Sam Neill is a great actor, and he really nailed it in his role as Damien Thorn. A benevolent face, with the heart and soul of a monster. He really made this movie.
I think that the actor who played Damien would have been perfect as Bart Winslow as an Adult in the Flowers In The Attic Series if it were ever made into a Miniseries. He has that ruthlessness and evilness that Bart posessed.
damien has all the features of two well known real characters, prince william and harry!! notice: he´s english, went to a military school, hes mother died when he was still a child and hes being prepared to become a very important political figure in world context...
He was supposed to be 12 in the omen 2 actually, he was meant to be 5 in the omen 1 then in the omen 2 his aunt says 'you loved and cares for him for seven years'
yes in the movie he is born in rome and his father is american i believe but the first 2 ones were done by english child actors. maybe they want to put the focus in the american government whilst the other part (house of windsor? vatican?) runs free and unnoticed.
Oooookay. He really does not look that bad. Actually, that actor looks a lot like Mark Hamill to me (when he played Luke Skywalker in Return Of The Jedi).
@noodlesmealey I was just asking, because you're right he is French. And according to ancient teachings as well as Biblical, he is from the tribe of Dan. But, he's also American (after all Liberty, though given to the US by the French, remains a symbol for the US). And he's also Central American/probably Mayan (there are clues in movies, which are always made by the Illuminati). There's a video on youtube called "statue of liability" and that may be closer to the truth than people realize
I think having the central character as Damien was a mistake. 'The Omen' worked because the horror was seen and felt from the perspective of Peck, Remick and Warner. You cannot root for Damien and the 'good' characters are underdeveloped and not compelling. So where does that leave an audience?!! Also, it's not scary and the repeated failures of the monks to deal with Damien can come off almost comical (unfortunately). It needed a rethink. Have Damien pose a real threat, but focus the story on an engaging character/set of characters who must stop him and allow us to empathise with their failure and then success in doing so.
dont care if there is a "beast" or a god but the omen is a good movie series, but i do see it from both views, people dont wana die but you should not pity the weak
Sam Neil had just the right amount of creepiness and charisma needed to continue what Harvey Stephens and Jonathan Scott Taylor did in their performances as Damien. He had the little facial expressions down pat. However, I found the 3rd film itself rather dull compared to the first and second one, especially when it came to the death scenes. It's almost as if they ran out of ideas with the 3rd movie and just rushed it to finish the trilogy.
the scene where barabara killed her husband with the electric iron did she also kill the baby? because harvey was shocked when he was approaching to the baby bed
I think its pretty good movie I dont care for the ending but for the most part its good he doesnt have as much power in this one he needs his diciples to do most of the work but still a lot of killing mostly new born children
Hollywierd's version of the book of Revelation. However, Sam Neil really made for a charismatic anti-christ. With all that aside, they should have ended this with the original Omen movie.
The Anti-Christ lives today. Revelation 13 discloses some cryptic information about him. The Beast will have 7 heads and his number will be that of a man-666. Some theologists believe they have deciphered this and what it means-it predicts the birthday of the Anti-Christ. The numerals 666,added together, amount to the number 18. The 7 heads represent 7 months. So,this means the birthday of the Anti-Christ will be on the 18th day of the 7th month-July 18. The year will be that of the Dragon. cont.
What sucked about this movie was the ending, they built up this huge epic showdown between Damien and Jesus and it never happened, Damien gets a cheap shot by some bitch with a knife in the back. And then God and his son and flock of sheep win, go figure. I have had it with this stigma, about demons and Lucifer being all evil, here is some interesting info, not all demons are evil, sure they hold rank in hell and command legions of spirits (devils) those who know demonology know what Im saying
But through understanding of these demons which there are a fucking ton of them, 72 just in the lesser Key of Solomon/Ares Goetia texts. Quite a few are honest and good natured, who offer great knowledge and wisdom and the occasional kick ass power to those deserving of it and are knowledgeable of the proper ways to call upon their services. About 98-99% of summoners fucked up or just did not know anything to begin with, summon a demon wrong and at best you have pissed it off cause you suck.

