positivity? Because that *really* doesn't do anyone any favors.
Well said! I hate that, and I also hate how a lot of "smol bean uwu" people in those spaces will flip on a dime and become *incredibly* aggressive if you trigger, contradict, or offend them.
I'm glad someone else said it. I remember I was in RGR's server like a year ago (pre-Demon Mama drama) and the community was disgustingly sugar-coated. One of the mods woke-scolded me for saying "stupid" in the context of me talking about my experience as an autistic person and shut me down.
Uncucked left now.
Thank you! Obviously there's a time and place for everything and we should have spaces where everyone feels comfortable. But honestly, I wouldn't mind a few more spaces in the left that were at least a little more okay with just being kinda edgy. Not bad edgy mind you. More like, tastefully edgy. The left is sooooooo pearl clutchy online and it drives me nuts.
Th "harrassment" and "hate mobs" they complain about are people asking questions like "why are you lying?", "why did you cut the clip mid-sentence?" "you're ignoring the context that literally undoes your entire argument!". These people just label any oposition to their blind hatred as "mobbing" and "harrassin" while influencing people to do this shit themselves. Disgusting.
Oh yeah, asking for context and explanation is harassment…
The more I see stuff like ts cry about how Vaush is a racist creep, but didn’t acknowledge the fact what Luna Oi does is just going left or right to justify “Vietnam socialism good”, even when she has to make a 180 turn to say “actually our free market is better because it’s better”
I love that it the clipping out of context became so common that it now became "Vaush fans always excuse him by asking for _context_ " You know like it's pattern of dishonest behaviour on our side not theirs
You just described how Noah Samsen saw the disagreements people had towards PF and Kat Blaque in his latest slimy video.
I remember getting kicked out of a twitter groupchat because one of the people in there saw I interacted with a Vaush meme, of course they said he was a pdf file and brought up the 4 year old Harassment drama. The pdf file "evidence" was of course a fucking out of context screenshot that I didn't have the context to, and even after I conceded that I couldn't defend anything they kicked me out anyways. I understand the inherent disgust with anything even remotely edgy you see from a leftist content creator, but jesus man, we need to be at least a little charitable.
It's honestly even worse because it was literally selective charitability, there was other people in the chat who followed Vaush lmao
Oh hey the cartoon clipper I like! Hi! I like your vids
Always a pleasure to see you here :)
There's a lot of extremely humorless lefties. It's not even a case of 'I don't get it' or 'eh, not my taste in humor' but literally humorless unless they're laughing at their own stupid jokes which, coincidentally, often actually aren't funny.
I've never seen "pdf file" used in this way before, and it made me snort water out of my nose... So thank you.
These people are about as hurtful for the left as you can be. Those are exactly the kind of people in all those "owning sjw compilations", and who get used as examples by far right groups/people to get "normies" on their side.
I’m really sick of these “leftists” who claim that anytime you criticize a nonwhite, non cis, non het, non male individual, you’re automatically being bigoted, as opposed to just disagreeing with that person, because they’re genocide supporters for example. It’s actually really patronizing and performative to reflexively defend the person who’s technically more marginalized, just because it’s uncomfortable to call them out. Plus, it seems like the people who always cry about Vaush’s community supposedly brigading them with harassment, will usually use their own identities as shields, then proceed to cry bully others.
the term is literally "infantilization", and it's a big issue with the online left's prescriptions of issues.
Why should anyone treat minorities like adults? Then you'd have to actually respect them but they're clearly not up to proper standards so we'll just have to make excuses and such. . .
. . .
. . . Wait a minute. That's almost like being discriminatory.
If anything minority figures should have the right to have criticism extended towards them, refusing to on this basis would be bigoted itself
idpol is a hell of a drug
The whole marginalised thing is nonsense aswell

