Since I didn’t mention it during the recording, here’s a lil bit about why Max loves BTS (so not just because they helped his song to reach #1 in Korea ;D ):
In an interview Max talked about his love for BTS’ honest and open lyrics, their fearlessness and fashion. He always felt like he didn’t fit into any culture musically, but with BTS, their fashion, breaking the norms of gender and how it is represented in music, finally there was something he could relate to. As a fan he was excited about the dancing, going all out, honest lyrics, immaculate fashion and how proud they were of who they are.
I feel that Max’s music shares a lot with what he loves as a fan :D

@@MrEQuecky Oh yes! I am definitely with you on this one.👍🏻I have seen it quite a few times now. I really like everything about it....the open air performance, their gorgeous styling, the hot weather, Anderson Paak & the fabulous band, the BTS members on peak form with their vocals & delivery, the relaxed ambience & vibe. So soothing & great to watch. I can't really explain but some of their special magic just seemed to happen at this place & time.👌🏻🙂
It's funny how Max was surprised that out of all the songs on the album Yoongi picked the loving, sentimental one and wrote lyrics to match - but Army wasn't in the least bit taken by surprise...we know there's a caring softy that exists alongside the savagery & aggression 🥰.
Btw Richard, if you want to know why we indentify Yoongi with a cat, it's because esp in the early years, there was a lot of rehearsal footage, where he would turn up and immediately sit or lay down or put the minimum permissable effort in and Army compared him to cats who spend most of the day sleeping & wrongly labelled him as lazy. In fact the truth was the complete opposite - the reason why he was tired & wanted to rest was because he spent so many times working through the night on music! Also - he's generally introverted and prefers to sit quietly in a corner, while the extroverts in the group mess about 😄AND he's smaller in stature & has a relatively small, cute face and his eyes slant down in a way none of the others' eyes do, which makes him look quite cat-like! 😸😻
I don't think it was specifically mentioned, but as the song was released during the pandemic, that's why Yoongi couldn't go over & film anything for the MV, hence why Max inc the cat, which we all thought was a lovely, cute gesture! 😁☺
And he sometimes purrs lol
Max is also part of the songwriting team for the BTS hit "Yet to Come". It was Dan Gleyzer, J-Hope, Max, Pdogg, RM, and Suga, with Pdogg serving as producer.
The song is an Army favorite and the Official MV is loaded with visual symbolic references to some of their biggest songs. 💜
he also co-produced/co-wrote the TXT song Happily Ever After for Big Hit too!
Time to listen to Burn It! Max said it was the darkest song he'd been on, so he was surprised Yoongi chose Blueberry Eyes because it's such an upbeat, happy song. It'd be interesting to listen to the contrast! And you'll hear more of Max's crazy range.
Fun fact: the cat on video is a reference of Yoongi, 'cause armys call him "cat", so Max did that 😊

Max has such an amazing voice and presence! I found him through Burn It and it quickly became one of my favorite Agust D songs.
Friends of mine were in LA when Max joined SUGA on stage during Suga's D-Day concert and it was so hype LOL. Love their friendship. The first song I heard from Max was "Lights Down Low" - he joked because when he first put it out it didn't to terribly well on the radio but then like a year or two later it exploded all over radio 😀That is where I heard him for the first time, and THEN he was collabing with BTS and it was perfect. Max speaks with such respect of the guys, Truly love their friendship.

