Great video! Are you still treating your RC bodies with the Pattex stuff or did you happen to find a better (not necessarily cheaper) but commonly available alternative in Belgium / The Netherlands?
thank you for watching the video. In the description i posted a link from a new kind off silicone that only cost 3 euro. cheap and i use it now instead of the pattex. Pattex isn't available in my area anymore.
Hi, Question. Are the body's that you treated with the Pattex Power Fix still okay now that 3 years has passed? I also looked up the Shoe Goo and that is way to expensive in The Netherlands to my opinion. I ordered a new body for my son's RC car and they are expensive to so i want to make sure the body strong but still flexible.
they are still ok, i did more bodies with that method. But if you really want a strong body check out basherbodies (link in my description). I am from belgium and shoo goo is way overpriced indeed.
Just curious if this has held up over time? Have ya done enough bashing to tell if this has worked? I've done Shoe Goo and it flat out works but like you said, it's expensive and has strong fumes ya have to breath in...
I don't own any bodies that are done with shoo goo so i really can't compare ... But the bodies i did ... Like my talion and gravedigger body and Maxx body are still holding up until today ... Sure they are not how they used to look but i still got them ... And i am not treating them gently ... 👍👊🤟
@NBRC I got it to stick and I've used UHU adhesive around the edges of the tape 😬 were the creases are bit of a mistake there as it has acetone added and it has taken bits of the finish off inside of the body 😂
I've never done the body reinforcement on any of my bodies. I bought the drywall tape with intentions of doing so, but I just haven't. Most of my RC bodies I don't care about as much as I thought I would have when I got my first hobby grade. Nowadays I have been just buying an indestructible body. Only RC bodies I have that are still in new condition is one for my Losi LST 3XLE and I bought that before knowing there was an indestructible body for the platform. 2nd is a brand new Losi Super Baja Rey V1, and the third is a Kraton EXB body because I've only run it for testing so far. I'm pretty sure there is a indestructible body for the Kraton as well.
i know there is ... if you check my channel you can see i also have indestructible badys ... from Basherbodies ... those are the best out there in my opninion. But some bodies i want to keep them looking kinda nice so ...
@@NBRC yeah ive been wanting to do the drywall tape shoe goo mod for a while because bodies are expensive and with an easy cheap fix its def worth it so this weekend im going to the store to get the pattex stuff drywall and stuff to paint a new body also i might get some silicone ear plugs to lock up the center diff that way you make better wheelies and dont blow out tires

I use duct tape, not expensive easy to apply and cheap. And its strong enough imo. Greeting from the Netherlands :)

How do you get the tape to stick to the body pleas3? Everytime I try it just doesn't stick 😅
This tape has a adhesive side to it so it sticks .... You can also use hot glue tot let it stick ..

Shoe goo is so expensive here in the netherlands so im 100% going to try this rc bodies dont last me long at all and i dont even bash that hard lol

Can also try E6000 glue. Still stinks but may not be as expensive as Shoe Goo
Don't know that ... The stuff i used smells a little bit but it doesn't stink ... It has a smell but nothing annoying or strong ...