As a person of color and an aspiring philosopher, the philosophical illiteracy of the online left is quite tragic. It actually saddens me that anyone could listen to that farcicle debate and still trust in the intellectual honesty of Luna or EJ.
Ngl you come off as trying to impress
@@caelin4174 Have I succeeded?
@@meguca201 as another aspiring philosopher, yes
A particular type of person is overrepresented in online leftist spaces, and let's just say that they're generally not gonna be people who make good philosophy easy to do.
Leftists' dogwhistle detectors are particularly hypersensitive. They'll notice dogwhistles where a lib won't, for example. The result is a lot more false positives. Hence all the "Vaush is a nazi" accusations. That's actually part of the function of dogwhistles. It's hard to do good philosophy in an environment (like online leftist spaces) where there's that much suspicion of one another. It's not just illiteracy, it's dogmatism and cynicism.
There are entire categories of discussion that the online left isn't remotely mature enough to handle at present. Good luck on your future degree or relevant employment.
The main lesson I learned is to completely never ever have a Twitter account, no matter how low I would stoop for attention
But what about porn?

I realised twitter would lead to things like that when it only appeared, cause its format doesn't allow to explain all nuances of someone's views in one post.
This crybully behavior from the likes of Thought Slime and Luna Oi is what pushed a lot of moderates into the hands of reactionaries. Let's not have a repeat of 2015-2016.
Can attest! It gave me a nice hard shove over to the right when i was in high school. Vaush and his community were by far the most effective thing in pushing me out of that shit because i hadnt known the left online to be anything but toxic crybullies like this until discovering him. No arguments just emotional manipulation and moral grandstanding because its only like youre getting cut out of their clique to them.
Hi! I definitely agree. So, I’m kind of curious, what made you got out of the anti-SJW phase, per the popular uploads on your channel, if I may ask?
Thats the thing. The worse the left acts, the more power the right gets.
Agree. But also think if online discourse by youtubers is pushing someone to embrace morally repugnant views, and toxic ideologies, it’s time to log off, touch grass, and play some pool with your buddies.

Some of these people seem to think the left is just the opposite of the right but not in any way that matters but just in terms of which people you are supremacist for and which power blocks imperialism you support. Not conciously obviously but it really is how some of these people think. It's all aesthetics.
Somebody who actually uses Twitter should compile all of Though Slime's tweets about Vaush and do a direct comparison to Vaush's tweets about TS. I just think it would be interesting to see a wall of whiny bullshit next to essentially nothing.
KnowNOthing is the guy
I don't think that would ever be a fair comparison if only because vaush doesn't need to tweet to say something about TS publicly, he'll say it on stream, whereas unless TS wants to straight up make a video about vaush or wants to discuss a topic in which bringing him up would be relevant, their only public avenue for sharing their thoughts on vaush is twitter.
@@cruelcumber5317 Thought Slime also streams, just not as often and not as the focus of their channel. Mildred has also frequently appeared on other breadtubers' livestreams before, such as The Serf Times and Sophie from Mars.

