HF Predator 3500 Generator Starter Issue Fix & Test

- My starter quit working on my 5 year old predator generator shortly after installing a new battery. This unit has 1140 hours on it been great. The starter quit here is the issue the test & fix. U should disconnect the battery after testing before U replace the defective solenoid! Total cost under $15. Got Item on E bay. Just search for this item they also have complete starters for around $35. Easy fix U can do it!

Good information.. Mine stopped last year I think im gonna check it and see mine is about 3467hrs and I been pull starting it it still starts after the 2nd pull... Its the 9,000 champion... Keep it up brother
Thanks. Funny how it quit after new battery installed sick of pull starting it .It always start first or 2nd pull. Battery went about a year ago.

Would you do a video on how to change pull chord on predator 3500, am tired of it ripping off and I have to pay for the it to get fixed which I think I can do it myself, but the problem the recoil starter is hidden inside and I don't know how to go about it, please help.

Yes so far this time of year it's used alot. 1 battery &1 starter fix in 5 years 1200 hrs not bad.

Where did the wire go with the round washer terminal go? Is it just floating back there? The factory solenoid don’t have that style terminal.

Is there a fuse anywhere because i just replaced mines and it won’t start
Where did plug the other lead on the solenoid. U replaced one lead and the other one was one eyelid
had a problem with starting and not continuing to run I found the starter module was wet saturated so I disconnected put in a bag of rice for about 4 hours reinstalled it and that solve the problem it was a pinch situation out on the road
First phones now this with the whole "rice" repair!!!
don't you think those little China-men have enough on their plate than to rush to your place everytime you put rice on something and make them fix what ever it is???

I've had 7 of these 3500's and let me tell you they are junk. I have a tiny home and run this machine every day. The 1st generation of 3500's spark arrested would clog up every couple days. Then the start stop assembly fell apart, one caught on fire. Had defective co sensor right out of the box. One all the screws fell out all the time. The last 2 were starters. Each time they replace the machine they hit me up for a new warranty. Now they want 300 bucks for the warrantee. So in total I've spent about $2600 bucks on this junk. Should have bought a Honda.
