Bethenny a green corrector is for cancelling out red in skin. The orange cancels out dark blue/ purple circles under eyes for darker skin tones and peach for lighter skin tones. Yellow cancels out sallow/green discoloration. And so on. Think opposite sides of the color wheel in art. It’s all smoke and mirrors. BTW I’ve worked as a makeup artist for Estée Lauder, Clinique, Guerlain, Trish McEvoy, Dior, Chanel, Chantecaille, Sisley etc. I love your passion for makeup, and appreciate your research. Love you 🥰
Hello! Purple and Lavender Concealer neutralizes yellow and orange hues on the face. Those with yellow undertones can use purple concealers to cancel out blemishes and other skin imperfections. Keep in mind that there are many shades of purple to choose from, so you should pick one that goes with your skin color/tone. Pat it on don't smear it, and then pat foundation in your skin shade over it.

I don’t wear makeup either but I have to invest and learn what to buy since I’m in my late 40s I’m going to be re-entering the workforce soon. For some reason they don’t appreciate you or take you as seriously unless you have make up on.

I've tried at least a hundred over the last 10 years and hands-down it's IT Cosmetics. Jamie Kern founded that whole company starting with concealing due to her extreme rosacea. She has a really inspiring story. I've tossed my Lancome and Nars and all the others and IT really is all that, especially for someone older seeking hydration under the eyes. And her Bye Bye Redness for people who have red areas -- including toning down a pimple -- that product alone is the bomb. So glad B is here to tell us the low-down - keep up your own inspiring self that we've loved all these years!

This is probably annoying because I haven't watched this yet and my favorite might be in your bunch but Wet and Wild concealer is Outrageous! I'm 63 and it WORKS! Also NYX HD but hard to find sometimes. Revlon color stay skin awaken is sooo good in 002 but probably for us fairer gals. Thanks Bethany for all your help!

The past 2 weeks, I started my search for the right concealer, tried about 10. The Maybelline Eraser in the bright 160 works to conceal my under eye darkness and redness. The pink in it is perfect for me (I'm light to med, neutral undertone, pink skin). The round sponge applicator does make it difficult to target smaller spots, but I just put a brush into the sponge and use it that way. Lancome Concealer is excellent (put it on my elevens and uneven tones). I ended up with those 2 for my routine. I'm going to try the NYX concealer, I like their green corrector and am surprised I didn't try it. Nice, helpful vid!
I've always liked Bethenny from Housewives from the beginning. Yes, she's rich but she wasn't always. She struggled for years, working hard to get where she is but she has never forgotten where she came from. People like her have plenty of money but don't think going to Walmart or a drugstore to buy an inexpensive item that works is below them. I have money too but I will buy cheap products if they work. And I buy a lot from the Dollar store. Most millionaires live frugally, that's why they have money and she understands that because she at some point did not have money
Excellent video. You can tell this was true and tried personal experience. I'm 42 and recently my under eyes have become problematic. I never had issues with dark circles but my veins are showing a bit more and that causes a hollow, darkish look. It started bumming me out because it seems like it happened over night and I went on the search for the "perfect" concealer. Now watching influencers is the worst way you can go about getting advice because they all either lie or they just have different needs than me. So I bought a few concealers that I hadn't tried, drugstore and higher end(shape tape). I gotta say, I wholeheartedly agree with what you said about the process being more important than the actual concealer. So far I like the Tarte shape tape because it's a thin formula. I have discovered that I do better with more dry, thinner formulas. Too much of an emollient formula will crease more. Many people have not figured that out. Anyways, I'm still experimenting but I decided to take a pause and just use what I have for now.

I just finally tried the tarte creaseless bc I got a sample size in the mail and I’m so glad I did! I had skipped it bc of the reviews but now I’m positive those reviews are from these influencers who are 20 and like putting half a tube of concealer under their eyes! This concealer is soooo thick n it grips just like the bye bye undereyes but it says on the directions to USE ONLY ONE TINY DOT then use a dense brush n Pat it out n it’s honestly as full coverage as shape tape but hydrating! So glad I found it!