Most of the leftists I know have some arbitrary hatred of Vaush, usually tied to their misunderstandings of the one of twenty out of context clips intentionally spread around to convince people to hate Vaush.
Ironically, the one Vaushite friend I had turned out to be incredibly toxic and I had to cut our relationship. Really sucks since he was the one person I could talk politics with without having to restrain myself from even referring to anything Vaush would agree with.
I hate to say it but Thought Slime is cut from the same cloth as Lily orchard. People and communities that are toxic and abusive but complain about the toxicity of others with a complete lack of self awareness.
As a Mod of one of the Vaush Fan groups on Facebook. We have and still allow people in who don't have the most favorable opinions of Vaush. They don't like actively spew hate or bad faith they just have criticisms, but we allow them to stay because we actually believe in good faith discussions and that you should be allowed to criticize your favorite thought leader.
Go to another space and it has become a well known fact in these groups Vaush is like Fight Club, first rule when going in other left groups "Don't talk about Vaush Club"
The weird part about all of this stuff, is like most of Vaush's audience, like 90% of it in my opinion likes all of left tubes videos. It's just so weird that the creators themselves have this one specific fault line around vaush. It feels very surface level, and like it's just based off of aesthetics.
I'd say I like most Leftube content, and when I don't like somebody or their content I...just don't watch them?
Also, when Leftubers I enjoy socialize with people I consider iffy, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as long as their content, opinions, and real-world behavior stay on the level, as opposed to screaming for them to be cancelled, as some people are wont to do.
I used to like most left tube content.
But I've fallen out with a lot of them because many of them have demonstrated the kind of ungrounded world view NC showed off.
Making points that don't follow from previous statements, adopting attitudes which I deem counterproductive, etc.
I really hope that this whole experience helps show other people that a lot of left tube aren't worth the time it takes to watch them.
they just don't like his personality, thats literally it. And i get it, Vaush is a confrontational debate bro, Destiny lite (but not as derranged), it's easy to be uncharitable towards him because you already feel like he has "bad vibes".
Bro, Vaush literally said CP should be legal. Why are you listening to this creep?
Vaush brings up pedophilia way too much and also talks like a 13 year old on a redpill subreddit.
When people try to get you to prove your sexuality it really grinds my gears. I could literally do the same thing and say “prove that you’re straight. You don’t look straight.” I guarantee you that they would say something like “that’s not how it works” because it’s only how it works when you aren’t like them
Also no one should ever have to "prove" their sexuality. Even if a pansexual person has never slept with the same gender that doesn't change their attraction. No one should have to actually sleep with someone to prove who they are attracted to. AND THEY ONLY DO THIS TO VAUSH if some person said "yeah I'm a bisexual woman but I haven't slept with a woman yet" no one would argue with them. It's solely because it's vaush and they hate how abrasive he is
Reminders me of the atheist/religious debates. its all nonsense.
The only way to interpret their behaviour in a charitable way at this point is to assume that they’re just mind numbingly stupid. You were obviously challenging his moral system and that context is literally never addressed in their responses. How willfully ignorant can they get? No intelligent person would watch the last 10, 20 minutes of that stream and think you were just “pushing the J question”. They still can’t figure out that you were trying to show it doesn’t matter and can’t matter if you’re trying to condemn genocide effectively. It’s either that or they’re just unashamedly spreading pure disingenuous slander and it’s gross and sad and is super disappointing to see.
A lot of them literally just jump at the chance to demonize people. They will uncritically parrot and bullshit smear they hear out of tribalism
Great take. We’re never going to get any leftist ball rolling if these people are what most think leftism is. What with Oi’s USSR red fash t shirt.
Cancellations are literally never given context. It's incredibly rare that someone who participates in an in-fighting cancellation actually puts even one iota of effort into figuring out if the treatment was deserved or even based remotely on reality. Humans just enjoy tearing down people they view as better than them in some way, like some kind of blood sport. It's a psychological weakness we have.
I swear, 90% of this is just
-Vaush is making argument A
-Vaush mentions counterargument B, then refutes it as part of the larger argument A
-Someone with nothing better to do clips the mention of B
-Vaush trends on twitter, everyone thinks he believes B
@@jrg2866 So fucking true!
This video is pure catharsis as someone who's VERY annoyed at the VDSers, they make my blood boil everytime I read another lie, *and I don't even have twitter*
I do like some of Thought Slime's videos, but this is getting a bit out of hand. He needs to have a bit more awareness for why Vaush makes him so upset and come to terms with it instead of thinking it is okay to push the harassment.
I really enjoy Thought Slime's content and sense of humor (including their Scaredy Cat videos), so it's really disappointing to hear that they've acted like a jerk to Vaush, Xanderhal, and other folks on Twitter. It just seems so pointlessly counterproductive.
This isnt something I'd throw out lightly because I feel like it plays into a right wing talking point, but I unironically think a decent handful of the hate Vaush gets, especially from men or some masc enbies (TS identifies as "Dude+" on their bio so I think it's fair to put them under that umbrella) is because he's a hairy and traditionally masculine man and these people have unfortunatley come to overly conflate the aesthetic of traditional masculinity with toxic masculinity (which is not an aesthetic in the first place, it's behavior). Maybe I'm projecting a bit, but when I was way more depressed and mentally unhealthy in the past, I overcompensated with the soft boi shit myself and developed a serious bias against traditional masculinity in this way. I dont think that's the only reason people like TS develop this level of hatred for Vaush, but my gut (which may be wrong) tells me it's the spark for the fire at least.
@@user-yr8ge3fz8o I think that to some degree I might relate. As an AMAB enby, I did have some complex masculinity back to when I would do things like grow a beard to convince myself of the masculinity.
You know what, I think it is kind of like a "not like other girls" sort of thing. Where it becomes the kind of woke thing to bash the stereotypical gender thing. But really, you should accept it as long as it isn't hurting anyone. Masculinity does not need to mean something like abuse, and thinking that way cam be toxic.
He defended Professor Flowers at his fake virtue signally award show ffs, made me unsubscribe
It's white male guilt. People often do this shit for social acceptance - like how kids who get bullied will often try to ingratiate themselves by emulating the bullies and finding someone else less socially acceptable to pick on. It's a defense mechanism to deflect insecurity.

