In this episode we see Gabriel Jesus in one of his greatest performances during the 2015 season against Cruzeiro. His team; Palmeiras were into the last 16 of the Copa do Brasil and were facing Cruzeiro away from home in this 2nd leg, after defeating them 2-1 at home in the 1st leg. This was his 2nd ever start in a Cup game and only the 16th in his career. Jesus assisted the opening goal which put them 3-1 ahead on aggregate. He then went onto score a double within 5 mins which put Cruzeiro's hopes to bed. The game ended 2-3 (3-5 agg.) and Palmeiras went on to advance to the Quarters, Semis and Finals where they ended up winning it all thanks in part to Jesus. The 18 year old finished the season with 8 goals and 7 assists for both club and country. Manchester City signed him the summer after for €32M and well, the rest is history!
“The Match That Made” is a new series that I'm experimenting with. The concept is to show the superstars of today, in their best performance of the season before they got signed to a top club. Of course 1 game doesn't make the player who they are today but those special performances are the ones that catch the eyes of world watching!

At 18 it was evident he had all the ingredients to be a top striker. Selfless movement off the ball, good hold up play, speed, work rate and finishing ability.

He's a happy boy. I can tell cuz he was raised in the club I support, SE Palmeiras.
His 'crying' expression was always a joke subject among the football fans here in Brazil, but the truth is that he was born in a hard place in the city of Sao Paulo and had a difficult and poor formation.
However he's a happy boy, plays a happy and offensive football just like the brazilian school thaught him.

In this year Palmeiras were the champions by beating Santos FC in the final of the Copa do Brasil in the Allianz Parque Stadium in Sao Paulo.
Gabriel stood one year and was sold by the end of the 2016 season by a fee of 33m euros, biggest transfer in club's history. He won the Brasileirão league by Palmeiras in that year, after 22 years of waiting without any league title. Our supporters respect this player, despite his age he honoured the glorious colors of the only jersey 10 times champions in Brasil SE PALMEIRAS. We are forever grateful.

I think pep's preffered starting cf is jesus coz he suits to pep's style.But pep cannot make aguero sit in bench coz aguero is legend and still top 5 cf in the world.
U know what, the thing is Aguero has upped his playing style making him undroppable by Pep. Before Jesus came, Aguero seemed like a player that did not want to track back and helped the defence but after Jesus came, he became much more fitter and causing Pep some good dilemma whether to play him or Jesus. If only Mendy is not injured, both of them can play together but Sane could not play though. Poor Pep.
Jesus is great at link up play but his finishing and ability to score goals out of nothing isn't anywhere near Aguero's level yet. Jesus is certainly looking poised to be Citys next striker though when Aguero moves on in the next few years