The score from Jerry Goldsmith in this film is truly breathtaking particularly at the end,
I luv when Sam plays Evil roles..he does them real good
IT IS A GREAT HORROR MOVIE AND DAMIEN OMEN II AND THE OMEN
This film gets criticized a lot, but I think it is a very atmospheric quality horror. I love that Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack too.
I love that movie & 1&2
Its a good movie not the greatest but not boring A bit old allready but i got it here still nice film
Damien lived on........and went to Isla Nebla , off of Costa RICA

@raz985 It is. What's great is how he managed to keep the american accent without wavering while surrounded by mainly Brits throughout this movies.
Part II was the best of the series
"The power of evil is no longer in the hands of a child."
just have faith. you feel better.
He was supposed to be 12 in the omen 2 actually,
he was meant to be 5 in the omen 1
then in the omen 2 his aunt says 'you loved and cares for him for seven years'
"The Power of evil...is no longer in the hands of a child!!!" Great movie tag line!!! Wish the movie was better!!! Mellodee123
in Damien Omen II, Lee Grant's scream was epic

Jesus makes apperance in this movie.

She doesn't kill him because she'd jealous, she kills him because she uses his son as a human shield, leading to the boy's death.
LOL, his face at 0:13.
good editing.
Awesome trailer!
Adult Damien kind of looks like Mark Hamill, I know it's not but still.
his girlfriend stabbed him with a holy knife or something like that because damien killed her son

Was this shown in some prints of The Empire Strikes Back in theaters back in 1980? It's because I saw a 1980 copyright,
he was so much cuter when he was younger T.T

@MissSamaraMorgan So right!!!!!!!!!!
how did he die at the end
Are these disciples, the people who protect Damien from anyone who tries to hurt him.
sam neil carries the film, it would be utterly boring without him.
It's a movie and the bible a work of fiction. Don't get too attached to your heavily plot armored main characters.
@noodlesmealey I don't know what a "yogurt likin french dude" is supposed to mean exactly...but, how do you know that he's French?
Sam Neill
@Potetguden
yes because my name is Damian...and it means tamer ..or to tame it has nothing to do with the devil
And to think the same year he was the Devil's nemesis in "Possession." (A brilliant movie and performance, by the way, as opposed to this cheesefest.)
The trailer is good.
sigh.. ill forget about those "poor movie thing".. what the hell.. sam is hot as damien!! hes the best evahh!!
Yes if we could just get rid of the boogies.
yeaaah
@THEGBWinchester haha same here!
@M4NDON WHAT? Then why are you watching these flicks for? Conflict in real life is Good vs Evil. Which do you prefer?
the scene where barabara killed her husband with the electric iron did she also kill the baby? because harvey was shocked when he was approaching to the baby bed
Steakhouse!
I think the name of the song is The Anthem of Satan but dont hold that to me
@Lamadredetuamigo ok, It's him... I'm sorry. (Damned flashbacks)
Why the priest of the beginning is so similar to Patrick Troughton???
Peter Cook in Bedazzled (1967 film) is more scary..
The name Damien does not mean "sweet and harmless." The name Damien is Greek and means, "to tame." Get it right. Look it up on Google.
gangsta4lyf, can u pls upload it on ur channel, pls? pls download omen 2. i bet lots will be watching it too.
@Potetguden - I think so yes
haha very nice.
What? When was he mentioned again? Or are you just joking?
u must be the life of the party at ur house!
this movie isnt as good as the first two.but.if your addicted to the premise.might be worth one viewing.
@Potetguden a demon and the antichrist isnt that similare? in that case antichrist would be like the chief demon.
I think its pretty good movie I dont care for the ending but for the most part its good he doesnt have as much power in this one he needs his diciples to do most of the work but still a lot of killing mostly new born children
if the anti christ ever comes in our time and he looks like Sam Neill, he's all MINE.
Thorn Monsanto Industries.
@Jokerprodution ok umm, demons used to be angels you see and angels are gods children

why can't he love satan?... just respect.
.........ok.....
That's what all men want your to believe
@neil22100 Don't take it too literally. This "dark side" is a cultural construct and therefore irrelevant outside its culture.
prove it.
@megasuperawesomefail "and what are angels gods children" what?

Wish the ending part lasted longer in the movie and also want to say the 2006 version sucks!
I think this is the best omen movie. In real life its Obama: The final conflict.
Your stupid