Local elections? Does Vietnam even have elections?
Thought Slime reluctantly encourages people to vote and that's about it. I dont feel comfortable generalizing the kinds of direct action effective in places like America or Canada to Vietnam tho idk enough about their local politics.

Now I can't help but wonder if any of the claims were ever true. These people so easily fall back on lies.
The thing that sold me on the idea that we were fully gaslit that Vaush’s community is toxic to leftists/minority creators is the weirdly repeated admission that the increase in actual harassment and identity based attacks comes along with every direct controversy with any sufficiently large content creator.
That admission is INCREDIBLY telling.

The important thing is to avoid falling on the same traps. TS, tankies, wokescolds and all their ilk focus their vitriol on specific groups of people instead of the system that allows those people to harm others: this creates a loop where an in-group is made where abuse and totalitarism is allowed against the "enemies" of said in-group, effectively creating the same thing they claim to dislike on the right.

She knew a lot about theory of leftism but she never seemed to try to apply those left leaning thoughts to real life. Not only that but the people she was around who were wokescolds would always excuse the bad things she did because of her politics of being left leaning.
Another example of what happens when you don’t have a moral system to back your ideology...
smdh that fucking sucks; I'm sorry you had an encounter with someone like that.
I got banned from r/stuffliberalsay cuz I commented on a post saying “vaush isn’t that bad”
dont worry, they banned me for being against stalin
they're too far gone :/
Greetings from a European creator who's experiencing the same thing. You're right with everything, keep it up! ❤
Tankies being the bullies and playing the victim sounds a lot like something fascists do. Now why would that be?
"Tankies" are true leftists and successful socialists that do revolution meanwhile you neo-liberals and socdems hope for a revolution on baseless reformism and you clowns love being bought off by the ruling class.