Yes, Yoongi can be the most aggressive with his rap among BTS, but then he writes one of the most romantic, sentimental or heartbreaking lyrics in BTS' discography. So songs like this are very Suga's style too.
And ARMY consider Yoongi a cat because he has this feline look to him and he is an absolute cat in personality. This is a huge meme in the fandom (maybe even bigger than JK being a bunny) and BigHit's staff with BTS' members referred to Yoongi as a cat numerous of times.
My favourite was when RM posted photo of a stray cat on his insta and tagged cat as AgustD.😅
And another one when ARMY posted a picture of a cat taken by policmen with captions: "Min Yoongi you are under arrest for stealing my heart", or something along the lines and Suga responded with: "First put me down and then we'll talk".🤣🤣🤣
I miss my boy Suga! Please react Suga's collaboration with PSY --- THAT THAT song produced and and it really featured Suga in tge video, MV is funny and catchy and shows how versatility of Suga in producing music whether hardcore, sentimental, a break up song like Seesaw or a kind of comedic song like that that but still has a vibes him rapping, he can do everything, the reason he is my bias !! Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Max is a good artist. I never heard of him until BTS. Max is actually army and it was so sweet to get to know him. Him learning Korean is so cool. And Suga looks like a cat and acts like one so he has always been a cat. =0p Max put that in because he knows that as army. Lol. It's an inside fandom thing. Suga is known as little meow meow. SUGA is known by ARMY as a cat because in the early days BTS worked so many hours with little sleep. You would often see him curled up in a ball back stage on a chair or couch taking a "cat" nap. Combine that with his dislike of physical affection from the members, his savage reaction to situations where he becomes fiercely protective of his members and his soft caring personality.
Max is such a great artist. He also participated in writing lyrics for btss song Yet To Come, mainly the English part. Not not mention burn it aaahhhh a masterpiece 🗣I SEE THE ASHES FALLING OUT YOUR WINDOOOW. THERE IS SOMEONE IN MIRROR THAT YOU DONT KNOOOOW. AND EVERYTHING WAS ALL WRONG. Things kind of came full circle with Max on Suga's Agust D tour. Suga and Max performed Burn It at one of the tour's Los Angeles concerts and then Jungkook sang it with Suga during the final concerts in Seoul. Have people been telling you about IU and V? IU is a legend in Korea and V acted in the MV with her for her new song Love Wins All. The MV is exquisite. If you check it out I would recommend just watching the MV through first and then go back to talk about the song and lyrics. Would love to hear what you think of IU. She also has done songs with Suga. Eight and People Part 2.

I want to comment about the cat situation. Hahaha. All of BTS members are represented by animals. I have no idea where/when/how this originated, but we use animals to represent them in almost everything we do with/for them. For example, when we post/chat over twitter or weverse, we use their animal emojis. Or we post animal photos, gifs, or videos that "look" or "act" like them. This has been going on for years, and BigHit has adopted these animal representations in their posts and contents too as memes, etc.
RM is a koala 🐨; Jin is a hamster 🐹; SUGA is a cat🐱; J-hope is a squirrel🐿; Jimin is a chick🐥; Jungkook is a bunny🐰; Then there is an ongoing, never-ending debate that Taehyung is either a tiger🐯 or a bear🐻

MAX is coming out w his 3rd album this February, one of the tracks of this new album called, Stupid in Love feat a member of Le Sserafim named Huh Yunjin aka Jennifer. It would be great if y'all could check it out when released as another reaction to MAX and a nice segue/introduction to (one of the members of) the group.
Le Sserafim is a 5-member girl group under Source Music/HYBE that debuted in 2022. Yunjin, born in 2001 and raised in New York, has an opera background having had in interest in musical theater, songwriting, and many other ventures growing up.

I've been recently enthralled by this wonderful South Korean Musical Actor that I stumbled upon to whom I think you might enjoy reacting or at least listening to on your own.
I'm not completely familiar with his body of work as I am just now listening to his songs.
His name is Ko (last name), Eun Sung (first name). Or Go Eun Sung or Eunsung Ko, lol.

i never had listened this song. it is so gorgeous song, wow. and Max's korean singing, huge respect. i just started to learn language (because of BTS of course 😀) and im reading 10 words per minute 🤣
Thank you for your reaction to this collaboration and exploring BTS ! BTS are 7 normal boys who are are legends because of their talent and most importantly, their genuity and depth. They can do a range of genres and their songs' lyricism is exceptional, their older members like RM and Suga (August D) are like lyrics masters. The messages that they bring out in their songs is healing, inspiring and thought provoking.
They have themes and trilogies in their discography, which we hope you can slowly explore while they are on "hiatus"
- like The Most Beautiful Moments in Life (exploration of adulthood challenges or youth),
- the Love Yourself theme (about loving others, pain of love and self love),
- The Map of the Soul theme (exploring the topic of human psyche like persona, shadow, ego) ...
the way they link all these themes is like going on a life journey with us using music and lyrics as a bridge to connect. Their music has helped many people overcome difficult times in life and inspire them to love themselves and speak themselves. BTS has in a way stepped up a level and developed into a stage of "helping others" in a way they could not have imagined.
If you are interested to explore more, you can watch their songs and turn on the CC subtitles to have a feel of what their songs try to convey, its gonna stimulate your mind and senses :) .. there are so many songs to delve into i can't even choose which ones lol , but some great choices will be black swan, mic drop, idol, fake love, silver spoon, blood sweat & tears, piep piper, angpanman etc etc etc

He was given a track and he basically came up with the melodies and most of the English lyrics, as far as I understood. So definitely just co-writing, but if you love the melodies, that is mostly him :)

I think their voice only comes through the left earpiece, so if that one isn't working, you won't hear them.
