Blueberry Cobbler Muffin | Great Notion Brewing x Southern Grist Brewing Co. | Beer Review |

In this review, I'm going to take a look at another collaboration beer, this time between Great Notion Brewing (‪@greatnotionbrewing‬) and the Southern Grist Brewing Company, and it's their Blueberry Cobbler Muffin. This is a Sour Ale that is brewed with blueberries, cinnamon, natural and artificial flavors. It's a mash-up between Great Notion's Blueberry Muffin -- which I reviewed before and loved -- and Southern Grist's Blueberry Cobbler. Sounds like it's going to be a fun one, so let's see how it is!

Our yearly bake sale with Southern Grist is going down now with fresh cans of Blueberry Cobbler Muffin. This annual tradition we've kept up over the years combines our Blueberry Muffin with Southern Grist's Blueberry Cobbler into the ultimate baked good brew. The recipe is easy just add Oregon blueberries, cinnamon, vanilla, and a dash of Tennessee know how together and let it sour.

As a Portland local great notion is kind of overrated. Their beers are good, especially their dessert beers like the blueberry cobbler and the double stack stout, but you can find better beers from Oregon at cheaper prices. My recommendation would be Living Häus for IPAs and De Garde for sours

I've only had a handful of their beer, but I've enjoyed them all, for the most part. I do understand how they have a slight overrated vibe to 'em, though. Their pastry beers are definitely enjoyable, for sure. Those have been my favorite. I've never had anything from Living Häus, but I've heard great things about De Garde. We had a small drop of their stuff here in Buffalo, NY, but they were quite expensive. Might have to dive into 'em at some point. Appreciate the info and comment, Aaron!