Oh hey my tweet got a shout out, hahaha dope.
Vaush: "I denounce pedophilia and here is my reason:..."
Them: "OMFG YOU SAID SOMETHING I DISAGREE WITH EVEN IF YOU HOLD THE SAME POSITION THAT PEDOPHELIA IS WRONG OMFG CANCEL HIM NOW!!!"
isnt "we've been harassed into silence about vaush" vaguely similar to republicans on a stage giving a speech on how we cant talk about this stuff
When has Vaush openly promoted that POC deserve no rights?
And I mean even aren’t doing vague gestures like Republicans do. People are literally saying that they have been banned from reddit pages and discord for being neutral about Vaush. Never mind defending him...
Dude...I was having a "discussion" with a transphobe here on UA-cam a few weeks ago so I linked them the Vaush video about the BBC TERF article. And apparently, because it was _Vaush,_ my "credibility" went out the window. XD
Good that transphobes fears him
I was on your sub today and someone mentioned that we should be talking about real life issues, not saying Harassment isn't a real life issue ofc.
I think that's the strategy we should go with though. Whenever they say any of these lies about you, we all just spam them with leftist, democratic and progressive issues. Asking them why they are focusing their time on spreading lies and not on any of those issues. Links to a rise in fascism as well. We can destroy them with the high ground and spread awareness.
Don’t let Vaush or any of his fans meet kids in real life. Lol!
@@Quaquadaqu Dude... sauce or gtfo. You're just coming off as obsessed and unhinged.
I wonder how many of the people who harass and shit talk Vaush also approved of Lindsay Ellis being harassed to the point of quitting YouTubing.
She didn't just quit youtube! She left the internet entirely!
This was the final straw for me. I wasn't upto date with all the disingenuous doings of Thought Slime. Which is funny because I found Vaush through Thought Slime. I unsubbed from them today, Thought Slime is cringe and Vaush Rad.
Same. I can find better people that make similar content. Probably in a better way too.
whats even weirder is that the TS and vaush video demographic are basically the same people, but TS is just such a huge shithead
Thank you for your work. Us degenerates of the internet don’t deserve it.
Ya'know, there's something very vindicating about how much they have to lie, omit, or purposefully take out of context to get an up on you Vaush, keep making them mald.
_pain_
Enjoyed a Thought Slime video earlier today.
Now I have looked at the twitter feed and consumed an uncomfortable amount of context.
It is _astounding_ how many people are sticking to their guns with nasty accusations when the full context of what you were saying is _not_ hard to find.
Painfully disappointed to learn this about someone whose content I've liked for a while.
Are you talking about the Xan accusations? It should be noted that according to socialblade, Thought Slime is losing both UA-cam subs and Twitter throughout this whole month. I dunno if it's because of the Xan drama, but it's happening lol
@@subroy7123 That and the pedojacketing Vaush just because he made a hypothetical act utilitarian argument on the way to saying "and that's why I'm a rule utilitarian instead".
Looking through her Twitter, you're not the only one her followers threaten death too. She occasionally tells them they shouldn't kill people though. Like she needs to check herself
I just think Luna needs to really think about the community she is cultivating. Just really think about it. She just needs to think about it, just REALLY think.
I forgot about Xan's cult, which is a weird thing to say, but it's like, oh yeah the cult.
I pretty much became a subscriber to Vaush after watching his deconstruction of Jimmy Dore during the Dore/TYT drama going on when Dore made sexually-inappropriate comments to Ana Kasparian when she was supposedly wearing a short dress. Before watching Vaush, I was only an avid viewer of Kyle Kulinski but I was hit like a train when suddenly this drama just popped up out of nowhere and Kyle felt like he had to do two segments on it clarifying his position. I've always respected him for his brash honesty and principles, but I felt like I wasn't getting the full picture here, especially when Dore fans were swarming Kyle's two videos demanding loyalty to Jimmy (even though Kyle said that he mostly agreed with Jimmy).
Vaush provided the clarity that made this whole situation make sense. Jimmy Dore uses leftist language to push people into conservative conclusions by constantly attacking the Democrats. Whatever Dore's ideology may be, his viewer-base is remarkably conservative. This would explain the sudden swarm of idiots that invaded Kyle's channel. Now I realize that anti-elitism and criticism of liberalism or the Democratic Party Establishment alone doesn't necessarily mean that the ones employing this type of rhetoric are leftists.
Anti-intellectualism isn't leftist. Dogmatism isn't leftist. Communist/LGBT+ aesthetics isn't leftist. Solidarity in improving our collective material well-being and recognizing our shared vulnerabilities in life is leftism. As the late Michael Brooks have put it before - the "online left's" focus on deplatforming has destroyed our ability to organize. We need to be more aware of toxic people who use leftist theory/rhetoric to push conservative conclusions or for their own destructive, unhealthy motives. Toxic people like the ones that keep disingenuously attacking Vaush - who, by the way, is a queer neurodivergent socialist - are not valuable to the movement and should be encouraged to improve their mental states/capacities or GTFO.
*salutes* Oh, captain, my captain.
To be fair, Kyle and Jimmy Dore has always shared a lot of viewers. Now, with the rift Jimmy Dore has created, you're starting to see the ideological differences between the two communities. I still regularly debate accelerationists in Kyle's comment sections because unfortunately, Kulinski has been a bit irresponsible with some of his language when it comes to political efficacy. So you see a lot of people who refuse to vote Democrat even though they are supposedly left-leaning.
@@Alkezo1 Agreed. Kyle is great at moving centrists or right-wingers towards the left but his analysis/strategy can be pretty lackluster compared to Vowsh. I think the anti-vaxxers that I see in his comment section is pretty cringe, ngl.
At this point, I listen to Vaush more intently than what Kyle has to say because: a) I already know what Kyle's gonna say. b) Voosh has a level of analysis that I find to be very salient and rhetorically-effective. I learned talking points from Kyle but I feel like I'm learning how to be a better, strategic leftist from Vaush. Kyle argues from principle but my arguments can go on the offense when I learn how Vowsh argues from utilitarianism. Very enlightening stuff.
@@competingcoot4756 I completely agree. Kyle is great at pulling right-leaning people into what I would call "baby leftism". Not that its inherently bad, but I don't think its the end result in most people's journey into leftism. I watched Kyle for years before stumbling upon Vaush, who I now watch more frequently than Kyle. I just think Vaush's political beliefs are better for the world than Kyle's. Kyle is still a force for good, I'd say, though.
for a good chunk of the video, I just had one thought in my head: they wouldn't do this (mainly the pdf file shit) as hard if he "looked" gay/pan. I just about lost my mind when that tweet towards the end proved me right... I think it's crystal clear that these people only care about IDPOL when it 1) benefits them and/or 2) is "obvious". they've just done a 360 back to the ideologies their parents probably still have about their own "hidden identities". I'm certain a good amount of them have heard "you don't look gay/trans/etc" by people in their lives. how many of those bi/pan people have been told to "prove their sexuality" before? it's disappointing that they aren't able to sort through their internalized bigotry before using the same dogma.
Glad Vaush can at least admit the discord is absolute garbage.
I was banned after like an hour for saying Albania isn't real lol
Nah, I'd say it's cool.

