    Nice review, I always appreciate the level of detail you go into - enough to be informative, but not so much that it overwhelms!
    Will you be doing a MyDMX 3.0 tutorial series the way you did for 2.0?

    • @jldjukvideo

      Thanks! I do have a MyDMX 3.0 interface ready to go. I just need time to go in depth with the software and write the script for the tutorials. They are coming but probably not for a month or so

    I was just needing a video to show me what this light had in it. I was going to possibly rent this light out fot a theatrical gig, and this was perfect to give me the information I needed in a consise and easy to follow video. Keep up the great work. Love the vids!

    I wish you could show the show mode features, that’s what keeps the light on the dance floor. It frustrates me that all lighting fixture reviews skip on showing this mode.

      I will make a video of that soon. Showcasing each mode without dmx. I do recommend it. You can also program them right from the back of the unit to rotate or prism what ever gobo you want and color and save it. I lile to program the star prism to slowly rotate on the dancefloor. Perfect for when guests are arriving or for a special dance

      @@doctormasterdevil thank you. I just know ADJ has that function called show mode and Chauvet DJ calls it totem mode. It’s supposed to restrict the pan and tilt and keep the light on the dance floor. Not back behind and lighting the wall and ceiling.

      @doctormasterdevil 3 роки тому +1

      @@nathanriethmaier9865 yes, it has different Show Modes. One of those Show Modes is similar to Chauvets totem mode. Meaning that on that mode without dmx the light will only move and point forward without pointing behind it. You can even combine those modes with sound active mode which is a plus. That way you can just let it run on sound mode totem mode. You can also right from the back of the unit program a setting to your choosing for example. I manually program the lights to point to the middle of the dancefloor with the stars gobo slowly rotating in prism mode. The unit saves this manual mode and every time it will remember it when you select manual mode. Perfect for using that manual mode while guests are arriving or during special dances and then with a click of a button go back to sound active "totem mode"

      @@doctormasterdevil thank you so much for replying back and explaining the show modes. I love the show mode functions and how the modes keep the lights on the dance floor. I bought two ADJ inno spot pros and the show modes on them are awesome.

      @@nathanriethmaier9865 awesome bro! I also had the same concern before buying adj movers. Didnt know that they had the same function as totem mode. They just dont name it that. I eventually want to use My DMX Go to run my lightshow, but for the moment just eant to run it on auto mode and pause it during special dances etc. Dont really want to mess with manual DMX either. I havent used them at a gig yet. How did you go about "selling" them to a client? Did you have it as an "intelligent lighting add on" or did you automatically added it to your rig and charged according to packages? Im still thinking how I should "sell it". Thinking if maybe doing 3 tier packages, where only on the mid tier or above i use them. Still trying to decide.

    You actually can use prism morphing on the 3z.

    Hi, I love your videos!!! I have this fixture and I am using it with myDMX2.0/3.0. I am having issue with making it move faster. Eg: pan, tilt left to right. is there any tutorials on it?

  • @edwarddurus1051
    @edwarddurus1051 6 років тому

    I connected these with myDmx 2.0, and it works really well.... how ever I cannot make the fixture move fast from left to right or make it move as fast as the pre programed show that the fixture came in with.
    Any tutorials on how to make them move faster?

    • @Nudgysirens
      @Nudgysirens 6 років тому

      Edward Durus There should be a dmx channel that allows you to adjust the m
      speed, I see that option on the etc element

    Can't understand why people complains about 5 pin dmx rather than 3 pin .... the 3 pins uses 3 phases and the 5 pins uses 3 phases too... so what makes it better ?? x) i want to know guys 😄

    • @jldjukvideo
      @jldjukvideo  7 років тому +2

      Because professional DMX controllers, splitters and other fixtures use 5 pin conectors. No real advantage other than the 5 pin cable is specificly DMX and audio cable can't be used instead.

    • @capaldi38
      @capaldi38 6 років тому

      The purpose of 5 pin in its original idea was so that we could transmit more than 512 channels (hence the name DMX 512) down the line, 3 pin connectors could only transmit 512 channels of information before becoming "cluttered and confused", by using 5 pins we could transmit 1536 channels in total split over 3 lines, others lighting techs used the extra pins to send spare signals from the control to stage for back -up. Most lighting techs would argue a good quality balanced microphone cable will work equally as well for intelligent lighting control.

    this fixture is realy disapointing.
    adj makes it nice on the picture but it isnt that great at all.
    I persanoly think there are not a lot of colors on the wheel.
    also the gobo's suck shit.
    you need to make a good balance between projection gobo's and arial gobo's.
    then wtf no prism morphing.
    the dmx focus is nice but wait my martin mac 250+ has that as well and those lights are 20 years old.
    and then the zoom function.
    if you do it do it right or don't.
    so in my eyes this movinghead looks nicer on the pictures then it realy is.
    nether the less nice video