I appreciate you doing this for us. I want to mention a product I stumbled across that works for me. The Avene spf 50 compact sunscreen intended for face, works for me as a concealer corrector because it is darker and peachy orange slightly. But the bonus is it’s spf 50, made with zinc mineral sunscreen so it doesn’t irritate my eyes, and provides sun protection there, as is helpful when trying to lighten the area. I also find that it is helpful with something I have which is little sty’s around my eyes along with a retinol eye cream. I really like the Neutrogena, rapid wrinkle, repair eye cream, which is really a serum.
I’m not a watcher of your show and haven’t ever really paid attention to you (no offense I’m just not up on what’s popular), but I am LOVING watching you go on this journey and being completely genuine. I listen to you over people I’ve watched for a decade!
I am 58 years old and have never used a concealer. I did bye the Lancome one because of all the hype, but I just find concealer one more extra step that I don't need. Plus I don't have any dark circles under my eyes. People do rave about concealers. I just don't have the need for one. Thank you for your testing of these products.
I can’t stand Lancôme Idole Concealer yet it’s raved about all the time and the same for the mascara. I like Bye Bye It concealer and the NYX serum concealer. 😊

Thank you Bethany I battled breast cancer last year and I lost a breast but the chemotherapy was the worst that and the radiation gave me such dark circles under my eyes you know I didn’t feel like puttingOn make up anyways but now I do in the dark circles are still there and now I know what youse because I’m like medium like you I’m not your oil and I’m not too dry but I think I do need the spackle stuff and you talk about thank you and girl I Love that you’re doing the stuff and keep up the great work man
I haven't worn make up in years and started buying it again recently. I can't seem to find anything that I like. I just need these stores to put Bethenny face stickers on the fronts of the displays with the good stuff so I know which ones have been tried and are decent.
God, how I love you, Bethaneey! You must try the Chanel color corrector in peach. That's the horse to beat. I do want to thank you for the recommendation on the Idole Lancome one. I am purchasing that product today.
One thing about the moisturizer, corrector, concealer deal is that if you have fine lines and wrinkles it can start to look like a buildup of product, it definitely is a process to get it right.

Bethany, I agree with you. Moisturizing under the eyes makes a huge difference. In fact the whole face should be moisturized. Drinking water is also your friend keeps your skin hydrated. I have also tried all concealers I keep being drawn back to my age rewind from Maybelline. Depuffs and it feels so nice going on. Thank you for your videos.

She gives way more honest reviews than beauty influencers and I got all of these and agree with her on everything she said. That Nyx Serum concealer all the influencers were and are going on and on about and it is really does lack pigmentation like she says. The Age Rewind has more coverage and wears better. lA girl with the brush is also one of the better ones and very inexpensive. That will always be a holy grail, like the Age Rewind and both have corrector shades and pink shades.

One thing about the moisturizer, corrector, concealer deal is that if you have fine lines and wrinkles it can start to look like a buildup of product, it definitely is a process to get it right.

Bethany, I agree with you. Moisturizing under the eyes makes a huge difference. In fact the whole face should be moisturized. Drinking water is also your friend keeps your skin hydrated. I have also tried all concealers I keep being drawn back to my age rewind from Maybelline. Depuffs and it feels so nice going on. Thank you for your videos.

Hey, I was just watching another make up product review channel and Girl, you are so unique in voice & person. I love this channel🙏
She gives way more honest reviews than beauty influencers and I got all of these and agree with her on everything she said. That Nyx Serum concealer all the influencers were and are going on and on about and it is really does lack pigmentation like she says. The Age Rewind has more coverage and wears better. lA girl with the brush is also one of the better ones and very inexpensive. That will always be a holy grail, like the Age Rewind and both have corrector shades and pink shades.