Sometimes I check out the channels of the people Vaush debates but I sure as hell don't leave comments on them. I know a hornet's nest when I see one.

Honestly, I went off Non-Compete when he tried to guilt-trip me when I pointed out that it's not always safe for everyone to unionise.
(Of course unions are a good thing, I was trying to add nuance to the discussion based on what I went through...which was ultimately dismissed)
Like, Vaush isn’t perfect and people hating him have good takes. But Deer Dog, how stupid can those people be..?
Don't tempt them...
Man... I liked TS... I really really liked his videos. But it wasn't Vaush that pushed me away from TS, it was TS who pushed me away. :(
If I'm bigoted for wanting Vaush to prove his sexuality by dominating me, then so be it ;^)
I actively avoid creators like Thought Slime because of their hypocritical stance on morality. Vaush has his flaws, but he’s always been 100% foreword about what he believes. I think these people like Thought Slime are just too emotional to see past their own feelings.
I'mma be honest, I used to love mildred's content and I actually found him before vaush and Xanderhal, but I can't really watch his stuff anymore after seeing his abusive tendencies and inability to admit to wrongdoing.
I find them a bit too authoritarian for my tastes, but I do have to admit that their videos are very well-edited.
It's not that I don't agree with them in certain points (left-right spectrum only); I just really don't like authoritarians.
Sorry to see that this has got you so het up, Mr V. For what it's worth, I've only recently discovered your youtube content, and you're already one of my favourite left-political commentators. Keep up the good work, bud. Lots of love.
Somehow I feel like "Mr V" is, if the V for Vendetta guy had a Harley Quinn type sidekick, what she would call him.
Just once, I'll comment on my main account. I like Vaush, and I totally care who knows it.
I liked Thought Slime until I got twitter. What a dink.
"This clip does indeed take Vaush out of context, but the context makes what he is saying far worse." If that were true... Why didn't they show the context? Wouldn't that have made the point of the clip stronger? "Benign clip chimping" isn't a thing that people do.
